The pumpkin patch itself is quite nice. There is a wide variety. But be warned, during pumpkin season they charge $10 to park there, which I think is insane!!! Most other places, parking is free. Plus, I felt their pricing is inconsistent and almost lacking integrity. I pointed to a pumpkin inside the barn and asked what that would cost. The girl told me $25 (it was large). I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend that much, but after some debate, I finally decided to bite the bullet. But upon bringing it up, the girl at the register tells me $35. WTF? The first girl was still there and I said, you just said it was $25. Clearly, I did not purchase it. With that said, my friend bought four pumpkins and the total cost was quite reasonable. I'm torn, it's a cute place but I go back to that $10 parking fee. It's just not right, especially b/c we are buying pumpkins and paying for all the play time in the jump houses. read more

We just had our son's 3rd birthday party here and it was amazing! The party room was set up with flowers, balloons and table cloths. We had train rides, jumper and a petting zoo. The entire facility was reserved for our party and we were allowed to stay beyond our party time. The most important though was the phenomenal service we received from the dad -Hank. He was extremely professional, friendly, and all around sweet man! All of our guests had nothing but positive comments about the place and party. Everyone loved it! We love Pastorino Farms! We'll definitely come back for another birthday party. We highly recommend this farm to everyone! Booking the party was super easy too. I went with my daughters preschool class for a field trip this morning. Cute place with lots of pumpkins and fun stuff to do but the majority of the people working here were cold towards the kids and families. It was a strange vibe. Maybe it was too early in the morning and they were not yet ready for 22 excited 4 year olds. Also, the bathrooms were disgusting!! I couldn't even go in and decided instead to wait for 2 hours until I got home. I feel sorry for people that can't wait (like children!). read more

I took my 15 month-old daughter and my mother here yesterday, and they both loved it. Unlike Lemos, the Pastorino grounds are open, spacious, and on a Tuesday afternoon, pretty quiet. They provide lots of space for picnics, and the plentiful supply of pumpkins is interspersed between pretty flower beds. The highlights for us included the over-sized wagons supplied for towing your kids (or pumpkins) around, and the miniature train that runs on a real train track. The driver even wears a traditional engineer outfit, and let's all the kids come up to the front to ring the bell. read more

We really enjoyed our visit to Pastorino Farms. The petting zoo, pony rides and train rides were a hit with our family. The property is much bigger than the one across the street and in our opinion much more enjoyable. The rides are longer too. It's much more pleasant, fun, enjoyable and more like a farm than Lemos and it has a more down home, inviting feel. Lemos has gotten too commercial, too loud and gaudy and just plain crowded and unenjoyable. Come to Pastorino and enjoy the true farm feel! read more

We just had our daughter's 5th birthday party here and it was amazing!!! They were the only farm with an indoor option for those winter birthdays. The staff was alway responsive and so nice. We visited the farm this weekend, using the Living Social deal, which was a pass for a family of four for "Family Fun Days." It was fun, but no way worth the $40 value that the deal promoted (for $20). The place seems a bit disorganized and it's hard to figure out who works there. It was pretty full, with a huge birthday party happening. There is a tiny petting zoo (seemed like nobody was "in charge" of it), with a pig, a goat, some bunnies and chickens. The animals were pretty mellow and seemed well cared for. There were pony rides, which we didn't do, and a jump house,which we didn't do because my son is too little. He had more fun playing with the push toys scattered around. We wanted to walk around the farm a bit, but couldn't figure out where we were allowed to go, beyond the obvious play area by the front barn. So overall, it was fun for a quick visit, but we could have done everything we did there for free, just by showing up. So not worth the LIving Social deal, but still a cute little place. read more

Best. Birthday party. Ever. OK, granted, the amazing weather went a long way. But the smiles on all the 4-yr-old and 5-yr-old faces earned Pastorino my five stars. The kids were running back and forth excitedly between the train, the hayride and the jumpy house. No lines, since no one from the general public was there. Kitschy Halloween decor in the middle of summer? Yes, but the kids thought that was fabulous. The toddler siblings loved the tiny petting zoo. All the parents were happy to be outdoors instead of in some play gym. The barn-themed party room needed no additional decoration -- there were festive table cloths and eclectic decor. The Pastorino team was pretty hands-off, which was fine by us. Big success! read more

