Cash only Has a lot of premade Thai meals and also the mango sticky rice was pretty solid.

Pata Market is known for the mango sticky rice and I was excited to try it out! One thing that stood out to me is that they didn't seem like they added a lot of additional seasoning like extra salt and sugar. I'm not sure what it is they added on top of the rice, but I really like it as it gave a crunch to each bite! The one thing is that for this particular batch of mango that came with this sticky rice, it didn't feel as sweet

The mango sticky rice from pata market is phenomenal! I've been several times and every single time the quality and taste are outstanding!! During my last visit I tried something new, a taro coconut ice cream and it was very good as well! Looking forward to continuing trying new items!

I've been wanting to come here for awhile after this place blew up on Instagram so I was super excited to try their mango sticky rice. You can pay in either cash or Zelle and you order up in the back to get a ticket before you obtain your mango sticky rice. The dessert itself was absolutely delicious as the mango was super sweet which went really well with the coconut-flavored filled rice. I think this is one of the best iterations of the dish I've had in NYC as the coconut flavor was very evident throughout. Other than the stick rice, the grocery store also carries a lot of fresh food that you can bring home as well as Thai desserts. We tried a pandan cake and I thought it was pretty good although I wish the pandan flavor was even more evident. I will definitely be back to try more of their other foods especially their soups which are hiding in the back of the store!

Such an authentic experience compared to attending the viral "Michelin" location at Chelsea Market. I was lucky to have no line on a holiday and I enjoyed hearing the Thai music and seeing all the delicious food and snacks I could order. I grabbed a Thai iced tea, grilled salmon over rice and a pudding on top of mango sticky rice. It's cash only and the entire store was welcoming and kind. They have a specific system to follow with green tickets. I really don't want to lose all of these local mom and pop stores that make Queens special. Mango sticky rice was great I enjoy the moong dal topping for the crunch factor. Sticky rice had a nice coconut flavor. Mango was ripe and in season. Felt like got a tiny trip to Thailand.

Yes, there are a lot of items sold at Pata Market, and throughout the year I'd advise anyone to try them. However, spring means ripe mangoes, and that means there is no better place in the city for mango sticky rice. The service is fantastic. You pay at the counter in the back of the shop, get a ticket (one for each mango sticky rice that you buy) and exchange it in the front of the store. They crank these deserts out, so you're not going to wait long. The shop is clean and bright, but there aren't any tables, so you'll be doing what everyone else is doing: eating in your car, on the sidewalk, in the park down the block, or asking for a set with the rice cold so that you can heat it up later. You'll be happy regardless of your choice because the flavors, textures, cold/hot, and sweet/salty balance of this dish is incredible. Like I said, the other items are great, but in the spring and summer you (and half of the neighborhood) are really here for this. And you'll be back.

Thought I wrote a review already, not sure where it went. Used to go to Pata Market when it was twice the size and previously called Sugar Club (and maybe another business name / combo business before that). Before craigslist, the bulletin board at this market was THE resource for Thai folks. The market used to have café menu with desserts and drinks, alongside the grocery section at one point there were also kids toys in the corner and really liked the welcoming atmosphere. It's still welcoming and feels very family run even though the business is a quarter of the previous size. They have a good amount of dry goods, sauces, frozen sausages, snacks, some pharmacy products (menthol products where r u?), daily rotating, prepared foods, desserts, and even small cups of Thai tea or durian ice cream. - and YES the viral Mango Sticky Rice ($12) is viral for a reason. Just note that mangoes are in season April - May pay for it at the counter and grab a ticket for a pick up at the front where there's no less than two staff members chopping mangoes all day! Another staff number bringing out steamed sticky rice mix in coconut sauce mixture from the back. All the components are fresh and let the sweep ripeness of the mango shine - the Salted Coconut Sauce goes ONLY on the rice. NOT the mango says Thai friend. The market was really busy on a Friday evening in May - and all different types of people, multi-generational. Local & those influenced LOL. People were also ordering the from the small dessert/drink menu, the staff seemed a little bit overwhelmed. The Prepared Foods! High-quality, extremely varied mix of festival, meat, and vegetarian dishes. You'll find ground basil pork & rice, curry, noodle bowls, grilled lemongrass skewers and sticky rice, lettuce wraps, summer rolls. Items are around $15 or under. Every time I've gone, I see a lot come in and pick up a few packages. You can also get all the ingredients at this market to make those same dishes - but why not try those dishes first as a baseline. LOL The desserts! There's just as much variety in the refrigerator with the prepared desserts - many with coconut cream, tapioca flour, taro, pandan, banana, and yes - corn. I'm not familiar with a lot of the desserts, but I haven't been too disappointed with anything that I've picked up. Just know that tapioca flour and coconut are usually main ingredients. There might've been some tapioca cakes with salted coconut cream tops - which I wasn't a huge fan of the salt/sugar combination. The market is just 2 blocks from the R/Broadway Elmhurst station. Close to Elmhurst Hospital. You can grab a seat at the nearby park & enjoy your sticky rice. There's always been MTA grate construction in front of this market, there isn't much space to stand out front fyi.

