Fraud. Scam. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Cantoni in Irvine is a scam company willing to lie and steal your money. I ordered what I was told was an Italian made chandelier. When I received it, it was marked Made in China. I immediately went to return it. Let me be clear, a $7,000 chandelier that you can find on Amazon for about $500. Jeff the manager and Danna (less so) the salesperson lied thru the teeth to justify the China made light. Lie after lie after lie. When I came to return the product, they even rolled down the warehouse bay door as tho to stop me from returning the fraud product. They said they will not accept returns despite their website clearly saying they do. Lies, upon lies upon lies. My dash cam and a video I took show exactly how absolutely scammy these people are. I had to call my credit card company to do a charge back. Avoid this terrible company at all cost. They sell lies and will do anything for a buck. Scam 2000%! Which is roughly their mark up on cheap Chinese crap they are selling. And to show just how much they are scamming their clients. I got a quote from the manufacturer in China for $1770. Mind you this is me buying 2 of each. Cantoni in Irvine is the destination for anyone who wants genuinely distinctive modern furniture. The showroom is beautifully laid out and carries European and Italian brands you won't find at the big-box stores. I came in for a sectional and ended up getting the sectional plus a dining set and a media console -- the sales team was knowledgeable about every piece and helped me understand the construction quality differences between lines. Delivery was white-glove and the team was careful with doorways and existing floors. Everything is exactly as presented. A real step up from the typical furniture shopping experience. read more

I came in to check out their selection of recliners and chairs for my living room. I struck up a conversation with the gentleman behind the desk and he wound up coming over to help me with a question I had. A woman came up and apparently she was supposed to be the one to "get me" and I found her to be unpleasant to deal with. I decided to not make a fuss about it but I didn't like how I had to work with her and he was the one who explained that they're on rotation here and that he didn't mean to butt in, he was nicer about it than this but it was odd. She wanted me to fill out a form that I didn't want to and she was fine with that but I knew she wanted to be able to keep in touch with me and I didn't want to keep in touch with her. read more

It is said that you get what you pay for, but in the case of Cantoni, you're over paying for what you get. The mark up on, in some cases, unremarkable furniture is just gouging the customer. If you find something you love, be sure to shop it because I guarantee you'll find it at a better price, even the Italian made 12-16 week turn time selections. My goodness, this is some of the most beautiful furniture and decor I have ever seen! I really wanted absolutely everything here, so classy, so well made, very unique and rich looking. The quality is exceptional, these are pieces you won't find anywhere else! That of course comes with a high price tag and while I don't mind spending on quality, especially for the home where it is meant to last for years, we are taking prices $10K+, just too much for a single piece of furniture. Service was very nice as well, we felt welcome and it was surely inspiring to take in what they have to offer. I might be back to add a piece or two later, but for now, I can only dream, this is for sure a must see furniture store and if you can afford it, the best place in OC to decorate your home! read more

We are so impressed with not only the gorgeous furniture we purchased but the customer service with Cantoni is extraordinary. We never write reviews but in this case we have to. We ordered a beautiful leather couch that Sara helped us to pick out. It took 6 months to get it from Italy . We live on the 30th floor of a condo building . When we were scheduled for delivery, the couch would not fit in the service elevator. Jeff, the manager, worked with the elevator company to place the couch on the top of the elevator to deliver it. He even said his company would carry it up the 30 floor, if they had to. He spent hours on the phone with us trying to figure out a solution. They are awesome. Got the couch up! read more

We visited the store in Irvine many times and Sarah always greeted us with her smile and high energy. She is also super responsive in emailing. The delivery service was also phenomenal and professional. We bought 80% of our furniture for the new house from Cantoni since they carry a wide variety of brands and styles. Sarah wasn't pushy either and all the recommendations she made were within our budget. We would definitely refer Cantoni and Sarah to friends and families. Bought a coffee table, when they delivered I noticed later in the day that the glass top had been cracked and they attempted to buff it out, so that you couldn't notice that it had been damaged before. I called customer service, they sent out a new glass, upon initial inspection seemed fine, but again later in the day, it has a small minor blemish..... Cantoni my love...such lovely curves and fine design...sigh. So sad you are so are not within my price range. I was able to splurge though and am so glad for being able to get at least one thing from your store, if ever so small... I fell in love with Cantoni not from their store, but from a print ad in a magazine. The style of the kitchen that was designed was so gorgeous I clipped out the ad to save for when we moved knowing that we needed furniture. Little did I know it would be the start of an obsession. They are right across the lot from Plummers, the budget furniture store. You get what you pay for though, the quality at Canoni is supreme and the service remarkable. The sales person that handled our account is a real designer showcasing his work in a portfolio at the counter. We just got some Elite barstools and were happy to find out they were on sale, those barstools are a bit pricey but look to be worth the investment in quality and style. Their policies as we've been told are wonderful, we'll see how the experience is upon receiving the products. I'll update again then! read more

I went back and saw that they added some great things to the second floor. Now there is a whole new sleep mattress studio on the second floor and also offering modern kitchens now too. I was shopping for a sleeper sofa and got one by American Leather. I had to sleep on it for two weeks and it truly did feel just as comfortable as a regular bed. I was completely awed by the new mattress studio. It's very contemporary and sophisticated looking. There was a certain mattress there by a company called Vi-spring. I had never heard of the brand before but it's a British company and supposedly the queen sleeps on one. The mattress was made completely of natural materials. I was sold until I saw the price tag. I guess for that level of quality, you can only expect to pay top dollar. At least I know it lasts for a long time. It's nice to know that I can get a Vi-spring mattress in Orange County and not have to drive all the way to LA. Very happy with the service and products that Cantoni offers. read more

