The service department is not the friendliest! Whenever I try to make an appointment to drop off my car and get a loaner they always tell me that there are no loaners available till the following MONTH or so! Took my car to Patrick BMW to get some small issue fixed with the door latch. Matt P took care of me, gave me an estimated ETA and arranged for a ride home since it would take about 2-3 hours. Called me when it was done and arranged for a ride again. Overall customer experience was much much better and it seems like the dealership is making an effort. It was too cold for a car wash, so I could not get that done. An area of improvement is to receive customers and direct them to the right place as soon as they arrive rather than them having to wait and figure things out themselves. read more

Had a decent experience buying a car from here a while back, but the lackluster rating is for the peach of a gal who is the receptionist/secretary/whoever answers phones and sits by the door. 1) If someone is calling you, hopelessly lost, but still wants to come to your dealership (i.e. wants to give your place of employment large sums of money that day), don't be nasty and refuse to give directions. I'm so sorry I don't know what city I'm in...I live in downtown Chicago, Golf Road is freaking long and spans like 23904 cities, and I just want to know what side of the stupid highway you are on. THAT'S IT. If you have no clue where I am and don't know how to help me, just say it. Don't be rude about it. 2) If I finally make it inside your place of business, and because I drove around lost for so long, now have to use the restroom like no one's business, don't give me "The Hand" when I ask you where the bathroom is. I'm not the one who told you to wear that uber-fashionable earpiece so NO ONE CAN SEE YOU'RE ON THE PHONE (presumably being rude to another customer who can't find your dealership). Seriously...you're a luxury car dealership. Hire someone with more social skills than a piece of lettuce to be your receptionist and answer your phones. I think it's worth the investment. read more

Let me start off by saying, don't waste your time at Schaumburg BMW. Go to Crystal Lake BMW instead. I don't really write reviews but for this occasion I really felt the need to. I switch cars very frequently and just stick to german luxury cars. I went into Schaumburg BMW on a weeknight in the hopes of trading my Audi S5 in for a 335i. Usually you would think a sales person would be enthusiastic in the hopes of getting a customer. Unfortunately that was not the case here, as I was greeted by an older grumpy gentlemen, Sal. My wife and I started by asking what 335i's you have in stock. His first question was how will you be paying for this? Usually I'm not offended by questions like this from a dealer but his tone was just awful. I told him we can pay cash or finance depending on the APR. A little background, while we may look young, my wife and I are both engineers with great salaries. He started showing us his inventory on his computer and said "well we might not have what you're looking for..." I didn't even tell him the specifics yet. Specifically I was looking for a 2013+ 335i x-drive in a manual transmission. Once I told him that, he said we wouldn't be able to find a car like anywhere in the area currently. Which i was ok with, as we found a couple in a different state at other BMW dealerships. I had called BMW USA to confirm these dealerships were in the same network and would be able to port the car. BMW USA confirmed they would be able to and Schaumburg BMW would be very helpful. Sal continued to say well this is impossible as management would never approve this. I told him to ask his manager but he said all of the managers went home for the day. I asked Sal to just confirm with the other dealership if they were willing to send the car to Schaumburg. He walked out of the room to "call" that dealership. My wife went to get coffee and saw him laughing with other employees and not making any calls. He came to back into the room and said the dealership is unwilling to send the car to them. Which was a lie because I called the dealership and they were very helpful to confirm they would be willing to send the car as long as Schaumburg would cover the $500 porting fee. Which I had no issue paying myself. I decided to leave because I got the feeling he just didn't want to help us. I told him to have the manager call me the next day, no one has called me. I would never recommend anyone going to Schaumburg BMW. I went to Crystal Lake BMW instead and they had the best service ever. Ended up buying a 335i M sport through them. Everyone was super friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Even with it being close to closing they never rushed us at all.  They called me to confirm I was happy with my purchase and if everyone was helpful. They were looking for feedback. This is the type of service that everyone should be receiving. I would recommend Crystal Lake BMW to anyone looking for respect and friendly service. This is for the sales department and overall car buying experience. I recently found the car I wanted at Patrick BMW. As I am in Dallas I had to do this deal from a distance. My salesperson was Keith Svec. To make a long story short Keith assured me that the car was mine and he had secured it. My financing was also approved. At this point it was really whether I was taking a trip up to Chicago to finish the paperwork or if we would do it via FedEx. As a side note, I had secured another BMW in Austin, TX that I released because this car was the one I wanted. Again, the car was assured to be mine and we were well beyond the inquiry phase and into just signing on the dotted line. My credit card was even taken for a deposit. On the following day Keith and I connected and everything was on track. Near close of business Keith calls me to tell me there is 'bad news'. My car had been sold to someone else. While Keith was nice and seemed sincere, it still does not make up for the fact that this car was supposed to be secured. In the end I not only lost the car at Patrick BMW, but the previous car I had secured, plus the financing rate that I was approved for that now is no longer valid at month's end, not to mention the extra credit inquiry. As a consumer I expect more from BMW dealerships, and this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I feel like a victim since I have no recourse and I am now out two cars and the additional savings from the low financing that terminates at the end of the month. While Keith was for the most part helpful in the process, the end result speaks for itself. It is obvious this dealership and salespeople are not true to their word, and it is a terrible reflection on the BMW brand as a whole. read more

