I ordered an outdoor cedar chest from Patio.com. I opened the box with a box cutter thinking the chest was made of cedar and steel. I did not realize, as it is not in the description online, that the floor of the chest was plastic mesh. I cut the mesh with the box cutter. There was no indication on the outside of the box to not use a knife or box cutter. I reached out to the company and they blamed me and said they would send a replacement for $600+. They did not take accountability for not have a better plan for packaging and providing information for opening the box. I understand how I opened the box was not ideal, but I am not sure how I was supposed to know. The cost of replacement seemed ridiculous for plastic mesh. I will no longer order from them. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ON SALE as you will get damaged or not complete items. I bought a firepit last year (high end) and no original manual was given. I was assured it worked, so I made the mistake of not testing it as it was September. BY the time I tried using it, it seems pieces were missing like ignition and safety. I reached out to the store and even asked for a copy of the warranty and was told Patio.com is a clearance house so I had to know none of that would be provided. I asked for help to fix and started getting wishy washy answers from liz. I asked to send someone over before the end of June and she could not confirm. NEVER EVER again will I buy anything there. $1500-2000 FLUSHED down the toilet. It's a joke. I had been a customer of Patio.com in CT and they were AMAZING. NEVER an issue. This was a joke from the start and I wish I I had known better. DISAPPOINTED beyond belief. Would love for her or Patio.com to make it right, but I doubt she will as so far, excuses and delays. 4/24/21 For a long time I thought this place went out of business. I did not see chairs or furniture placed outside. This was not just because of the Coronavirus Outbreak. My mom and dad use to come shopping around this store when I was younger. Today I saw this place was open and decided to check out the store. The outside furniture looks nice, but not really calling my name. I also have a lot of mosquitoes in my back yard so I don't really use the back yard. More likely because I don't care for the backyard which is very small and not peaceful to me. Still I did like the table tennis, foosball and the air hockey machine. I could picture this in my house, but I tend to keep to myself. I am not a social person now adays, and Yelp people aren't very social on Yelp from what I have seen. I am digressing again. I am glad this business is open, because i have seen to many place that have closed their doors. The lady I spoke to was polite and helpful. She did stand 6 feet away during these Coronavirus times. I thanked her, but did not need assistance this time around. I might check this place out again with someone else. We will decide then. read more

Nice top shelf furniture with low tier service. Extremely poor and inattentive service. Walked in saw two employees talking -- they looked over their glasses at me... asked if they sold a certain product, one of them said yes and then the continued to talk to each other for the next 10 minutes. I left and spent my money elsewhere. read more

I purchased a patio table and chairs on Sunday , called the store on Monday morning asking to cancel my order due to poor fit in my space and expense schedule for the furniture ... and was told they only issue store credit, no refunds ... No where in the store did I see a sign explaining no refund, nor did the sales clerk Liz explain to me that I could not refund the item.. I signed what I thought was a sales and delivery agreement only to be told today the fine print said no refund. And I was legally bound to the purchase . Who reads the smallest of print standing in a check out line? The sales person should inform customers there is no refund due to the extreme price of their products.. so my advice do not shop there ... or if you do be an uninformed shopper .. I now have a 4k patio set that doesn't work with my space ... never would I recommend Patio.com... read more

I am on a condo board, and we ordered replacement parts for our terrace deck furniture. Everyone was wondering where the parts were, as they had been ordered by the previous board before Covid. Finally, a year or so after we had ordered the parts, we found out that they were at Patio.com in Tysons. Soon afterwards, they sent a crew to refurbish the furniture. While they did their work in the hot sun, one of the residents made them some juice. The chairs look great now. However, the crew left behind a large and heavy box filled with the old parts across the terrace, partially hidden behind a large planter. Other vendors take their work product with them, or at least take it down to the garbage area. The box will require a hand truck to move, as, I assume, it did when they brought it up to the terrace, so to leave it behind for us to remove was a low blow. Also very low class is the trash that was left on the terrace. Some residents have wondered why the furniture broke down so soon, saying it was not very old, though I don't know how old it was. I don't know what it cost, so I won't comment further on that. But the lack of class and poor customer service makes me not want to use this company again. I had intended to complain, and have them come back to finish the job or provide a discount, as a gesture, but then I read their yelp reviews, and on their basis, I just believe that this is the way these people do business, and so I didn't bother. read more

