Server was very polite. Service was slower but nothing extreme. Food was overall quite good only notes would be Alfredo had quite a bit of pepper on it. Restaurant was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Overall very good experience.

Walnut and Gorgonzola gnocchi with roasted tomato. Foodgasm territory here!

Tapa Tuesday! Great pastas and fish. No bread with the mussels? Bar staff is funny and fast and will top up your mug on cue! I had 5 tapas and loved each one. I'll have to head back to try some new ones. Maybe my new Tuesday spot? 3 delicious tapas for $12 or so. That's cheap!

Pasta to order. A part of their pasta buffet.

We were in search of a nice restaurant for a birthday celebration between Buffalo and Toronto. Well we found this gem! We happened to be there on their Wed. pasta bar night. Spectacular! Made to order pasta. Pick your ingredients, sauce and noodle..... the cold bar was just as good with the salads options, pizza options and a hot buffet with many options. They even had a small bruschetta station. You could still order off of the menu but why when the cost was relatively the same either way. Now we know why we couldn't get our original reservation time we wanted.

    Delicious tortellini ai funghi!!

Not worth the money at all! Rather, go to Johnny Rocco's an exit off the highway! Amazing food at roccos, this just wasn't authentic at all.

The Korean fried chicken? A rhapsody. We ordered another dish with eggplant and crispy rice sticking to the stone bowl. Everyone in my party of four had a drink that felt like it was made for us. We each had different dietary restrictions and the kitchen was very mindful of them. (They give an allergen disclaimer on the menu, and they won't rework a whole dish for you, but they are genuinely very nice about avoiding your allergy.) I would tell anyone looking to visit Niagara Falls that they should stay in St. Catharines instead so they can eat here. Pharmacii is better than all the places in New York and LA that think they're doing the same thing. This is a place worth visiting, again and again, from any distance.

The concept is unique, fun and creative. I love their message that Asian food isn't one thing and shouldn't be considered cheap. It isn't pretentious and the food was to die for. I think it's impossible to not have a good meal here. Our kind server helped us narrow down our choices and we loved every dish. We had clarified viet coffee and zing-get cocktails, both strong and delicious. For food we had charred bok choy, Tsukune bao slider, kan-poong, and the pork belly. The flavors were perfect, everything was well portioned and we left full. We can't wait to come back and try more next time. The chef here is very talented and has a unique culinary point of view.

We were there for Sun dinner as a big group of 16 as a gathering of high school classmates. We were seated at one long table. There was a large variety of food options. The only bad dish was the Vegan Pizza which looked horrible! They were kind enough to listen to the customer and remake it to her specifications. Entree prices ranged $14 to $23 to $29. The restaurant is well-decorated . They seem to like European family motorcycles. The manager was very friendly, helpful, and cooperative.

I've been meaning to try Tangerine Tortoise for a while and I live near it so we walked in and did a quick 20-minute stroll around the block while they made our pizzas. What stopped me from trying it in the past was the abundance of great pizza chains in St. Catharines. St. Catharines has amazing food places with unique appeal if you ever want to try them. I actually frequent Score Pizza, Twice the Deal Pizza, and Fat Cat when I'm craving a certain type of pizza depending on the situation. I have had a lot of great pizza around the Niagara region from Fat Cat's to Di's and plenty of others. They all have their own appeal but there is just something about the taste the menu and the overall vibe here that puts The Tangerine Tortoise at the top for me. We ordered the spicy pineapple and the prosciutto with pistachio nuts and both were amazing. My favorite was the spicy pineapple because of the hot honey glaze on top. It added the perfect kick and sweetness. What's cool about Tangerine Tortoise is how it's inside an old repair shop and it's hard to tell it's a restaurant unless you know. It's also in the middle of a neighborhood which I think cities should allow more residential restaurant mix because it adds to the community appeal. As a St. Catharines local I absolutely love it and my sister coming in from the GTA loved it just as much.