I was recently inspired to replace my car with a high end model. During a break from work I visited this dealership and was surprised to have been ignored from the time I walked through the door, as I checked out various models and as I left the dealership. I spoke to the receptionist as I walked through the door and received no response, I said hello again thinking maybe she did not hear me... this time I got a slight smile. I am not sure why she couldn't respond with a "hello". As I looked at the various BMW models, there was a salesperson in every office with no apparent client. I was never treated or even offered any assistance. Once sales person walked pass me several times at one time I was even in his way...Not only did he not say excuse me, he turned his back to squeeze pass me. I realize that I was the only African American in the dealership. I would hate to think that this type of treatment was racially motivated. Nevertheless, this dealership showed an lack of interest in a willing and able buyer. This experience definitely spoiled my excitement. read more

This is not a good dealership because of customer service, they call you when they think you want to purchase a car from them after you do you cannot get a phone call returned if you have a problem, also stay away from the warranty coverage because if you decide to purchase then cancel they keep your money and throw it into your payment they say. read more

I like these guys. I have a new M3 and they always do fast work on repairs, often having my car turned around within a few hours. They also replace/fix whatever I'm having a problem with no questions asked. They've even done track inspections for me no charge. We bought our new car there, the sales rep is really nice. However, the financing department, Ms. Gonzalez is totally unprofessional and have no idea about her job. We corrected my husband's name three times for the finance contract. There was some issue with the network to proof the finance contract. She said she would take care of it. When we got the contract, my husband's name still wrong. She copied the first name to last name, while the first name is also wrong. We mentioned that when we went back for the coating from Zurich after a week. And when we received a letter from BMW financing. We found it even more offensive, she entered my husband gender wrong. Most unprofessional person I have ever met in business. Oh, other thing I should mention, she asked me to sign the declaim letter that she shows me all the options BMW provided. But she didn't, she actually stopped me from reading all the options/bundle when I reject bought another Zurich protect. read more

Terrible Dealership, Terrible Leadership, Terrible Service! I would never buy a car from this dealership because simply put they are very dishonest and could not care less about you as a customer. My experience was awful, the service was non existent and they lack integrity and professionalism. The fact the I have to give them even 1 star bothers me. Now, I have also noticed that whoever reads these reviews only comments on positive ones rather then focusing on the concerns of its clientele. I challenge Patrick BMW or whoever reads this to perhaps listen to the concerns of your customers instead of just ignoring them. However, based on experience you like ignoring customers! I hope I could give them zero star but it was not an option. Then 1 start it is. First of all, when I bought my BMW from this dealership, I was told that my car had Xeon headlights and some other options. The features were even printed on the sheet that was attached to the window. Of course I bought it. It turned out that none of the additional options were there. I paid a premium for options that never existed. I will never go back to this dealership. A friend of mine bought his BMW from a different dealer. Same model, year, mileage and features. He paid $4,000 less. I was so pissed when I found out about it. So stay away. Second of all, if you do want to service your car there, please do your homework. Don't just take whatever their service rep tell you. Most of time, your car is just fine without a lot of the repair work they recommend. If you're in for an oil change, stick to the plan. You don't need an oil change plus 4-wheel alignment. Just a piece of advice. read more