I am willing to pay high prices for beautiful furniture. That is not the problem here. The quality and design of the furniture were great. The buying experience and the after sale service had a lot to be desired. When we order the sofa we were told that the it was in stock in the inventory. That was the main reason we picked the sofa. We paid everything upfront. After a few days we were then told that it was a mistake and it required three months wait. We waited the said three months and there was no update and it required us to contact the sale representative (Danna Mao) in order to be told that there would be more delay. We called the customer service and was told that the manager would contact us, but it never happened. I don't believe this type of service was acceptable for this type of store. read more

Some of you may know about Cantoni because of their store off La Brea. The Irvine location though is nothing like that. I looked up 92618 on line and it turns out half the zip code is the Cantoni Warehouse (the other half is the Spectrum)! This show room is well organized into themes (not items) and gives you a great look at this sleek and sophisticated Italian made furniture. I went here to shop for bedroom furnishing and I think I was there an hour at least. They had the night & day collection, 5th avenue collection, and many more. I just decided to mention the two I did not like as much the others. The staff is quite helpful, so much that I have to name drop Payton Addison. She showed me around and by talking with me said she has keen insight to my style and she offered to email me about new furniture that comes in that would match my style and even drive to my spot to look and help me plan. (I think she is just trying to spend a day in LA on the clock). Most of everything you can find on www.cantoni.com is located in this showroom. I am looking forward to my new bed from Cantoni. I almost want to fly to Dallas to visit the outlet. Cantoni is my favorite furniture with Ikea coming in at a distant 31st. read more

Recently, A leg from a couch I bought years ago went missing during a move, so I called them to purchase a replacement. I dealt with Dianne Briones, who was not only an excellent and prompt communicator, but offered to send me the replacement parts for free, even though I offered to pay. Service after the sale! Makes the whole process of setting up your new house very easy and knowledgeable Design Consultants with no selling pressure of any sort typically experienced at other stores. Our design consultant Saghar was very helpful and answered all our additional questions over Email (when not in store). She was extremely knowledgeable and very patiently walked through all options and sometimes 'all over once again'. On one occasion she offered me the option for return or exchange (unheard at other stores) over a carpet that really didn't fit in our living room without sofa yet. With furniture shopping being so stressful, Danna Mao our personal designer was a delight. She personalized everything to our liking and treated us very well. I love the furniture here and i buy nice furniture not only from Cantoni but other luxury brand too. However, 2 weeks ago i received a furniture from them and it had a little defects but thats ok because they would fix it. However the sales Dana and the manager Jeff was not very good at following up and basically said he forgot because he had a busy day at work. It would have been fine if he apologize first but he was so defensive and made the conversation sour. I will not buy furniture from this Cantoni ever again since they are not the only one with luxury furniture. Fyi, Dana said she did not follow up because she had 2 days off but for me it looked like she wanted to get out of the situation rather than to help me. Prices are a little higher than elsewhere and is to be expected since it is a little higher class. The staff is friendly and not too pushy and they won't pressure you too much to make a purchase but don't go asking too many questions either. Plenty of parking. I would like to point out that I am not a typical reviewer but for the reasons below I decided to give this 5 star review. I am a sales persons worst nightmare. I like to shop shop shop etc. ask questions, compare and haggle, haggle, and spend 5-10+ hours with sales people when it could be done in less than half the time. After meeting Danna she was able to figure my lifestyle out and she came to my house and let me tell you every person that i have brought my things it is a movie stars home. No kidding. It was so tastefully done, so professionally and yet pricing was still on par if not less than hiring an interior designer with no store affiliation. These guys know what they are doing. Very impressed. The furniture here is fantastic quality and priced appropriately. The design team is fantastic. They collect your floor plans and design your place based on it. Some of the items have to be ordered from manufacture so it may take a few weeks. Expect to spend a little bit of time there since there is a lot of square footage of great looking items. read more

I LOVE Cantoni! I walked into the showroom desperate for a dining table which could arrive within a month for a huge dinner party I was hosting. I met the manager, who told me that if I ordered a table that would not arrive in time, Cantoni would give me a loaner table. They really went out of their way to accommodate my situation. I had high hopes before entering the store. I've seen their ads in the papers a lot. The pieces are very expensive, but I don't see why. The sofas were not particularly comfy, and the leather was not really that soft. My sister and I walked around the store for almost 30 mins with no one greeting us. (Is it because we did not wear 7 for All Mankind jeans and carrying Vuittons??) There was a saleslady who walked by us with a calculator, but we apparently were transparent to her. (No wonder we were the only ones in there on a saturday afternoon) Most of the furniture is black, white, with a few browns and reds. Most of the collection I think would look really nice with Sharon Stone sitting (or laying) on the furniture in the movie "Casino". I somehow cannot wipe that image off my mind. Sadly, we could not find even one piece of furniture that we like. Maybe some people will like Cantoni's style, but it's just too NY apartment style for my sister and too "Sharon Ston-y for me. read more