We got the famous mango sticky rice ($12) - they only take cash or Zelle! Be warned that their rice is ultra sweet, even without the condensed milk sauce. I could only have a couple bites lol

Food 5/5 Value 5/5 Amazing Thai grocery store that also offers incredible grab and go Thai desserts and savory dishes! Mango Sticky Rice ($12): Simply amazing! The added crispy rice provided a perfect, unexpected crunch that paired rly well with the fresh mango and rich coconut cream Chicken Basil over Rice ($10): Another delicious dish. The chicken was flavorful, not dry at all, and packed a great, authentic Thai spice kick. Incredible quality and value

The mango sticky rice at Pata Market has been all over my feed and I finally tried it and yes, the hype is real! The mango was honestly one of the juiciest I've ever tasted, beautifully ripe and sweet. Paired with sticky rice drenched in their creamy coconut milk and topped with rice krispies for a little crunch, it's a simple combination that just works so well together.

My friend lives in the neighborhood and recommended this Thai grocery store. She really liked a pumpkin custard she got there, but also the Thai pancake dessert. They didn't have the pumpkin custard, but I did grab the Thai pancake dessert with pandan and egg yolks. It was soooooo good. I would definitely come back here to get that again and try other things because there's so many other yummy looking things to try. It is cash only so prepare accordingly.

Came here from Manhattan strictly for the mango sticky rice which exceeded my expectations. Well worth the trip and so delicious that we got 2 to take home. On a rainy Saturday there was no wait, you pay in cash at the back and get a ticket to pick up at the front. Servings are made fresh daily with the ripest mangoes and last for about a day. Definitely will be returning here every time I happen to be in the neighborhood for delicious eats.

    Sandy T.

Walked past this store and saw them making the mango sticky rice. It was $12 and the place prefers cash for payment. The mango was super fresh. The rice was a little dry/hard but that might have been my fault for not heating it up before eating it. One of the best mango sticky rice i have had in NY but also the most expensive.

They definitely didn't tell me that lunch specials were available before I ordered my soup. Other than that, everyone is pleasant. Space: they have two sides, so plenty of space, but nights and weekends can get pretty packed, so keep that in mind. Food: I ordered Tom Yum soup and a lunch drunken noodle with a Thai iced tea. I only had the soup there and took the entire lunch special to go. Just based off of the soup, I will be going back. It was delicious and PACKED to the MAX! Writing this now, I can still imagine. Drunken Noodles were also really tasty. I like mine spicy and it could have been made spicier, but that's not even a real complaint. Also- the one next to me had this dish which reminded me of pad see ew but in a gravy. Looked delicious!! I will be back for whatever she had. Overall: the entire block is like a little Thai street. There are lots of Thai food options and I finally made it to Ayada. Super happy with my meal and excited to go back with some people and enjoy.

I genuinely don't understand the hype around Zaab Zaab Elmhurst. We ordered the fried rice, drunken…read morenoodles, pad kra pao, and the ribeye steak. The steak was the only dish that showed any sign of life. Everything else tasted as if it had been rinsed with water before being served--completely stripped of seasoning, aroma, and any trace of authentic Thai flavor. It's astonishing that a restaurant with such a strong reputation could produce food that's less flavorful than the faux Thai takeout spots tucked inside Chinese restaurants off the Ohio Turnpike. That's not an exaggeration. What's even more baffling is the location. In the heart of Queens, surrounded by Thai restaurants serving bold, vibrant, unapologetically flavorful food, Zaab Zaab somehow manages to be a culinary desert. The fried rice was bland, the drunken noodles were lifeless, and the pad kra pao lacked the punch, basil, heat, and savoriness that define the dish. It honestly felt as though the menu had been engineered for diners who think black pepper is adventurous. Instead of authentic Thai flavors, everything seemed toned down to the point of being unrecognizable. For a restaurant with this reputation, the meal was a massive letdown. There are countless nearby Thai restaurants that deliver the bold, aromatic flavors Thailand is known for. Save your money and your appetite for one of them.

Surf & turf skewers: My least favorite dish of the night. I found most of the skewers a bit dry. Larb beef & tripe: the Larb was super flavorful and delicious. Salt encrusted tilapia: I wish there was a bigger vermicelli noodle portion on the side but I really liked the tilapia. It was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone and the sauce complemented it perfectly. Don't forget to remove the salt crust!

Like a deconstructed and dry version of a filipino soup I love called Chicken Tinola, with similar ingredients too. The set came with soup - was mild and good. I added a bit of the ginger-scallion condiment and liked that too. I think it's the first time I tried Thai iced green tea - slightly sweet for me but lighter bec with half and half. Couldn't give this place a 5 stars though because of the heat. We went there when it was at least 90 degrees, and didn't know it wasn't air-conditioned. There was only 1 oscillating fan which was only ok when it was pointed at our direction. Once it turned, I had to keep fanning myself. The iced drink was refreshing but wasn't enough. We would have left if only we weren't set on trying their Hainan chicken. Will surely return, on a not so hot day. Service was great. Food came out quickly. It must've felt hotter for the staff being in the kitchen but they still had smiles. Nearest train station is Elmhurst Ave stop of M, R and some bus lines along Broadway, but not too far from Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Hts station. Has 4 small tables, and counter seating for 3.
