Matt, our salesperson, was fantastic. He was personable, professional, transparent, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. The service team also deserves recognition. We had a due bill for a few items after the sale, and they did an outstanding job. The work was completed efficiently, and the car looks even better than when we purchased it. The sales experience itself was more mixed. We came in with a very clear objective: we had a firm budget and were focused solely on the out-the-door price. We communicated that from the beginning and were consistent throughout the process. The initial numbers presented were nearly $2,000 higher than our target, so naturally there was some negotiation. What surprised me was a comment from the sales manager that seemed to place blame on us for the price we were offering. Our negotiation was respectful and non-confrontational, and Matt handled everything professionally. The sales manager's response felt unnecessary, especially given how clearly we had communicated our goals. It came across as petty and out of touch with the tone of the conversation. Ironically, we ultimately agreed to a price that was about $350 higher than our original target. Despite being heavily involved in the negotiation, the sales manager never came over afterward to shake our hands, thank us for our business, or help close the experience on a positive note. For me, the car-buying experience is about more than the final number. It's about how customers are treated throughout the process. Matt understood that. The service team understood that. I was told twice that the dealership could not replicate the problem and that my truck was in great condition. Both times, I was asked to pick up the vehicle. During the second pickup, the issue occurred right in front of dealership personnel. The service manager came out, did not acknowledge me what so ever although I was standing next to the vehicle. Tried to start it a few times then walked away. My service rep, said they would be keeping the truck for further diagnosis. Even after that, I was later told they still couldn't find anything wrong. At that point, I asked for an appraisal on the vehicle. After that, coincidentally, they find out that after nearly 14 days in service that the fuel pump has failed What makes this particularly frustrating is that Toyota has a documented history of fuel pump issues in Tacomas. Certain 2017-2020 models were covered by a fuel pump recall, and Toyota also issued Customer Support Program 23TE01 for certain 2021 Tacomas. Despite being diagnosed with the same component failure, I was told my truck is not covered because the programs are "VIN" specific. I sent an email to the General Manager and the Service Manager to see about a good will gesture and if they can please assist me with the fuel pump issue considering there is a pattern and haven't heard back. The service experience leaves a lot to be desired. I made a reservation for my car's first service and even called ahead to check how long it might take. I was told that after 12, the wait decreases, so 1.5 hours tops. When I pulled up, my service tech wasn't working today, so there's the first clue. Second contact is with a fast-talking guy who informed me that they were really backed up, so he hoped I had some time, about 1:45 for turnaround. I'm already there... Setting expectations is the single most important aspect of customer service, and this place gets a low grade. Do better. Be honest with your customers. Set expectations correctly the FIRST time. Bonus: they didn't even change the oil. This was for them to basically look at my truck. "Inspect" my windshield wipers, my driver's side floor mat (I have Weather-Tech), check my fluids. Bought a new 4Runner there. A week later, I called and asked them if they could remove the dealer installed GPS tracker from my car because I don't want to be tracked. Someone from the Service Dept said VERY COLDLY " We can't uninstall it. Do you want to talk to Finance Dept?", for which I asked " I am not financing with Toyota or this dealership. What does it have to do with your Finance Dept?" He refused to answer my question and said coldly, "I'll transfer you to the Finance Dept." Then, without me agreeing or even letting me finish my sentence, he put me to the Finance Dept, which didn't answer their phone 4 times. Later on, I also had to call the Finance Dept to ask where my registration was because they blew past the legal 30 day deadline to file it. My suspicions were confirmed when I finally received the registration and saw a late fee penalty in the itemized charges. No one in Finance ever picked up the phone to explain why they failed to file on time; it just goes to voicemail every time. This is a huge red flag. Dealerships often delay these filings when they have internal cash flow issues or major back office disorganization. My car buying process was relatively okay, other than the typical salesman tactics (which were a lot, but expected, I guess. For example, the actual document's fee you pay is more than what is shown on the invoice you sign at the end. The form you sign says the doc fee is $225, which is right on the state mandate maximum amount. But you actually paid more than that on another copy of the invoice. The dealership add ons. etc. ) which I was able to see through it because I was prepared. But I feel like there definitely is something fishy going on with their GPS tracker (CarRX). Why is the Service Dept so defensive about a GPS tracker on a car I already bought? My lender doesn't require it, yet the dealership is acting like it's state secret. Why are they so desperate to keep a tracker on a car they no longer own? Or are they