It's super clean and the workers are so kind. It supports trump which makes it even better. The food tastes amazing and the quality is great! Grew up on this Pizza, and one of my favorites. Even though since I've moved from Saint James, I'll still drive 15-20min to pick up a pie from time to time. I'll typically order a half regular half fried eggplant. Patio has the BEST fried eggplant pizza period. Everything else is good too, pasta, hero's etc, and definitely the go to in the neighborhood. Plain tasting pizza. Nothing special but the patio and live music are really nice! Baked clams said 6 clams on the menu but only 4 came out of the kitchen! The server blamed it on her giving us a catering menu. But she is the one that gave it to us! And to further insult us - she offered to ask the kitchen to cook up the 2 'missing' baked clams and bring them to us. But they never came out. We paid the check and left. Saw this place the last time I was in NY. Basically another garbage dump whose owner believes that plopping tomato sauce and processed cheddar cheese and cow (as opposed to buffalo) mozzarella on a slab of dough and heating it in a cold oven for a few min. counts as "pizza." Not necessary to enter the place to gauge the quality of their signature product--only only has to look at the pics of it on these Yelp reviews (or on Google--see below)--completely identical to the stale offerings in the plastic casings at various gas stations. Technically, even that's unnecessary--the silly maga flag outside is a clear indication that the owner couldn't hack it in the city of pizza w/his product alone and needed to resort to marketing to the segment of society that's too dumb to try anything other than Domino's and McD's, so to THEM, it's (obviously) fine dining. Can't blame him, though, it WORKS. Should be a hint to any of you out there with zero culinary skills and a lump of cash--start your own junk joint :) Get the cheapest frozen dough, processed cheese, and tomato sauce in bulk, make multiple slabs beforehand, and freeze it. Then, when open for business, hire undocumented labor* to run the frozen slabs fast though a conveyor belt oven. Finally--for the most important part--put a trump flag outside and mark up the price 10x. Or better yet, screw the flag and just call it "Trump Pizza"--within seconds your business will be flooded w/rowdy, brainless idiots who think your stuff is the best in the country** *** simply because of it's association with their orange Messiah. Much easier to do this in Mississippi or Alabama, not NYC, where one has the burden of competing w/real pizzerias. My first time here had a glorious chicken parm hero. What I noticed right away was the heftiness of how it felt....some places skimp on take out heroes - but not here. We ordered the chicken franchise, chicken parmigiana and a side order of meatballs. The chicken franchise was amazing. The sauce was perfectly lemony and buttery. The chicken parmigiana was excellent. There wasn't too much breading and the cheese was slightly crispy on top of the homemade tomato sauce. The side of meatballs tasted like mostly chopped meat as opposed to breading and mixture of veal or pork--but we liked it. They seem to not care about the health of others considering the extremely large gatherings they have constantly with no mask wearing whatsoever. Nice little pizza place way out on the island. The staff is super friendly, even put some croutons in my salad for me :-). The salad dressing was homemade and they have a few out there slices. A slice covered in salad and one with BBQ ribs on it. The restaurant needs a major make over tho, a real throwback. So don't take anyone your trying to impress just go for some pizza in jeans. We've been frequenting Patio Pizza since we moved into the area because of the quality of the food, but the longer we were customers the more we felt like family. The staff is always friendly and Guy, as well as the rest of the staff, is incredibly family oriented. Whenever I go there with my 3-year-old son, everyone interacts with him and he loves it. This place is sub par, at best! I ordered a bacon, cheeseburger pie. It had ketchup on it!!!! Who does that?? My girlfriend at white slice. It was cold and super greasy. They are having a Friday the 13th party and there is also a kids birthday party this evening. After the sub par slices, I was obviously still hungry. So I ordered deserts. So we've been to Patio's Pizza three times now. We actually really enjoy it. We just moved to the neighborhood and have been testing out all the local places and this is one of the ones we've come back to. The pizza is really good, has great flavor and good crunch. The chicken roll was okay for us it was a little mushy but still not terrible. The past though was great! Definitely better there than when we take home but also it is nice to go on a Friday night when love music is playing. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back. read more