Patio.com owes me over 5,000 dollars in damage after hitting my car on June 15th 2020. The drivers did a hit and run but my neighbor took a picture. It is sad that a company that is so big does not take care of the damage they did. They admitted fault via email but not have not taken care of it. We have called many time and the owner is trying to dodge us. Do not order from this place it is not family oriented or honest people. read more

Patio.com has the rudest customer service that I have ever experienced. Apparently, they don't welcome Asians; and they hate your guts if you ever look at your smartphone. I live not too far away from this place, and I drive past this location almost every week. I was curious about the place since my family wanted to get some patio furniture for the summer. My wife and I visited the shop on Leesburg Pike on Saturday 6/24/2017 at about 5 PM. There were only a few customers there, and there was only one salesman who was about 50 or 60 years old. We checked out their stock of patio tables and chair, but did not quite find what we had in mind. My pregnant wife was hungry and wanted to find a place to eat, so we sat down on their patio chairs and searched on Yelp for good restaurants nearby. While we were reading Yelp on the phone, I heard the salesman, who was standing perhaps 20 feet away, remarked to another customer something like "these Asian people they come in and don't buy anything. They just search online for a cheaper price." I was so astonished and furious that we walked out the door immediately. What about Asians? I could not believe what I just heard. I was not looking for competitor's price online, but so what even if I was? If you are so hostile to the idea of online shopping, why name yourself "patio.com"? I was using my own data plan, why should this be any of your business? Sitting in the car, I was furious and really wanted to get back inside and confront the salesman. But my wife she was afraid and begged me not to make a scene. She really tried to calm me down and even blamed herself for staying in their store for so long and not purchasing anything. I felt so angry and yet powerless. So we just left. But I will never buy anything from patio.com, and make sure that our friends know that this is how they treat their customers. So do not come to this place, unless you want to deal with people who are rude to you and your family, who want your money but don't even respect you as a customer. I found Patio.com by accident on my phone. I was searching for a patio umbrella and was completely confused by all of the options and reviews online. Also, due to covid, I didn't want to have to go into the store to talk to a sales person. Somehow I connected w Liz on the phone. She asked me for a photo of our yard/patio. We stopped by the patio.com store in Tysons Corner to browse for a dining table for our screened porch. Liz did a terrific job answering our questions, finding options for us that she could order but weren't in the shop, and putting together competitive pricing. I recommend that if you go to the store, talk with Liz -- she is very helpful, not at all "pushy," and can provide you helpful advice and many alternatives beyond the in-store selection. We ended up purchasing a dining table that they had an example of in their back storage area, so we were able to test out how the table expanded and see how sturdy it was. Since many of their floor samples sit outside, you see a weathered version of the product. But unless you are purchasing a floor sample (which they sell at discounted price), you will get a new version shipped to your home, and you can avoid weathering with some simple annual treatment. It was very helpful to see and test out the various seating options, allowing us to be confident that our selection was comfortable and well-made. Overall, a great experience. read more

Bought a table cover at this store that had to be ordered from California. I asked if I could pay extra for expedited delivery to my house. (To me, that's usually 3-5 business days, at the most 4-6.) Manager said yes you can, so I did. Nine days later, nothing, not even an email saying "your order has shipped." Called store to ask about it and clerk said she would check, and call me back. She never did. So called again on day 10 and clerk said package may have been delivered to store by mistake, please call manager tomorrow. I said, have manager call me, but manager never did. So I called a third time on day 11 and spoke to manager who said she would check into it and call me back by noon. She never called. So I drove to store at later in the day, and said "you said you would call me by noon." She shrugged, and said package had been found and that it was out for delivery to my house. I said, great, now refund me the $20 bucks I expressly paid to get expedited delivery to my house. They said no, store credit only. I said, wait a minute, I paid for a specific service I did not get, you should give me a refund. She said mis-delivery was a mistake by the shipper in California. I asked why I should have to bear that burden and deserved a refund. Still no dice. It's pretty clear this outfit is not interested in repeat business. read more
