DO NOT LEASE AT ANY JONES AND JONES PROPERTY. The AC units cause fires which they front office will just blow off. The plumbing is AWFUL with literal FECES AND RAW SEWAGE coming up through the showers. But they will only put a band-aid fix on that so get used to that raw sewage smell! They also allow illegal parking in front of mailboxes that have been broken into and vandalised. So your mail is not safe. Also, our car port storage unit was broken into and stolen from. They only respond to emails or concerns after several follow ups or if you call them out in a public forum. But they don't like that so they delete reviews and comments and will block you from posting on their community page, a community that you live in! But the biggest issue is the thief in the front office stealing rent checks. The front office will promise you that they are "looking into it" and will follow up later that day. But I'm now over a week waiting on a response to see what happened to our rent check that someone at the front office probably stole. This whole community is a scam and these people should be ashamed for working for this company. They DO NOT care about safety concerns, they only care about getting your rent check and buying good reviews so they can save face. I regret every living here and can't wait to be out of here! I wrote one myself, which I was just now about to update, and it has disappeared along with all the rest. Honestly, this makes me question why I should ever trust Yelp itself ever again, considering this apartment complex has been in this same place with the same name for over 2 decades at least. As for the apartment complex itself, I will reiterate here some of my still as yet unresolved complaints from my now-deleted previous review that I wrote last year. First of all, the building I live in itself isn't really the problem (thankfully I don't live in the units which are literally right next to the railroad tracks/train station, which seems like an absolute nightmare). Also, the maintenance staff seem to do their job Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the so-called management . I literally have no idea what they do! They do not answer the phones. They very rarely answer the door to the leasing office, and there is no one there on the weekends at all now, anyway. So, if you have an issue on the weekends you're on your own, or you will need to call the police, because the security won't come out until after 10pm (if they come at all...). The security service is called L.A. Security & Patrol. This property is in Simi Valley.... The previous management had the good sense to hire a local company for this service.. Besides being far away, some of their people seem absolutely useless. Which is a shame, because living here you often find yourself needing their services. Due to the adjacent train station, there are lots of vagrants & criminals nearby, some of whom sometimes take up residence on the property itself for extended periods of time (see picture below). They also break into the pool area at night. Honestly though they are less troublesome than the usual crowd at the pool area, which serves as some kind of Block Party location on weeknights and throughout the entire weekend during the summer, with large crowds (often obviously exceeding the stated capacity limit), loud music (their own written rules say only headphones allowed, but people consistently play music so loud I can hear it over my TV when it's turned up all the way), and I have even seen people carrying around large knives! I rarely recognize any of these people as my neighbors, but people know there is no enforcement so they just sneak in, apparently. I would think that the management would be incentivized to do something about all of this, since it also sometimes affects them. Someone even recently stole their golf cart from the leasing office (which is adjacent to the pool), lmfao. You can't make this stuff up! I probably should've already moved, but there are good running trails in the hills nearby, and I thought that surely at some point this current management team would implode and be replaced by a (hopefully) better crew. I was quite happy here under the previous management, which is partially why I've stayed on longer than I ever should have. (Anyone interested can go through my review history to see the glowing review I left for them, along with the previous bad review I left last year for the current ownership).

The surrounding are was very quiet. We were able to make some great friendships with the neighbors and will miss what was once home. They have…read moreinformed me even though I have a Westlake Village address, I am zoned "Thousand Oaks" so I have contacted Thousand Oaks City Hall and they are filing a report and taking action. The process: they notify county, county comes to do an inspection. Then they decide if the building needs to be tented and vacated. I am starting the process to break my lease with the on site manager. Such a nightmare, no one...let alone a single mother of 2 should ever have to go through this awful mess. The mold problem cannot be addressed. I am informed that the state has no legal action or law for mold on property windows. I will attach some photos so you can all see what we have been dealing with. I took this action, because this apartment complex needs to be accountable. They are spraying my home with toxins. I have asked for list of what chemicals they are using and I have never gotten it. I also found out, they should be spraying every 3 days three times a day. they have been spraying my home only, once every Monday. My neighbors were not sprayed until recently. We all should have been warned and sprayed in the correct fashion...and possibly put in hotel. And a cleaning service and carpet washing should have happened after...but NONE did. I spent a week cleaning up the dead and live bugs left behind after fogging was done. My carpet was full of cockroaches trying to flee the kitchen and crawl away. I will have to pay for a cleaning service to come...and a carpet cleaning service to come...unless the city gives us orders to leave...then-I won't even bother, I will just go. I cannot tell you the damage this process has done. I have had migraine headaches and my skin has broken out...all from the chemicals. I could never recommend this complex to anyone.

Disgusting. Our cat hunts them at night, every night at 10pm. We keep our kitchen clean but there is no stopping the bugs. One more con that is not related to IMT directly is that a lot of the tenants here smoke. It is hard to get a breeze without the smell of smoke in the evenings. I suppose this is just part of living by tons of other people who have the freedom to choose whether they want to smoke or not. Pros: The apartment complex is mostly quiet, except for when people decide to have loud fights in the middle of the night, during which everything can be heard. But during normal nights, it is easy to get a peaceful night's sleep, which is rare for an apartment complex. Another pro: jacuzzi is awesome. It's large enough to enjoy some time with several friends in a hot tub.
