Nice dinner the other night at Patellie's. We had pizza by the slice which was a nice option to be able to try a couple of their specialty pizzas and since they were already cooked, it was very fast. The best collection of salami, peppers, cheese, etc. Every single time I have it, and I have had it a lot, it is crisp and tasty. Maybe the best thing about the salad is the homemade dressing. I get the ranch, but the blue cheese is delicious as well. The salad is definitely large enough to share. Now, the pizza. Cheese is so good. Not all pizza cheese is equal. This is exceptional. Owners of Local opened a pizzeria featuring piping fresh pizza made with fresh ingredients. It's small for sit down as there's just one table and counter seating at the window. The pepperoni was a huge hit with our family--the kids all commented on its meaty, spicy flavor. Our pickiest pizza eater consumed the plain cheese with uncommon gusto. Crust was excellent and loved the 4 cheese topping and sausage on the Sausage slice. They have a limited selection of pies available by the slice, but we were pleased with our selections.
