We always loved Pat and Gracie's but they're slipping. Today we went in and ordered beignet balls with caramel sauce and whipped cream, a burger with fries and a chicken sandwich with mac and cheese...everything was horrible and overcooked. The beignet balls were burnt and had no caramel sauce but had a nice whipped cream. The medium burger was cooked well done and pretty flavorless with burnt fries. The chicken in the sandwich was hammered so thin, dried out completely and hard as hell, and the mac and cheese was pasta in an orange flavorless soup that just sat in the bowl and did not cling to the noodles. All in all, a disappointing day there. Hope they get their act together, we used to love them. read more

Really awesome place - yes, the food is wonderful, but the customer service shines. In this day and age of difficulty finding good workers, I've gotten used to mediocre service at most restaurants. Here, however, everyone we met was kind and were over the top helpful. We came with two cold and hungry children. We're not the easiest of diners as three of us have IgE mediated allergies, so we ask lots of questions about food. They cheerfully answered and checked on ingredients for us. I came here during lunchtime hour, and I felt pretty safe. The reason being, there was nobody in the place for the most part outside of the safe. It was just me. That was fine with me, so I asked if I could sit at the bar and order my food, and they told me that I could. I have a lot of allergies, so I built my burger. I ordered a well-done hamburger with lettuce, pickle, and half of a slice of cheese. I know that half a slice of cheese can seem somewhat attractive, but I can't have a lot of cheese when I received my burger; the first thing that I notice is that they put the half slice of cheese on one half of the burger. I thought that this was funny. I bid the staff farewell and went outside to sit in my cad and enjoy my meal. The burger was juicy and tastes great. I like this burger because the natural flavor shuns through. It didn't need a host of condiments to make the sandwich taste good. I didn't even put anything on my burger and ate it as it were. The fries are great and had the right amount of salt and crispiness. Nothing about this meal was greasy at all. The staff was fantastic and kind, and the facility is immaculate and feels safe. We stopped here on our way through Columbus and were quickly greeted and seated. It's a pretty small place so we were lucky they had tables available. We started with the caramelized onion, bacon dip with lavash bread. It was delicious. The bread was fresh off the flattop with a nice crisp on it. I had the pimento cheese burger and fries. The taste overall was great. I'm a sucker for good pimento cheese and this was a good one. The only critique I have with the burger is the choice of bread. Although the bread was toasted to perfection I think this burger needed a bun. I had a few bites that were all bread and no burger. This was our first time trying this sort of fancy bar/bistro/burger place. The interior is quite small, but the decor is cool with chandeliers and a huge bar with a nice liquor display. It was a hot day, and it was pretty warm, humid, and uncomfortable inside. The waitress checked and said the air conditioning was on, but there must be something wrong with it. Oh well. They actually have a small-ish menu which is basically all salads, sandwiches, and burgers. On the wall is a board with their daily specials which includes entrees like spaghetti and meatballs, prime rib, meatloaf and more. We started with the mozzarella sticks which were quite good. Large and hot with a great crunchy and flavorful coating. Then I tried the Gracie's chicken sandwich. When it arrived it had sriracha mayonnaise smeared on both buns which was not listed on the menu. The waitress graciously had it re-made without the mayo as I'm not a fan, and she admitted that had happened before since the mayo wasn't listed on the menu. The sandwich itself was good. A large and juicy chicken breast with a very nice avocado mousse. The side salad was decent, but the croutons seemed very soft rather than crunchy. Overall, this was a decent place that was close to four stars. I would probably visit again and give them another chance particularly to try one of their daily special entrees. read more