Interested in a new BMW. Their web site had many models on sale at substantial discounts. I emailed and received a reply. From that point on this business made Enron look angelic. I was always polite and all I wanted to know was the lease payment on a car I wanted. No trade, pretty straight deal. At that point the answer was always the same, "I am talking to my manager". Ten days later it became evident that this dealership had no intention of selling me a car on sale. It was always "you don't want THAT model". Classic bait and switch. Trust the bad reviews and stay away from these guys you will not find the sale cars and they will try to jack you on a high interest rate loan even if you have great credit. I bought a Used car from here and the service is very poor. I think they need a lot of improvements on the sales team and service post purchase. When you have a problem or question they are very slow, not knowledgeable and very rude. If you need to buy a Used luxury car. My review is about a helping hand that the Patrick BMW service department lent to me. First you have to realize that I have a bit of a Charlie Brown factor.... In the tail end of a drive out to a client meeting in Schaumburg, my tire indicator goes on - in RED. I also only have about .5 gallon of gas left. I am running late, of course, so I keep driving. I realize, when I go to take the client out to lunch, that I have left my wallet on the counter - at home. Seriously! So, after I drop them back off, my car is basically on fumes with a RED indicator and I have no cash. I find a Bank of America with people and get a $100 and go get $70 work of gas. Now, I know that Patrick BMW is in the hood because I bought my Saab there forever ago. So, I pull in and ask if they could check it out. They filled it with air but it lost pressure immediately. They told me that if they could not repair it, that they had a new tire in stock. And this point I had to tell him I had $30 and no plastic and would they do it on an IOU from a stranger (because at this point it was like 5:55 and I was guessing that another bank run was not in the cards). Seriously! As if it was 1950. And he said, let's see what is going on and take it from there. We won't let you leave in a car that is not safe. Hello - so nice. So there was something up with the seal that they had to repair. And they did it for NO CHARGE. My BMW warranty expired several months ago. Maybe they just felt sorry for me as my car looked like a crack den that I was living out of and my story was pathetic. I mean who pulls in for service with no means to pay for it. Our first experience was with a wrong guy and things spiraled downwards but eventually they corrected themselves and did a great job of giving us a good deal. One of their salesmen John went out of his way I should say and helped us get our car. He's the guy to ask for to show around. And Don helped us in getting acclimatized with our new car. Last month I took delivery of the 3rd BMW I have leased and/or purchased from Patrick BMW. I will admit that I shopped around this time just to satisfy my curiousity about Lexus and Mercedes. Lexus treated me horrible! I was quoted one price for a car, only to have the Sales Manager quote me a much HIGHER price when I asked if they could do any better. Ummmm . . . That's not how it works, fellas! Mercedes was a bit better, but instead of working with me on the price and terms, the salesman tried to push me toward last years model, which he had just criticized 5 minutes prior. No thank you! Chris and Kam not only found me the perfect car, they actually took the time to find out what I WANTED - they found me the car I WANTED. We have taken our car here a few times for service and was less than impressed. We made an appointment for a recall and dropped the car off. We were given an X1 as a loaner. Before leaving we were told we would charged for fuel, this is a first for me, but whatever. Drove the car home and back less than 20 total miles and was charged $10 for gas. Car gets 23mpg city. Picked up car and the interior smelled very bad. Drove home with the windows open and cleaned the interior. Smells fine now. My Audi dealership was so much better to me. read more

