When the Rolling Hills location of Pathology, Inc. was closed at 8:30 am this morning when the hours listed on the door said it should be open, I headed down to the Torrance location. I wasn't pleased: I hadn't eaten and I don't like blood tests. However, my trip was saved by the friendliness of the staff there (a shout out to Sumiye!) and by not having to wait. I can't speak to how well the blood is being analyzed or how the billing will go, but thus far I'm really happy with the Torrance location. I wish I could give one star to the Rolling Hills location, but they don't have a Yelp listing. Perhaps that's lucky for them. First off, I hate giving bad reviews on yelp. But I feel cheated, and I don't feel like I have any power, save for giving them a poor review, and warning other people. Also, do they have two yelp accounts? I maybe wrong, but in any case, I'm posting this on both pages. Here's the website I will be reviewing: http://www.pathologyinc.com/ It's for Pathology, Inc. I've only dealt with them online, and they have some bugs in their online payment system. Not to mention, there's no efficient way for them to notify you if your payment went through. They just send you an email notice that you "submitted" your payment, but they never let you know if has been officially paid. For one of my bills, I submitted online (got a "payment submission receipt."), and then a "final notice!" bill arrived in my mailbox, saying I haven't paid this bill. I submitted again (another "submission receipt"). And then a debt collectors notice showed up in my mailbox with a debt collector's fee tacked on to the bill (apparently still not officially paid). I thought, maybe my cc declined the payment, for some reason, but after some research I find out that that's not the case. I'm guessing it has something to do with their online payment system. And regardless, they need to email you to let you know if a payment worked or not - especially with a system that is buggy. read more

Wow as much as I complained in the Yelp tips that the online and customer service hours were wrong my experience today changed my mind forever. I was here (still here) for four hours for a gestational diabetes glucose tolerance test. They drew my blood as soon as they opened the door at 8am. After that they didn't drop a beat to get me the ever so fun and delicious glucose drink. The faster you get it down the sooner your next blood draw can be. I was then taken to a private room with a super comfy lounge chair and a tv. Although the tv was super old and the chair had seen better days it was quite nice to be able to relax while I waited for three more blood draws. The level of service was very much appreciated in a time of stressful testing. I was also able to sign a waiver which allowed me to go for a walk around the building. This was very nice indeed after all the sitting. read more

READ THIS- I got a collection letter from ICQ recovery for $27.00. I haven't had any lab work done as of late, but from reading the other reviews it is probably something I did years ago. I don't mind paying it if it's valid. HOWEVER, the only docs I might have had work done would be my gyno or GP. I am going to call them first to verify if they use this lab. If this debt is valid I am going to pay the collection agency and not the lab directly for two reasons. 1. They won't receive the full amount because the collection agency gets a portion of it. AND, I don't want them to get the full amount simply because their idiotic accounting department creates an inconvenience as the patient now has to go back in time to figure out what it's for and also have their credit affected! 2. If you pay the lab directly I guarantee it won't be posted correctly and you'll end up in another dispute to prove to the collection agency that it's paid. Basing this on the fact that the balance was never brought to my attention directly. I am also going to report them to the FDCPA. Fair debt collection practices. read more

Not sure which of their accounts is correct so I'm going to write this once again. Be warned. ZERO STARS!!! My doctor sent my cytology labs to this company. They never sent me a bill, and proceeded to forward my claim of $80 (really you're sending 80 bucks to collections?!) to a collection agency within a month of my appointment. I have contacted them numerous times, provided my insurance information, and I have been told the issue has been resolved. Now, I have received a third delinquency letter (Mind you this is also for a preventive women's health appointment aka free under Obama Care). I attempted to fax them this letter (to serve them in writing), but surprise their fax is broken. URGENT ATTN: BILLING DEPARTMENT - IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUIRED To whom it may concern: I have spoken to your company twice in regards to service I received from Dr. --- on --- that was performed by your company. However, please allow me to reiterate my sentiments in writing. First note that this "service" was my regular women's health visit, and consequentially, the cytology labs your company performed should be covered under preventative care, and should therefore be free of charge. However, Pathology Inc. failed to bill my insurance for this proposed fee (which would result in my need to pay), AND they also made zero attempt to contact me before reporting my, so called, delinquency to a credit agency. Upon my receipt of a letter from I.C.Q. Search and Recovery I immediately contacted Pathology Inc., and I also contacted Isabel Rodriguez at I.C.Q. I informed both parties of my insurance and ask them to bill appropriately. I was told by both companies that this issue would be resolved, and my insurance would be contacted. However, this entire scenario played out a second time. Now, a third time I am seeking to make myself a little clearer. My insurance information is attached. I request that you resolve this issue immediately, and send me a confirmation letter within one week to the address below. I have read numerous of negative reviews of your company in regards to similar issues-- failure to issue bills to patients in a timely manner, incorrect reporting of delinquency to credit collectors, and inability to promptly address/or even respond to patient concerns relating to these matters. As such, if this is not handled immediately, I will be contacting the Department of Consumer Affairs to report your company's negligence. --Let's see if they answer... read more

