I have never seen cooked clams at a market before but it was fun trying something new. I would get them again in the future. They were really affordable. Since they were already cooked, that meant no mess in the kitchen for me. I bought a huge Fugi apple before leaving and it was the size of two regular apples. It was super crispy and sweet. There is a small produce section and an adequate selection of meats. Overall, the items throughout the store are at a very low price, but don't expect to find everything you need here. Save a Lot carries a few of the national name brand products, but they mostly carry their own food brands. When I shop here I usually purchase butter, eggs, and frozen items. You have to pack your own groceries, so don't forget to bring lots of tote bags. Sometimes Save a Lot provides empty boxes for the customers to pack their groceries in, but once the supply is done, it's done. You have the option to purchase Save a Lot's paper bags for 5 cents, regular plastic bags for 3 cents, or large plastic bags for 10 cents.
