Patio world corp left me hanging as well as homecrest the manufacturer. My $3,000 just over 2yr old homecrest aurora 32 x 52 slate fire table created a Crack from Inside out. It is an obvious manufacturer defect, but both companies told me too bad and left me with a cracked table. I definitely do not recommend either corp companies, the staff however at FV store are very nice but unable to help with this issue at store level. read more

Similar to another complaint, bought the furniture which we really liked. We were given a hand written estimate. Purchased it over the phone. Had to call two days later to get a true receipt which we got. There was an issue with the furniture, not drying properly and water, possibly being retained within the piping of the chairs 2 weeks after purchase. Tried to return it and was told there was a 24 hour return policy. It should be on the back of our receipt ( which was not faxed.) We have never been provided with the back of the receipt. The store manager was very uncooperative. We were offered $150 return for the delivery fee by a vice president of the company who was very pleasant. Even that we had to send an email to get the refund. Very unpleasant experience. Not worth my time to sue for the value of the chairs. Hopefully they will work out, but do not hold out much hope. Bought an entire patio set here about one year ago only to have one problem after another. Where do I begin? The chair I purchased was not only defective but delivered that way. I immediately addressed this issue and was told that it was something that I needed to take up with the manufacturer. The umbrella I purchased faded after just 6 months, the knobs on the fire pit, rusted, dried up and fell off. Mind you this is supposed to be expensive patio furniture that you would think should be designed to be outdoors. Being that all the items I purchased were still under warranty, I have made several attempts at contacting Patio World and have only continued to get the run. It has been about one year of constant back and forth and yet I still am stuck with my defective set. Exceptional Customer service sums it up best. During this COVID shutdown, I found myself in need of two more seat cushions for Memorial day weekend, but Patio World was closed. On the off chance that I might get help, I called and left a message. I was called back the next day by Roxanne. She did explain they were closed and would work to help me out as soon as they were able. She kept in touch over the next few weeks. I was eventually able to go to the Fountain Valley store (by appointment only). Cid met me and unfortunately, they did not have the size I needed (this is now two days before Memorial Day weekend). Roxanne and Cid made it happen! They got the pads from the warehouse delivered to the FV store, about (1) hour before I needed to leave town. Don't buy anything here. They are over priced and if anything goes wrong, you will not receive good support. We bought an $1800 umbrella only to have it break after a few uses. 11 weeks after reporting the broken umbrella, I am still waiting for a replacement. Go with wayfair.com instead. I should have followed my instincts and walked out of this place when I first thought of it. Not one soul acknowledged us until we were on the verge of just walking out. However, and literally as we were heading to the exit, a sales being asked if he could help us. So, we stayed, looked at the offerings, and purchased a rather expensive chair, love seat, and special ordered matching coffee table. The chair and love seat were said to be in stock and would be delivered in the next week. The coffee table was a special order that would be delivered in 6 to 8 weeks. The chair and love seat were delivered as promised but then... radio silence. MAYbe (as suggested by the F.V. store manager) the vendor is not "reliable" but Patio World, as a whole, obviously could not care less. There clearly was never any kind of follow up with anyone to make sure things were moving or giving us any status updates (order placed, shipped, on the way, whatever). I called a bit after the 6 week mark to ask for an update and was dismissively and rudely told "we DID say that it could be six to EIGHT weeks" and that "they would keep me posted" with no other information provided than that. When I called back AFTER 8 weeks, having not been "kept posted" in any way, shape, or form, and considering rudeness I AGAIN encountered, I told them to credit the price back to my credit card. I was done with them. They did not deliver remotely when promised and did not provide any meaningful information. At this point I was given a run around that, since it was a special order, they'd have to work with head office to effect the refund. They insisted on calling it a "return" (perhaps trying to play on the no return policy of special orders) but they had never delivered anything to return. After having to repeatedly call them since they never returned a call when they said they would and pressing AGAIN for a refund, I was told the table was IN THEIR WAREHOUSE and would be delivered the next week. We were going to be away on vacation so, I kept the order live and scheduled the delivery for two days after our return. After our return, I called to confirm their previously stated delivery date and time. THIS time I was told that the table wasn't in the warehouse, nobody knew where it was, whether it had been ordered, shipped from the manufacturer, or... anything. Clearly I was outright lied to that it was "in the warehouse". I again demanded a refund BUT was told that "my store manager isn't in until Monday (this was on Thursday) and she'll have to work with head office to get this "return" going. Again... NOT A RETURN. I HAD NOTHING TO RETURN. I had my doubts but.... ok. I'll wait until Monday. Monday came and went with NO CALL. Finally on Tuesday, I called back and after some SIGNIFICANT pressure, got the refund finally done. They may have some very nice furniture here but, as a place to do business, Patio World is not worth turning into their parking lot for. Had they admitted their mistakes (even if they just plain forgot to order the table) and tried to make it right, this review might be VERY different. However, since I had to push SO hard to get any information and get that refund for the phantom table, one star is too many. read more