My name is Joe, I feel compelled to write this letter, as I'm concerned with the service and maintenance on my 2003 BMW X5 for some years. I took my vehicle to your service PATRICK BMW facility in the winter of 2009 and there were several reasons given for the malfunction of my car. The following year, winter of 2010, the same problem occurred and again there were several explanations given, but I paid for part of the repair. Now it is the winter of 2011, and I had the same problem. I like my car and I'm trying to keep it in good running condition (only 86.000 miles), especially in today's economy. The service manager does not seem to agree with my claims, which is causing me frustration every year. I understand that some of these repairs are covered under warranty, but I have paid for some of the repairs in 2009 & 2010. I don't know if this problem will continue to happen every year so this is a very stressful situation. The main explanation I've received is that there is moisture in the engine and the cause of that is because I only travel short distances in this vehicle. Therefore, their solution is that I need to travel longer distances. This is not a solution for me. I have no need to travel long distances so a different solution needs to be given. The ONLY reason I gave one star was because my sales man was courteous and professional , Teri Shoemaker. Thank YOU. DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! I purchased a 2006 Rang Rover Land Rover from this dealership on 1/23/14 and attempted to purchase an extended warranty 1/12000 for $3971.00... YES! you read that right , $3971.00. Needless to say I never received any docs from the warranty (Easy Care) , I called them in April 2014, to follow up and was told I had no warranty. Easy Care stated they never received any docs from the dealership and to follow up with their finance dept (Jori Renc) she is soooo NOT professional to say the very least. After numerous phone calls back and forth nothing was done until I drove over 40 miles back to the dealership and spoke with Jori's supervisor and then the Genreal Sales mgr., Tim Gadmoski, & the Pre-Owned sales Mgr. Chris Lima. After all that the General Mgr ,Tim attempted to put the blame on the Warranty Company even after Chris admitted that the ball had been dropped not to mention that he was not surprised Jori had dropped the ball, this was within her character. Needless to say Patrick BMW did eat the cost of the repair my vehicle required although I later researched that the problem had been a manufacturer recall anyway.... Today I realized I still had not received my I.D cards from Easy Care and was told that I STILL have no active warranty!!! I couldn't believe it. SIX MONTHS into a one year warranty that cost almost $4k and not to mention the vehicle was paid for out right and I have NO WARRANTY..... Easy Care stated that since the ball was dropped initially the Dealership was required to submit additional paper work and they had AGAIN FAILED to do so. The Finance Dept and Business Manager Jori Renc are very unprofessional and obviously DO NOT take their titles seriously. I am a HARD WORKING mother and my money is not easily acquired. ANY dealership that is this careless with document submission, customer complaints, and follow up DOES NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMER BASE and are only concerned with their own bottom line, which by the way is dependent on their customer base. I will NEVER go back to this dealership and I pray they have since gotten rid of the most unprofessional Business Manager I have EVER conducted business with Jori Renc. read more

Starting with the misleading information about the lease and interest rates, to the horrible customer service, our entire experience at Patrick BMW was ridiculously bad. We should have know better - here is why: Being new to Illinois, we asked about interest rates and taxes, and were misled into a lease, which actually costs more than it would have to finance the car through the bank. When we tried to discuss other options, we were flatly told, "You can't." The car - which had 7000 miles on it ("used" by any other name) - was sold as "new" because it had never been titled. This "new" car showed a good deal of use, starting with a mangled wheel, and a cracked/broken rear light, which we had to discover for ourselves, as opposed to the dealership doing the necessary due diligence. When we brought the car in to have the windows tinted and to get the damage fixed, we were told they would call us when the car was ready. This was not to be. Rather, we had to call to find out when the car would be ready, and then we were never given confirmation that the car was actually ready. Upon deciding to pick up the car the next day (still not know if the car was ready or not), the Customer Service personnel told us that we had not received a call because they were, "really busy." When we picked up the car, it was not washed or vacuumed as we had been told it would be. In fact, it was dirtier. And the people who had been working in our car left one of their tools in the backseat. To say that this was a bad experience would be downplaying it. The only saving grace of this experience is the fact that I can use ANY dealership in the U.S. for the maintenance of the car, which is one benefit I intend to use in order to avoid the insult that Patrick BMW calls "Customer Service." read more

I bought a couple of BMW's from Patrick in the past and "assumed" I was being treated fairly. I am an experienced buyer as I usually upgrade in 3-4 years. The last BMW I purchased the extended service warranty. Upon trading in the vehicle I realized that I had not received copies of all the pages of the warranty agreement specifically what was left out was the fact that upon trading in the vehicle I would not receive any PRORATED REFUND, had I known this I would not have purchased the extended service plan. Most auto companies offer a prorated refund for early termination but BMW does not , this was stated on the pages that were not given to me. I would still buy a BMW but Patrick has lost my business for good. read more

We came late in the evening and he and the credit manager stayed until 10:15PM to insure we could drive our car home that night. I received a very good price on my trade-in and that sealed the deal for me. I found the dealership friendly and helpful. When I replace my other car, I will buy at Patrick. I had my oil changed here last May or June. I called them before hand to see how much they would charge and the person told me around $100, I forget the exact amount. So I decided to take my car over there because it wasn't much more than every where else. What they didn't tell me was that it costs another $100 to reset the computer. Little irritated but whatever, I just wanted to get it done. The day before I took my car over there, I filled up my washer fluid and didn't use a single drop of it. I took my car there and after I picked up my car, I looked at the bill and they had charged me $4 because they said they topped off my windshield washer fluid. Since it was only $4, I decided I wasn't going to go complain but because of their dishonesty, I will never go back there again. I also encourage my friends and family that own BMWs to never go their either. read more