trying to keep tracking me and keep selling my data to make more profit off me? Emm, food for thought. I was going to give this dealership a 4 star. If you were sorry, y'all would address it versus a lame excuse of "we will internally take a look". It's clear as day, a Nissan with a CVT transmission requires a flush every 30,000 miles. I bought the vehicle last Saturday and it had 57,500 miles. Pat Lobb claims they service every used vehicle before they sell it. It's very obvious, Pat Lobb is a dishonest dealership because the transmission was NOT flushed and I can only wonder what other services are not addressed. My initial car-buying experience was okay, despite the usual sales tactics. But when I tried to skip added packages like ceramic coating, window tint, and handle protection, I was told I couldn't because of the 0% financing--though it made no sense. The package cost $2,000, even though I could've done it for a fraction elsewhere. I went along with it to avoid haggling. The ceramic coating process was a nightmare. It took two weeks just for approval, and the service department seemed to keep overlooking it. I was told my car was ready, only to find the coating hadn't been done. I ended up waiting several more hours while they finally completed it. They do offer a shuttle, but a $30 ride doesn't make up for being forced into a $2,000 package and wasting an entire day. Negative stars, horrible experience. Purchased a pre-owned vehicle from them in 04/20205 that they did not have the title to but did not disclose to us at the time of sale. Registration expired on 04/2026 that we could not renew because there was a hold on the title from them not completing the required information once they sold the vehicle. Had to call the DMV myself to get the hold released so that we could renew the registration. Paid off the truck 03/2026 and now can't get the title because everyone between the DMV, Tax Office, Dealership, and Wells Fargo is pointing fingers saying it's someone else's problem or didn't do their job. The next day, transient engine lights flickered. Concerned, I called the service department, only to be dismissively told to "ignore these messages" - apparently, "this was not unexpected for a new car." Less than 24 hours later with my kiddo in the passenger seat, this supposed reliable vehicle experienced a complete catastrophic failure. The brakes weakened, the hybrid battery died, and the engine malfunctioned. This wasn't a minor hiccup; this was a life-endangering situation. Fortunately, it happened on a quiet neighborhood street. After this breakdown, the car was towed to Toyota for repair. Unbelievably, I was informed that no issue could be identified, and I was even told it was my fault for "not starting the car properly." My calls and emails to both salespeople who helped with the purchase ... and the manager for guidance or reassurance ...were met with absolute silence. Not a single returned call or email. I picked up the car and the next day, during a test drive before my Monday commute, the vehicle suffered an identical catastrophic failure, mirroring the first. Where to begin. My wife and I were searching for a 2023 EV to beat the expiration of the $4000 tax credit. We looked at VW's Volvos, Teslas, and Pat Lobb Toyota had a Toyota bZ4x (I know, you've never heard of it either, but it's a solid car). We spent a week haggling with them on price, and finally I let them know on the final day to take advantage of the tax credit that we were either buying their car for $22,500 or driving to Austin to buy a VW ID.4 for the same price. They agreed. Then, after 3 hours of paperwork at the dealership they pull the switch-a-roo: they try to get their profit in the finance box. I have an 800+ credit score and they told me the best they could do was 8% on my loan. I called BS and got up to leave. Then, "Mo" said he could probably get me sub-6% if he got an exception from one of their lenders. After that BS, I felt like the dealership was dishonest for trying to screw me and I left. So, we have now lost the opportunity to get the $4000 EV credit that expires tonight and I guarantee you Pat Lobb will not sell that car unless they drastically discount it or send it to auction. Very bad business decision on their part to ruin a relationship for a car that they won't be able to sell now. Also, lesson learned on my end: I should have had back-up financing ready to go. This is my fourth Toyota and I love it. The sales experience was great and Hector was fantastic. The process was very fast and smooth and I was in and out in about 2.5 hours. Financing was fast and the terms were agreeable. The only issue I had was the car was not tinted and it should have been so I had to drive another 75 miles round trip back to the dealership to get it done and then I had to wait 2.5 hours for the work to be completed. You can tell her customer service is exceptional as she kept me informed and let me know what service needs are for the car. While I did not accept everything, you can tell she was focused on customer service. You notice the small details she does to make sure you are given superior customer service even if it is just a routine oil change. I will say the service department efficient service of changing oil is superb meaning I was out of there in 30 minutes. 