Very impress, we bought furniture there a couple years ago and, the kit we chose was pretty expensive but we were told that it was pretty much undestructable. 2 years later ( one year after the warranty expired) i gave them a call because the sun had literally burn down the material. The first person i spoke with was kind of playing the expired warranty card but told us to speak with the manager who was actually the person that sold us the product. 3 weeks later we received new furniture, the finish material was there updated version. I wouldn't go anywhere else for patio furniture. I bought a set about a year and a half ago. One of the cushion covers had a defect. As it turned out, they had changed the fabric so they replaced the entire set so that it would match! The guys who came to pick up and deliver couldn't have been nicer and more considerate. They spent time explaining some of the features and answered all my questions. The set everything up and left with the original, defective set. They were there on time and very efficient. The prices may be higher here but you get what you pay for. I have gone through three cheaper sets and in the long run, probably cost more than a beautiful set that will last and I know the company will back up their product. Thanks!!!! read more

I recently ordered furniture covers for our sectional Brown Jordan sofa, ottoman, club chair, coffee table and two occasional side tables. Brian was helpful in finding the covers but he failed to let me know that on Veteran's Day, there would be no sales tax until 5:00 PM. I couldn't make it to sign the order because I found out too late. I was upset, called the store and Brian referred me to Kathi Murray, Patioworld, Fountain Valley Manager. There's a reason women like Kathi rise to the position of Manager and that's because they know how important client satisfaction is and that the relationship between customer and store staff, when positive, will bring the customer back into the store. The staff, particularly Kathy was friendly and helpful. The prices were often twice the price of other high quality outdoor furniture. I am shocked that everyone didn't post FIVE stars for this Fountain Valley Patio World. Please understand, this Patio/garden furniture is not what you will see at OSH or Costco, or most other outdoor furniture stores. This is more designer quality exceptional merchandise. It is high end in price, quality, design, and service. I have never (and I am oldish) had better service than from CID (a woman) at the Fountain Valley Store. She is very knowledgeable, smart, kind and gracious. It took us two visits to the store and a couple of emails and a couple of phone calls for us to decide to buy what we did. We were looking for an outdoor dining design that would be totally family (young children) and pack some design power too. This store had it. The service didn't stop at purchase day. CID made herself accessible to me through text and phone and guided me to things like tabletop accessories and outdoor carpet sizes for our large table and chairs. Today she and I talked, three months after the purchase, and she personally assisted with a convenient delivery scheduling. This is the sort of white glove service stores used to give. If you are looking for inexpensive outdoor furniture this may not be where you want to shop but it would be a fun place to get inspiration. If, like us, you live outdoors most of the year and want to take you outdoor decor up a couple of notches this is the place to go. Oh, and ask for CID and tell her Wendy sent you. read more

The worst place ever. We walked in and 3 Employees at the desk and did not say hi. We were the only customers there. A straight couple walks in and they get greeted and asked if they needed help by some older lady. A guy works there then decides to come over to see if we need help. Very good experience here. Monique was very helpful and really made the difference for us. It's nice to work with someone who has some deep knowledge in the products offered, not just this/that would look good together. She helped us with tradeoffs of how the different products would wear and what to expect from them in the long run. Really appreciated that. We had a great experience at Patio World last Sunday. We called them up to see what sort of umbrella and base they had in stock. We decided to drive over there after they described a granite base that sounded just right for us. Kathy was our sales person and she could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The other two sales persons in the store were very friendly as well. The custom umbrella we decided to purchase was of a higher quality and a better price point than those we had seen on the Internet. Kathy called us two days later to say our special order was in....All is good!! read more
