    Razor blade that was left on drivers seat.

    Do NOT go to Patrick Hyundai in Schaumburg. Go to Castle Hyundai in Downers Grove instead. Even if it's a longer drive, it will save you time, money, and stress in the long run. On 12/1, I brought my car to Patrick Hyundai after it wouldn't start. I paid over $1,200 for a 50K-mile service and a new battery. The very next day, my car wouldn't start again. Multiple calls went unanswered. After days of towing delays, poor communication, and no loaner car, Patrick Hyundai claimed the issue was engine wiring. When I finally got my car back on 12/10, they had left loose cables inside and an uncovered razor blade on my driver's seat. Two days later, on 12/12, my car shut off while I was driving on a four-lane highway. It was terrifying - my head hit the steering wheel. I had it towed to Castle Hyundai in Downers Grove, where they identified that Patrick Hyundai had improperly installed the battery cables. Castle fixed the issue, treated me with care, and returned my car washed and ready to go. As of 12/19, Patrick Hyundai has still not refunded me or responded, even after I filed a complaint with Hyundai USA on 12/12. Patrick Hyundai prioritizes profit over safety and customer care. Save yourself the stress and go to Castle Hyundai instead.

    Final Update: After dealing with the general manager, the problem was resolved and they offered me a brand new car. Despite the issues prior, I am very happy with my new car and it's even better than the original I was offered. The swap was very simple and they made it as quick and easy as possible. Balancing out the good and the bad with my rating.

    Purchased a modified 07 Volkswagon GTI from Max at ECH Motors. The car was very clean and appeared…read moreto be in good working order on our test drive. We purchased the car the next day and drove it 40 min to Aurora. The car stalled upon exiting the tollway. It started but continued to stall at every stop. We called Max (our salesperson) and he apologized for the inconvenience. He advised that he was leaving town and that he would address the problem when he returned. I assumed that meant the dealer would help rectify the issue but instead we were told that we drove the car off the lot and that they would not offer any assistance to fix the car. My son spent $9230 on a car that would not make it home without stalling and we were told "sorry but we can't help you...we only made a few hundred on the car". If we had known this I would've towed/returned it to the dealer that night and got my son's hard earned money back. I have no problem with Max...he seems honest and is a nice enough guy. My issue is with the dealership not standing behind their product and not supporting their customers. I get it...it's a used car, but at the very least it should get you home without breaking down. Bottom line...if you purchase a car from EMH you are on your own. Don't expect any customer service after they get your money...even if it's an hour after you give them the check.