**My car was taken out for a JOY ride by the dealer and drove 24 miles on my car while it was in for service** *****DONOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED AT PATRICK BMW IN SHAUMBURG IL**** I went in to the Patrick BMW dealer in Schaumburg IL to ask if cup holders are covered under the BMW warranty. I spoke to a sales advisor Andrew. He told me they cover cup holders all the time, while other BMW dealer told me cup holders are not covered under BMW warranty. I called BMW to find out if cup holders covered under the warranty or not, they told me they are NOT. So, I took my car back to the dealer and I told Andrew since you are covering the cup holder while the other BMW dealers are not I'll give you the business. I schedule the appointment to get the cup holders replaced. The first time I went to get my cup holder's replaced I was NOT satisfied with the service; it took two hours for the service department to install two cup holders and look at one other thing. When I confronted my sales advisor he got upset with me and told me he never told me it will only be 45 minutes to an hour and there is some misunderstanding. I gave them benefit of the doubt-I reschedule the appointment to have them look at the shuttering noise coming from the clutch. Not to mention that driver side cup holder was NOT installed properly! I dropped off my car on Wednesday (10/12/2011) regarding the shuttering noise coming from the clutch. I asked my sales advisor Andrew, so I should be hearing from you by tomorrow? He said, so far we know it's the flywheel that's making the noise, but it might be coming from transmission, but I will get back to you by tonight and let you know. Andrew called me same day at 6pm (I was surprised to hear from him) and said we still think it's the clutch but I will know tomorrow (Thursday) for sure. Andrew said I am not working tomorrow, so you will hear from someone else from the service department or I will call you first thing in the morning on Friday. I did NOT get a call Thursday, Friday or Saturday. After waiting for 3 days I called Saturday around noon, left a message for my sales advisor to call me back with a status update on the car. Andrew called me about 20min later and told me he got the approval from BMW last night and all they want us to do is change the fluid. I asked him what fluid. Again, he said all they want to do is change the fluid and I am not sure if we even have the fluid in stock I have to go check and I will call you later today. I asked him again what fluid, you told me it's the clutch that making the noise. He said no, BMW want us to do is just change the fluid before they authorize any major repairs. I asked him what fluid are you talking about, are you talking about the Transmission fluid. He said yes. I told him I work till 10:30pmso I will not be able to pick up the car today. He was like no problem I will call you before I leave and let you know when it will be ready. I did not get a call from him till 2pm Monday. Andrew left me a voice mail saying, we change the fluid on your car and we like to keep the car till Thursday (10/20/2011) since the BMW field manager is coming and we would like him to drive the car. I called Andrew back and told him, I will NOT leave my car any longer then what you already had the car for. I will picket up first thing tomorrow morning (Tuesday) (I wouldn't have peace of mind leaving the car here if the sales advisor constantly fails to followed up even with a promise). Wouldn't you think if they got the permission to change the Transmission fluid on Friday night, they should have change the fluid first thing Saturday morning?? Dealer is open at 8am on Saturday, I would think it would take about an hour or two at most three hours to change the transmission fluid and have the car ready by noon. But when I called at noon, the answer I got was oh, we just got permission from BMW last night, NOT sure if we have the fluid in stock. Seriously, I took my BMW to get it service at BMW dealer, not at the Ford dealer. How do they not have a transmission fluid in stock? So after getting my car back I came home and called BMW Customer Relations: 1-800-831-1117, I would think they would have information of things they authorized to be serviced. BMW had absolutely no information on any service that was authorized to Anderson BMW. After 5days waiting, with no follow up from my sales advisor Andrew, all I got was transmission fluid change, one improperly installed cup holder and 24 miles on my car. Yes, dealer put 24 miles on my car. When I went to ask about the 24 miles on my car, the girl at the service desk starts arguing with me, she said, well we had your car for about a week, and its ONLY 24 miles. In her opinion, it makes it alright to put 24 miles on my car since my car was in for service for a week?!!! In my opinion, 24 miles are a lot of miles for a dealer to drive while it's in for service. read more

Totaly sucked for service...We will treat your car like its our own. bullshit... when finished didnt want to go over the work. Just here it is. Panels not lokced in Place after work. Found 3/4 of a sandwich sitting on the engine.. and the service rep just shrugged.. I had to return because it wasnt ready. I refused to deal with the same rep... total joke... read more
