Had a nice chat with the employee about library and comic shop partnerships and was offered some stuff to give my students. Walked out with a statue I'd been hoping to find again after giving my first one away as a prize. Very nice, knowledgeable staff with a wide variety of games and comics and the prices on the statues were not marked up. It is a little out of my way, but I'll make a point of stopping in whenever I am in that part of DFW again.

Harvey has launched this place to new heights and has been friendly to all involved (He is a great Dungeon Master for D&D, especially for the little ones new to the game). In terms of stock for things other than comics, they have a selection that I see as mediocre at best at times, though this is likely due to supply and demand, especially now considering everything going on. Necessary D&D minis were sometimes hard to come across even before this. Overall, the Multiverse is a great place to stop in my experience. I was looking through a comic to see if I liked the art the story just skimming through it and he walks up to me and first asks if we're looking for anything specific then says "We're not gonna be reading through comics and reshelving today" then takes it out of my hands and puts it in the back of the store then when my brother said we were going to buy it he gave a half assed apology saying people do it all the time and I would forgive him for that case BUT I was not only looking at a comic before that one I was holding it around the store then when my brother found the one I was looking for I put the comic I HAD back where it goes on the shelf in numerical order and assuming they have cameras the old bald white dude that was being a dick should've seen that but I guess not. Please don't come here the owner is very passive aggressive and one time we went in, this employee was YELLING at the other employee for grabbing a wrong comic, like come on people seriously if you care about customer service don't come here maybe like two of the employees are chill.

Last time I was there, there was a young boy with his mom, he was looking at pokemon cards. The mom clearly didn't know much and the people at the counter did not offer any help. He wanted to look through bulk but the counter was too high. The mom gave up and just told him to look at the cards on display and pick from there. I swear if this kid could've looked through the bulk he would've had such an amazing experience! (They have good cards). Instead he walked away with a single card from the display. Kinda sad, I know lots of adults collect this stuff but we can't forget that we became obsessed with it when we were kids like him.

I had to introduce myself and explain I was there to inquire about selling some Pokémon cards. He then told me they only buy in bulk. Fine - I actually came in with a huge collection plus a rare Dragonite V Alternate Art 192/203 (Evolving Skies Full Art Alt Art). SECOND - I asked if he wanted to at least look at the rare card. He declined without hesitation, then added that shops "only pay 20%-30% of the value." That is completely FALSE. THIRD - After all of this, I said "okay" and wrapped it up. But was I thanked for coming in? Was I told "have a good day" or even a simple "bye"? Nope. Just another blank stare. This shop clearly does not value its customers or show even the bare minimum of courtesy. Even if they don't want to purchase something, the least they could do is provide basic customer service. Instead, I walked away feeling disrespected and dismissed. Absolutely awful experience.

Uber friendly, patient, and full of knowledge of all things comic related. The store is very very small... a bit uncomfortable for my taste, especially when there are 3 or more people in there. But honestly, that is my only complaint. They strive to help everyone novice or expert, and they definitely have a system. Oh, they should incorporate a military/veteran discount. Although it does not carry what I'm specifically interested in, if you like to play board games in a relaxed social atmosphere and pick up more modern-day collectibles, this might be the place for you. Madness has a wide variety of collector card sets, board games, and also modern action figure lines, with Star Wars and G.I. Joe as large focal points. Madness does carry some vintage Star Wars figures from the '70s/'80s but it really shines with the franchise toy lines that have come after that heyday, with deep inventory in the sequel trilogy figures, Power of the Force, post-prequel movie and streaming show figures, and the Retro Collection. This is also the place if you love the Pop! Funko figures (which I do not in the least) as Madness has definitely gone all in on the craze. I found the staff to be helpful with my questions during my visit and they gave me space to think about some items I was mulling over. I couldn't really ask anything from the guy working the counter because a chatty regular came in. After a while I bought the issues that I wanted and asked for a TPB pre-order. The guy working the counter took my information and acted optimistic about getting it to me etc. Never got called about the pre-order. Months after the release, I had to purchase elsewhere. I understand there are minimum order quantities with the distributors and that I might have been the only person interested in the TPB, but a warning or update would have been nice.