2 stars for the front-end customer service in general, the speedy service, and the hospitality of the waiting area. Their prices are high, and their parts mark-up is anywhere from 40% to 80%, when the parts center 20 feet behind the reception desks sells them for less. What I didn't like about their work was that them being "part of the dealership" bearing Toyota's name, they do not consistently use OEM materials to perform the tasks. For instance, I had them do a transmission fluid flush. They used BG Products instead of Toyota WS. We can sit down and argue all day whether these 2 products are the same, but to me as a customer who came to a Toyota dealership paying a hefty premium to get peace of mind, it is very unsettling to find out that I am not getting OEM for everything. I also had a coolant flush done along with a radiator hose replacement. They charged me twice for coolant, once for the flush, and once for the hose, which was an extra $90. Another time, I had them service the front brakes. They did not even bother to check the caliper pins and replaced the pads. After 30K miles, the front pads were literally still unscathed, because the caliper pins were stuck like a rock. Meanwhile, the rear brake pads were all gone because they were the only functional rotor brakes on the car. Very scary. read more

Not bad, not great. We recently purchased a vehicle from here after searching for a replacement SUV for a while. We worked with Anthony, who was nice and knowledgeable about the cars. We made the decision to purchase a preowned vehicle with low mileage. We were happy with the purchase, but our experience with finance wasn't great. We were handed several papers to sign, one of which we were told we "had to choose" one of the options. We made a selection after being led to believe we needed to make a choice. Honestly, the process was a blur after being there for nearly 3.5 hours. We arrived at home and within the following days set up our account to begin making payments. We realized the amount financed was almost $8000 more than what we thought we had agreed to. We called the dealership and were informed that the person who reviewed the financials with us wasn't working that day but would call us back first thing the following day. The finance manager would not amend the situation as he felt the person who reviewed our finances with us would be better equipped. This resulted in what I can only describe as an infuriating back and forth of continuing to call and be told we'd be called back shortly to never receive a call back. We finally were told they could remove the extra warranties that were optional and have that $8000 applied back to the principal, but one of us would need to come in person to sign some paperwork. We live fairly far from McKinney, so this was inconvenient, but at this point it had been over a week of calling multiple times per day to never get a call back. Overall, I guess much can't be expected from a car dealership. They're there to sell you a car and get as much money from you as possible. I felt taken advantage of by the financial department as none of the warranties or gap insurance were necessary with the amount of money we put down on the car and insurance we currently have. That said, I don't think the experience would have been different elsewhere. They want a sale, that's it. I definitely didn't feel like anyone there truly cared about my experience, which was traumatic to say the least. I love Toyota and the car we purchased was a great deal, but I can't say I'd recommend this specific location to anyone. If they have a vehicle you want, just go into it with a very suspicious, scrutinizing mind. They did clean the vehicle for me before we left and we have had no problems with it thus far. read more

Usual sleazy car salesman tactics... Liars! The salesman himself was very friendly, helpful, and attentive but there were definitely things he said that seemed coached, scripted, and probably not exactly true but this is to be expected and we're not stupid so we could see through that kind of stuff. The thing that got us was the scheming and lying they did during financing. We are from about 2 hours away so we were adamant that everything be ready to go before we drove all the way there. We had already found our own financing with a much better interest rate then anything they could get. They had admitted that they couldn't get close to meeting it. We had everything ready to go on our end with our bank and we headed that way. We knew it had to be done before the bank closed at 5 and arrived 2 hours early. They basically drug everything out till the bank closed and then claimed that the bank wouldn't answer and since it was too late the only option was to finance through them. They orchestrated it all to try to force us into financing with them! At that point our only option was to drive home without the vehicle and drive back the next day. Another 4 hour round trip and another wasted day! They gambled that we'd just choose to go through them. We were livid! They were unwilling to do anything to help, to make it easier on us, or to make it right, like letting us go ahead and take the truck or delivering the truck the next day. The financing guy was very rude and management never would get back to us. It was ridiculous! This tells you everything you need to know about how they run their business and it definitely starts at the top! Also, after talking to our loan officer at our bank she said that she never received a call and that this is not uncommon. Apparently, this a tactic that shady dealerships use often. read more

Do yourself a favor, and do not buy from this dealership. I have had the worst haggling experience with these liars. They add on hidden fees and packages and when asked to remove them they start giving u a sob story of how they will make no money. They also try and manipulate you to buy they say things like "THIS PRICE IS THE LOWEST I CAN GO, IF YOU ASK FOR ANOTHER DOLLAR LOWER, I WILL PERSONALLY TELL YOU NO". Im not wasting my time further with these desperate idiots. read more
