Most of the 'movers' that arrived at our home over a period of time were friends and family 'helping out' - for the price of $8500! We paid for packing AND moving - nothing was wrapped and most glass broken for us to clean up. Not a single box we packed in advance and labeled was placed even on the correct floor! Lots of moving heavy things for us after the fact. No private moving vehicles, no trained employees (as advertised). Items were stolen, every piece of furniture broken or damaged. We are still unpacking the disaster they left for us but here are the highlights: - Underestimated moving needs and extorted us for a second moving truck - Tried to scam us asking for payments multiple ways claiming the banks were freezing their account - Used filthy Uhauls (ruined lots of our belongings) - Stolen electronics (ROKU etc) - Refusal to discuss issues after 24hrs! Who can unpack that fast? This should've told us the type of move we were getting but we had hoped for common sense instead of horrible customer service.

A detailed version of my experience below. Started off on the wrong foot since they were over an hour late. They showed up in a uhaul. Said that all their trucks were in the shop. It was a three man crew. All of them were very nice. However, that is probably the only thing I have positive to say at this point. During the move, they managed to lose/misplace/steal ( who knows?!) 1 small bookcase, two shelves to a bookcase and a box that contained jewelry and other items. Also have a desk that will not make another move and a sofa table that is now wobbly. Granted, the jewelry is of no monetary value but has great sentimental value. There was damage to a $300 tv stand. Damage to the walls. At one point I had to ask them to be more careful and even showed them the damage they were inflecting on my belongings. Once the truck was full and they got to point b, I showed them were everything needed to be moved to. They all smelled of marijuana. Which isn't a big deal, but now their once relatively quick pace became a snails pace. I had to ask them to leave my stuff on the street to go make a second trip bc they were taking forever! We were told they would be able to disassemble furniture if needed. They couldn't get one of the beds apart but my 120lbs sister was able to do it, no problem. They took apart my bed but it's been at least a month and I still don't have the screws to my bed that they took out. They had no pads or any equipment with them. They had to use my tools to take apart the furniture. They didn't even have water!! It was in June and they were asking me for water bc they had nothing to drink!! We've been emailing the owner/manager about being reimbursed for the damage and missing items and have been told they have to "investigate" and it could take up to 60 days. Smh ridiculous. So disappointed in the customer service. If they address the issues accordingly I'll update my review otherwise, do not hire these ppl! Yes mam, you definitely moved us. A few of these were after relationship breakups, so he literally helped me move forward in life! My most recent move was from Virginia to Texas in October 2022. Ivan and Anthony coordinated my move-out from house to storage, storage unit to moving truck, and then delivery to new home. During this move, Ivan also transported my car on a flatbed trailer attached to the moving truck. Before providing estimates and scheduling moves, he would request to take a look at the old space and all items to be moved. He was also helpful in suggesting which size unit to rent when I had to put all my furniture in storage. Neither elevators, stairs, traffic nor weather would deter Quick Move. Ivan made sure that everything was transported and delivered with care and intact. Ivan not only handled moves, he had a good eye for furniture placement. When my bedroom set would not fit, he knew which pieces would look beautiful in other areas of my apartment. Before moving/delivery day, I always printed a copy of my home floor plans and designed my furniture layout. Ivan also helped my mom move appliances/furniture to and from her clinic. He even picked up a store order for me instead of my paying for shipping/delivery and figuring out how to carry the heavy purchase upstairs. In past moves, he packed my kitchen and living room into boxes, which I appreciated. Ivan is professional, reliable, trustworthy and communicates well. He identifies ways to save money and resources. He ensures that he has enough help, whom have also been reliable. He uses his time efficiently. To start, we chose Offload Moving because it was veteran owned and local.And unanimous 5 star…read moreratings! My wife and I moved from Nags Head NC to Chesapeake--a move of about 60 miles. We moved July 14-15, with an added day of the 16th because they didn't have enough room im their truck on Day 2. From the start the young men, who were very polite, told us they were undermanned. They also told us after day 1 the estimator (who visited our house beforehand) was way off on how much they had to move (this after we left a washer and dryer originally set to be moved). Two of the group also told us they were 'new' on the job. On Day 1 we noticed they were packing rooms as individuals instead of working in teams. On Day 2 the same occurred--one guy would start a room and another would finish. In almost every room something was overlooked and we had to find someone to go back and finish. Day 2 finished at 11 pm in Chesapeake with a hurried unloading and little time to put boxes in the correct rooms. Why? Because only two of the guys (Gavin and 'Washington Commander') bothered to put detailed descriptions on boxes--just a number. Two days after the move our Realtor in Nags Head called to say an entire kitchen cabinet of pots and pans were left behind. The manager called us to express her concerns and showed up at the destination house later. We told her the guys worked hard and 'stuff' happened. When we found out about the pots and and pans, I left On Friday, after we found about the pots and pans, I called their office and left a message to speak to the owner, Briar Baughman to call us back just to talk. We left a polite message saying we wanted to express some concerns. I called again the following Tuesday and was forwarded by the office to Briar's cell phone. No response. My wife called Wednesday and was told she would get a call back. Didn't happen. Same Friday, except instead of a call we received an email telling us they took no responsibility and by the way, 'your window for claims is closed'--something we had not even mentioned. A summary of issues: A two day job turned into 4 days and still things were left behind. The owner nor anyone else refused to call us. On Day 2 the last boxes unloaded were soaked and Gavin said the truck had leaked somewhere. Old books, a family Bible, and other items were soaked and ruined. Cords were not packed with items--we still can't find cords for appliances, printers, stereo equipment. Boxes were not labeled. Or totally mislabeled. Towels were books. Books were electronics. The glass on our laser printer was smashed. Small pieces of items were removed and we can't find them. Items from the same room ended up in boxes mixed with other rooms. Small fragile items were carefully wrapped, then placed at the bottom of a box and crushed or broken. The list goes on. Hell, they even left their company iPad here and haven't come to pick it up even after we called the driver the same night. I rarely rate any company this poorly. Check my reviews. But I have zero desire to talk to the owner now for any reason. Time to move on.
