Wow, what a store. If you love Indian food, love to cook and are intrigued about other cuisine and cultures you simply MUST come here for a visit. I was in heaven.

This is the Indian store of all Indian stores down in South Florida. I can't believe it took me this long to visit. I love, love, love Indian food. I love it to the point that I have learned to make chicken tikka masala, even if I generally hate cooking. Usually when I bother cooking or when I try to find a product of this fine culture, I shop around and find it. It typically takes several stores, but Patel Brothers is a one-stop shop. I went there with my friend, Sean M., and I think I have fallen in love. The employees are nice and the variety of goods is insurmountable. Did I mention that they sell hot food, too? I got us some samosas and even without tamarind sauce (because silly me forgot to buy some), these were delish. I definitely have to go back. Thanks to Sean M. for taking me.

    Amazing variety!

An extensive selection at this Indian market makes this one of the best and largest in the area. Although the fresh produce section is far more limited than the massive FoodTown world market, the spices, flour, rice, and frozen goods offer incredible variety. They did have a nice variety of fruit, peppers, even a few massive jackfruit. The market is neat and organized... very tall shelves! The staff is helpful and friendly. Prices were well in line with other markets. I found some varieties of tea that have been difficult to locate lately at other markets, including my favorite Wag Bakri Masala Chai. We also were looking today for a couple varieties of cardamom, and were happy to see both were available. For some reason cardamom at Publix has skyrocketed in price... here it is quite reasonable.

My number one place to go for vegetables and desi spices/sauces. There are certain desi food items you might just find here. For example they have pickled veggies/fruits in containers, which are already mixed with seasoning. Whenever I have been here, they are constantly busy. It's sometimes tough navigating the cart around the store when it's super busy. However, the employees can be found restocking merchandise and are happy to direct you where the item is which you are looking for. They have some deals on major holidays or certain times in the year. For example right before Ramadan last year, they had certain food items on promotional prices. Check out area is usually busy but they have 2-3 registers constantly open. They have unique desi candies in this area too. I like to purchase the mango and guava chewable candies. Also if they are selling fresh samosas, get a couple, prefect snack to eat while heading out.

Love this place, I can literally find anything that I want that is Indian. They imported frozen foods, hard to find spices, Indian vegetables & fruits, sweets, and spiritual supplies. Like with all ethnic stores you're bound to find something expired, or some produce offending your eyes lol. This place is always packed, and about 99% of the shoppers are ethnic Indians. Every time I pass by I get some frozen samosas, black seeds, and some nan bread, I really need to diversify my shopping list. I haven't even tried their sweets, and I'm certain I've not had Indian sweets since I was in India years ago. They also sell unbelievably delicious cooked samosas in the checkout lines for $1 each, I buy quite a few every time I pop in.

    Beautiful veggies.

This is a really cool place, if you're looking for authentic Indian ingredients. It's well stocked and clean. There were tons of things that I've never seen in the fresh produce section. The store was kinda crowded and we were in somewhat of a hurry, so I didn't get to see everything. There were aisles of unique snacks, sweets and staples along with a big frozen section of all kinds of things you can take home and heat, if you're in a hurry. They could do two things to improve. One would be to put in a hot bar of dishes that you can take home. I actually thought there was one, which is why we went. The other thing would be to put English titles on the items. There were so many interesting things, but I had no idea how to cook them, as I'd never heard of them. So, if you're looking for everything you need for your next Indian meal, this is the place to go. Happy shopping and tell them Yelp sent you! :)

Love the store for the convenience it provides. But it is certainly missing courteous and friendly employees.

They have a lot of interesting brands of meats, pasta, sauce and more. The service at the register was great. The lady really took care bagging my groceries. Did I mention they have some tasty gelato from Italy? They have food and wine events sometimes. I went to one of those long ago at tjis location. Those are worth the money you spend. I am going to make an effort to stop here when I am nearby.

But the real star here is the bakery -- it's absolutely out of this world. My personal favorite is the chocolate rum ball -- rich, moist, and perfectly balanced. The mini chocolate cannoli are incredible, with creamy filling and a crisp shell. The cannoli cookie is also delicious and unique. We took some pastries home, and even after being left overnight in the refrigerator, they were still fresh and tasted amazing the next day. We heard they also have another location in Pembroke Pines, which we're excited to try next. If it's anything like the Sunrise store, we know it'll be fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Italian pastries and market goodies!

Everything is kept in neat order. Prices are pretty reasonable. And the fact that it also has some mini takeout/restaurants on site is a huge place. We could finish the shopping while waiting for the order to get ready. The place has a huge parking lot. The store is in progressive village. The traffic here is a lot lighter. They have a fish market where we can get fresh fish cleaned and cut in a way you like. The only minor complaint was that nobody was there to assist when I went. Maybe they were under staffed. This place is a must if you are Asian and need a big bag of rice. Count me as a regular customer here.

Now I don't have to traipse 30-40 minutes to Davie/Pembroke Pines/sunrise/Miramar just to get my Asian groceries. While this Asian supermarket is on the smallish side, it does pack a whole lot of goodies in. It caters more towards the Korean cuisine but they do have many Chinese & Southeast Asian products that I can pick up in a pinch. I will say their aisles are very narrow, only allowing for enough space for one way traffic flow. But their shelves are nearly organized compared to Mango Tree supermarket in Davie. Their produce section is small but they really pack a whole lot of unique produce that are hard to source elsewhere. For example they have Lion's mane mushrooms that I have not seen anywhere else. Their produce is fresh and reasonably priced. They have great meat section and all the kimchi and Korean banchan ingredients with some already prepped items available for purchase. The fresh fish section is very limited and nothing to write home about so will skip. But there are lots of frozen food items drinks, desserts, bags of rice and a few fast food restaurant stalls at the mouth of the entrance. Now when I'm cooking and find I need coconut milk or bean sprouts or crab sticks, I can run over to Kimchi mart in a pinch.