I had my daughter's first birthday party there and had about 120 people (including 45 kids). Everyone had a great time, there is something for kids of every age and for adults as well. The location is beautiful to spend a day away from hot summer. The staff made it a great experience with unlimited train ride, hay ride, pony ride, jumper, and petting zoo. I booked it for 4 hours and every kid had the ride multiple times. I received many emails from the guests calling it the best birthday party ever. We recently attended a birthday party for one of my son's classmates here and it was great. There was a jumper, petting zoo, pony ride, hay ride, and a train ride for the kids. The party room was right next to the play area and parking lot making it very convenient. The room was enclosed which was pleasantly warm and very nicely decorated. The kids had a blast and the owners even operated the train and hay ride an extra hour for all the kids. What a great day. We are even considering throwing our next birthday party here. read more

I have many fond memories of this culaso place; growing up, every year my parents would bring my brother and I down here for pumpkins and Christmas tree which were and still are of good quality, as well as fun with the train ride, hey ride, poney ride, various nicnaks, produce, plants , and so forth. It was always a blast wondering through the endless patches of pumpkins and Christmas trees to find the perfect one, and to have fun carving them and decorating the trees. I am diing to take my niese there next time she is in town. So, for excllent holliday, produce, and nursery needs complete with fun for the kids, Pasterino's cannot be beat. Had a great party here. The kids rode the train and hayride for a couple hours straight with Hank gladly driving them around repeatedly. The party space is roomy and private and you get plenty of personal attention. Everyone had a nice time. Went here by accident this weekend. We got lost going to the Art and Pumpkin festival. When I showed up there with 4 kids and 2 adults, we immediately parked in Lemos farm across the street. I didn't realize they were 2 different places until I saw that the signs were for a different farm. We went to get our kids on jumpers and noticed that we had to pay for each thing individually. Thats where they get you... then, I saw that there porta potties were full of "you know what" and I went into the office to ask if they had another bathroom. An older gentleman and a middle aged gentleman, both said there was no other bathroom. The sanitation stations to wash hands were even empty with no water. DISGUSTING!!! I was so grossed out... and the pumpkins had mold on them. That just turned me off... I ran right back across to Lemo's... Idnt even know if that's the name of the place we were, I just knew they had a lady cleaning their bathrooms, who waited to refill the areas. I'm very disappointed in the quality of service even after I brought it to their attention. They should have taken care of that immediately. It is a health violation, I'm sure of it! Always a great time at Pastorino's Farm in Half Moon Bay - we've been getting our pumpkins here for the last 40 years! It's still a wonderful family run business, and great for all ages. Parking is easy, fun rides, and they still have the best pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread around! We love shopping in their gift barn, and never seem to walk away empty handed. We always find so many delightful and unique holiday items that you really don't see at other local stores or shops. Halloween definitely would not be the same for our family if we didn't visit at least once a season, thanks Pastorino's!! read more

As a flower delivery service, Pastorino's is lousy. We have gotten flowers from family and friends on occasion, and they have either been wilted, buggy, or dried out. We have had so much trouble with them that we had to get them to reject all flower orders for our house. It's the only way to keep the annoyance factor down. read more

Just went to my son's friend's birthday party there today and was surprised by how much fun the kids had. I didn't even think of this kinda place as birthday party venue for 5 yrs old and apparently this farm only started doing it since a few years ago (unlike their counter part across the street who has been pro for almost 20 yrs). Hank is very personable and seems to be willing to work his guests for the party and being tireless about manning the hayride and the train rides until the kids were tired out. Echo others comment about this place being not as loud and one main reason you are not sharing the space with few other parties at the same time. The fact that we can have the whole place is definitely nice. read more

This review is for their party services. We had our daughter's second birthday on the farm this past weekend. All our guests loved it and many told us that it was the best kids' birthday party they had ever been to. Scott and his father Henry were very gracious hosts and honored all our requests. They decorated the room beautifully and even let us stay past our allotted time and gave the kids extra train and hay rides. The best part about Pastorino's, which sets them apart, is that you get the entire farm and all the rides to yourself. We cannot recommend it highly enough. We will have to come back now. read more