The restaurant occupies a small space with moderate table seating as well as bar seats. The place is nice! Very rustic feel with wood decorations and colorful chandeliers. SERVICE To be fair-- we visited during burger and beer week so they were very busy, but our server was kind of touch and go. Nice fella but hard to keep track of. One person in our party requested an iced tea refill, of which he completely forgot about. Same as later in the meal when I asked for a box. I had to remind him while he said "goodnight" to us. FOOD / BEVERAGE Food was AMAZING. I got their chimichuri burger -- two patties with bacon, Monterey jack cheese, avocado mousse, caramelized onions and house-made chimichuri sauce. It was phenomenal. All burgers come with fries, also excellent, made even better by the vinegar concoction on the table. Beverage selection seems to be pretty wide. They have quite a few things on draft. We also got two apps for the table -- hot wings, and the tater tots. Wings are definitely hot but good. The tots were also good but came with a VERY garlicky sauce. Had to go try this spot. I was told they had fresh walleye fish for sale . So I called placed my order and found out I got the last walleye order they had. Jumped in the car to pick it up. They had it ready for me as a I arrived. Plenty had sanatizer gloves and masks from all the staff. I pay 14.99 look at my order and leave to go back home to eat. Sat down ready to eat. The smell and anticipation was driving me crazy. Yes, the fish was perfect. The batter perfect. Then I noticed it was only one piece of fish. I have to say my heart sank. For 14.99 I got one piece. But that one was Dynamite. The fries were fries. The slaw was a home recipe. I wasn't a fan but I added pepper and it brought it to life. I was statified because the taste of that fresh walleye from lake Erie was perfect. Would I take a friend from out of town . Yes of they have walleye on the menu. The first time I went here I felt that it was totally meh. In hindsight, it's likely because it was around when they first opened. I have visited Pat and Gracie's several times now and and I can say that I am solidly a fan. Since that inaugural visit, my wife and I bought a house that's not too far from Pat and Gracie's. P&G is now in our handful of places that we go for satisfying, well presented, quality meals. Salads here are massive and well conceived. The salads I have had featured a balance of sweet, savory, and complex flavors. Yet, were not so complex that the amount of ingredients was overwhelming. The staff is always pleasant and engaging. Like most of the places my wife and I frequent, we sit at the bar if there is space. Bonus insight: I've been told by staff that they do not have a freezer onsite. That things are prepared fresh and I can appreciate and get behind that! Beer pricing at P&G is pretty much on par with similar places (Over The Counter- which has a better happy hour) but cheaper than others by far (The Crest). read more

From the interior vibe to the food to the server... we shut the place down. We had the tator tots to start. they were larger than life and came with a great aioli sauce and were out of this world a dream. My friend had the mushroom burger and couldn't stop commenting on it during dinner. I had their new chicken and mozzarella sandwich, whoa. So good! We both had fries but i bet you could have subbed with something else. I should have gotten a side salad instead of the fries, those tots were huge!! The first time we came here, the male server we had was an ass, but the food was great, so it made up for it. Last night, my friends and I went back, and I wish we hadn't. The server was so unpleasant. She couldn't even pretend to be nice to us, and it made us uncomfortable. She was Inconsistent on checking on us, couldn't smile, couldn't do anything. It took her a long time to get our orders, and one of the orders came out missing bacon (on a salmon blt). My friend was more than halfway through her meal by the time we got to tell the server, who didn't respond at all, and dropped bacon off later on. The Icing on the cake was the tiniest side of Mayo that was dropped of for my friends chicken sandwich, and then he got a $1 charge added to his bill. Really? For Mayo? I had the cherry pop cocktail and it tasted like NyQuil. There are too many good places to eat with servers who don't make you feel like you are a total Inconvenience to them. My food was pretty good, but I don't feel the need to go back. Just feel bad that I brought a group of people out and no one enjoyed their experience. read more

We've got a 2 year old and 4 year old and dinners out are never calm or easy but it was crazy how fast and easy we got in and out of this place... Greg our server was super attentive and when we mentioned how we were "just gonna share a burger" they went ahead and cut it and put in separate plates and probably gave us more slaw than what would have been on one plate.... And the kids meals were sooo good. We always help our kids finish their meals and usually the kids meals are blah.. but their food was just as good as ours! After all of the great reviews of this place, I had high hopes for a tasty meal. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience others seemed to have enjoyed. I found both the service and the food to be mediocre on the day I visited. The menu is small, but burgers appear to be the thing they are known for. I ordered a soda. It was brought out completely flat (no bubbles). I ordered the bacon cheeseburger minus the bacon. The burger was brought out with bacon on it. I inquired about a gluten free bun option and subbing out tots for fries. Both requests were met with a (polite) "no." You can see where I am going with this. I could see it being a good place to sit at the bar and drink a beer, but I won't be returning for the food. read more
