Very polite and professional guy, and friendly. His bid was straighforward, and actually was exactly the same as a contractor that the plumber we used recommended. After tossing the pros and cons betw. the 2 estimates, we decided to go with Ansel based on the reviews and that I like he is a no-nonsense and to the point kinda of contractor for the job. On the scheduled day, James called at 10am to let me know Ansel and his guys are on their way. Barely 10mins later, Ansel showed up with Roy and their helper, Justin. They got to work right away. Quick and efficient. Four hours later, they were done. Any debris was packed and haul-away in their truck. Paid him and off they go to their next job. Highly recommend.

The only thing he hasn't been able to help us with and offered great referrals or advised other folks for are: -installing garage door -working with glass (ex. Shower door) -electrical -roof The estimate: -give him a item by item of what you're looking for -he responds back with his estimate (very reasonable prices!) -open to conversation about what should be done, his recommendations of advice (of course he goes with what you say but he does give great advice based on his expertise) The work: -he shows up on time and very communicative every step of the process and work (making sure it's ok with you before) -very hard work and committed to your project no matter how many he may have (he'll stay longer, work on weekends, whatever it takes to help get the work done). I've found him working on days he says he was going to try to take a break -the only bump in the road here is the timeline it took him to finish some of our work (the initial big project was longer than we expected) but again he was communicative about why and some of it was also on our end in the type of work we chose but also in the amount of effort it took to finish the remodeling of the bathroom The payment: -can pay in installations, just talk with him about it before you all begin the project -he also offers to buy materials so you don't have to go and you can reimburse him for it later or you can go buy or get the materials delivered yourself (really up to you) We continue to use him time and time again for our unit and our tenant's unit, and it's always a pleasure to work with him. He's someone who is not just responsible, responsive and does good work, but is someone who doesn't seem like they're just out to make a profit or money and recommends things that save both money and time.

They also meticulously put in new flooring in the kitchen and family room and painted part of our living area.