I.C.Q. Search and Recovery is on YELP. WCCL/PathologyInc. failed to submit insurance claim w/in year of service. Collections contacted me 3 yrs after sevice. I.C.Q. Search and Recovery refused to speak w/ med. insurance. The letter addressed a charge for services in 2015 for the amount of $$$$. I found the bill I received. I had called the billing department with my medical insurance information in 2015 which PathologyInc/WCCL already had since they had submitted claims for other services in 2015. I never received another bill. after I called PathologhyInc/WCCL According to my then insurance, a claim was not submitted for the date in question. My insurance informed me if PathologyInc/WCCL did not submit within a year, they will not pay. My insurance requested that PathologyInc/WCCL resubmit with proof of timely filing; or have the PathologyInc/WCCL call my insurance. I called the collection agency I.C.Q., they refused to relay the information to PathologyInc/WCCL since the claim was not submitted within a year of service. I.C.Q. requested I submit the claim or pay the bill since it was my fault PathologyInc/WCCL did not submit the claim. I informed them I called PathologyInc/WCCL billing with my insurance information on date in 2015. I wrote the date and what information I gave them. I failed to write down the name of the operator. The I.C.Q. (Amber) said that I could be making up the information - without the name they cannot look at their 2015 logs to verify. Amber stated she will give me an extension of 60 days so GEHA could process the claim I SUBMIT. I did not bother to ask them to call GEHA at this point. The I.C.Q. (Amber) stated PathologyInc/WCCL sent 3 statements in all within 4 weeks of the service; the last one being my final notice which was received 25 days after service. I only received the last one and called the billing department with insurance info. Since I did not hear from them, I thought they were paid. My insurance was upset at how PathologyInc/WCCL and I.C.Q. are handling this issue. So I have and am filing complaints against Laboratory Corporation of America and I.C.Q. with the Better Business Bureau. bbb.org/consumer-complai... I am also filing with the Office of the Attorney General - fill out the Consumer Complaint Against A Business/Corporation Form against both Laboratory Corporation of America and I.C.Q. oag.ca.gov/sites/all/fil... Generally when my doctor orders a blood panel I have to go through the cattle call that is Lab Corp. However, I switched insurance and now I get to use Pathology. I showed up there on a Saturday morning and I was the only one there! How awesome is that?! In and out of there in about 10 minutes and on my way to Norm's for a nice hearty breakfast! read more

They don't send you a bill , suddenly you got a collection letter from a Collection agency which is located in Victorville , I told my doctor If he use them again I will change doctor . Somehow this company got a hold of my credit card and charged me over $200 and I have been trying to get a hold of someone for months to get a copy of the bill and receipt signature and they never pick up their phones. Last time I tried to go to the office and no one was there. Looks like I may have to open up a Better Business Bureau complaint. read more

This lab is a JOKE! First of all their customer service center does not try to help patients at all. Seems like they don't have a file with patients information because every single time I had an exam done during my pregnancy, they billed me and I had to contact them and give them my sponsor's ssn #. My last bill, which was from an exam done by my doctor, was supposed to be covered by my insurance but because the lab sent them the wrong information, the insurance couldn't process the payment. After contacting the lab and the insurance several times, I could never got them to communicate between each other and I had a collectors letter sent to me. Had to pay for a bill that was supposed to be covered by the insurance. GO TO ANOTHER LAB IF YOU CAN. Really bad service, really bad customer service and really bad billing process! read more

I dont understand the low ratings here. Let me tell you why. My husband and I were both running late coz we both just got off from work. I called the ofc and spoke with Nayeli and she was really nice and said, if im still here i can take you in. When we got to the ofc, Nayeli called her boss and asked if she can take us coz its gonna be overtime for her. Her boss said yes and I was so thankful for nayeli's willingness to help. Worst Services ever .. First they don't send the bill to the correct address. Second they do not send the bills to the Insurance company saying that they do not have details of your insurance even if they have taken the copy of your insurance card and you end up receiving a notice from their debt collector to make the payment when you didn't even had the bills. Third when you do all the processes with your insurer and the insurer tells you the revised amount as per their contract with these guys, they do not agree to it and again bill you the original amount. Fourth their online payment system is of no use. You won't be able to login. Pathetic attitude as well when you call them. Latly, I don't think they care about Yelp reviews, I see the same problem persisting from 2013 and its 2016 alreday with no improvement. read more

It doesn't matter anymore because they were acquired by Labcorp, but my physician used Pathology for labs back in February and I never got the bill. Pathology sent my bills to an old address and obviously didn't check the address with my physician's office when the bills went unpaid. I was sent to collections (ICQ Search and Recovery) like the previous poster. The Pathology phone numbers no longer work, but you can call Labcorp billing at 800-845-6167. read more

these people are idiots and cannot even charge a credit card correctly. I sent in a payment via mail with credit card information to pay a balance. they made a mistake on the information I provided when billing the card which caused the charge to be denied. they then sent the bill to a bill collector because of their mistake. these people are dirtbags. contact the bbb and the state attorney general. read more