DO NOT buy the pony party deal on groupon you will be very disappointment. I bought one six month before my son birthday. I like to plan early. I got the total run around by the lady (terry)that handles the party. When I first called to try to booked it took 2-3 weeks for someone to return my call. When they final got a call back she couldn't answer all my question and had to get back to me and she said she was in the middle of moving. Ok I was very understanding she said she would get back to me once she was done. It took another 6 weeks to respond and I still needed the animal certificate and Heath records. She then found it 2 weeks later I ask to mail a copy or email but she texted it to me which she was holding it in her hand took a picture. Yea how professional. Oh and they were not original either that we're copy and you couldn't even read it. which was ok but I needed a copy she told me to print it and everybody she know when you print a text picture it's a picture not a actually form. I ask her to just find the papers and get back to me ASAP it's already been 3 months and it getting close to my sons birthday. I keep on emailing her every 2weeks final the 4 weeks later she got me and said she will fax it to me that took another 3 weeks then fax came you couldn't even read it and she said that's all she have I mean your running a farm and you don't have the original proof of your animals Health records. Hmmm ok She said she move and she just don't know where it is umm wrong answer. She a also had multiply excuse two other which I was very understand . I told her just get back me . So now my kids birthday is 6-7 weeks I basically told her I will be canceling my groupon deal cause she couldn't get me the information that I needed. I even told her stop wasting my time if you don't want my business caus honestly I can take my business else were. She text me back to explain herself and give me some other bullshit and run around. She even said she get back to me I know she wasn't going to back I was like ok. I was done totally done. They are not very professional they don't now how to run a business well I guess maybe that's why they these deal on groupon because there business is not doing well. Now my son birthday is a week a way did I hear back from her nope. What's new! Maybe there's farm part is nice. But I will know cause I wouldn't want to go business with these people again. We just had our daughters fourth birthday at the farm over the weekend. Best Party location ever!!! The weather was wet and raining and the party was still a hit. We had a huge decorated green house to ourselves. With balloons and colorful table covers and chairs all included. Hank was so helpful and always available to take the kids on a fun train ride through the nurseries, fun hay ride around the property and the jumpy house was ready for jumpers at any time. I love that they only have one party at a time and you never feel rushed. The kids have been talking about it since we left. I even forgot my purse and was able to pick it up the next morning, with all my belongings. Hank even gave us a nice bouquet of flowers when we left. We just had a birthday party here for my son, who turned 2. The owners Hank and Scott were both really great. We were in the front party room closer to the highway, which is further away from the events, but it was fine because the train would come over and pick up our guests to take them to the various activities, and then take them back. The kids at our party ranged in age from 1 to 4 years old, which seemed to be the perfect age. They all loved the bouncy house, train ride and hay rides. A few of them were scared of the ponies, so not everyone took a turn there. Several guests commented that they really enjoyed their time at Pastorino's because it was less chaotic than Lemos. Our room came equipped with a microwave, which was a great help, and Scott offered to let us used their fridge if needed. Overall- such a great experience. Our guests loved it and so did my little boy! read more

My son and I met Hank personally last year and he actually remembered us on our recent visit last weekend. Hank is sincerely happy to have families and kids around especially at Halloween time and harvest time. The farm is clean, organized and the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon. There are plenty of shaded areas for the older folks to sit while the little ones run around and enjoy the farm. The employees always have a smile; Janet is a sweetie and gentle with really young kids. The animals are well kept and the jump house and slide are cleaned regularly. The gift shop is stocked with all sorts of knick-knacks that are reasonably priced. The farm also hosts fabulous birthday-pony parties. I am impressed that Hank and his son are such hard workers, friendly, and take the time to meet their customers. We've been coming here for 5 years now and have a memorable time each visit. I've never been to the farm across the street, but if you like things less "commercialized" Pastorino Farm is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy the pumpkin harvest season. read more

I recently had my son's 5th birthday party at Pastorino Farms and it was fabulous! The father and son team running the farm are very friendly and really go out of their way to ensure the party runs smoothly. The great thing about this location is that you get the ENTIRE farm for the party (not just a little picnic table). This includes personal train rides, hayrides, bounce house and for an extra fee a petting zoo and ponies. We brought in the petting zoo only and there seemed like plenty to do. The party room is adorable and the farm supplied plastic tablecloths (our choice of color) and color coordinated balloons (included in the quoted price). We were the only party scheduled for the day, so they left the bouncy house up and gave train rides to our guests an hour after the party ended. To top it off, the farmer gave me beautiful floral bouquet (it's a flower farm) thanking us for having the party there. The whole day was wonderful. Oh, you can have up to 80 guests! We had about 65 and it did not feel crowded at all. I highly recommend! read more

It's okay. We're been to Lemo's farm across the street many many times and decides to give this place a try when a Groupon deal came along. Between my husband and I we bought three Groupons and I wish I only got one. This place is basic, a train ride, a tractor ride, bouncy house, two ponies and a petting zoo. The business hour says it closes at 5 but by 4:10 the ponies are gone, the animals in the petting zoo are gone and so are the tractor ride, leaving only the bouncy house and the train ride, a bit disappointing. There is no snack bar when we went there but it's coming soon. Lemo's farm's groupon gives you a better deal, you get unlimited rides, but Pastorino farm's groupon gives you a set amount of coupons which for us, two adults and two children would come out to two trains rides, two tractor rides and twice on the pony ride. Lemo's farm is crowded but they have more things for the kids to do. read more
