The first day we took her, I'm not going to lie I was a little concerned because, it was her first day and she was with two other kids that had been going for a while based on them knowing the instructors already. The instructor right away started dunking her into the water and to be honest, that caught me and my little girl off guard. When class ended, I decided to give the instructor the benefit of the doubt because he knew what he was doing. We kept taking her and explained how she had never been in swimming or anything, her instructor Joss is amazing. She builds rapport with the kiddos right away and at least in our experience, she changed my mind about taking her any more. And my daughter now actually loves going. It took us a minute to find the right instructor, but once we met Andrew it was apparent my son was in good hands. Andrew (or "Coach", as my son likes to call him) understands my son's sensory needs and ADHD and uses that knowledge to keep him simultaneously safe, engaged, happy, and progressing as a swimmer. Andrew always has something positive to say about my kiddos progress while also noting areas that he wants to see improve/work on over the next series of lessons. My son likes to know what's on the agenda for each day and when it's a swim day he always whispers a little "yes!" to himself. I know that joy and confidence comes from the fantastic work that Andrew puts into each lesson. My kid looks forward to being at swim because he looks forward to being in the water, and especially, spending 20 minutes with Coach Andrew. Waterworks is a happy, inclusive space, and if you get to schedule your lessons with Andrew your kiddo will be just as happy and safe as mine. She was very kind and graceful as I navigated the app and many schedules of the household over the phone. She thoroughly explained the current promo they have going on right now and ultimately got us all signed up for what we needed. We had our free trial class with Chris last week and I was so pleased with how friendly, soft-spoken, and patient he was with my son. My son didn't even want to go into the water for the first 10 min of the 30 min class, and Chris just continued to ask if he was ready, all the while still holding lesson and staying attentive to the other child who was in the same class. After just six one-hour lessons with Nicole, everything changed. In the very first lesson, she taught me how to float, which immediately helped me feel much safer and more comfortable in the water. Over the next few lessons, she taught me breaststroke, freestyle, and backstroke. More importantly, Nicole completely changed the way I feel about swimming. I used to be afraid of the water, but she helped me feel safe, relaxed, and confident. Now I actually look forward to swimming. Jessica is a wonderful instructor and just has her way of teaching a baby infant survival skills. The pool has never been crowded, there's a lot of space and you get undivided attention. This was a big factor in opting for them over Aqua-Tots (my child was too distracted as there were so many children and so much going on). Having the restrooms and shower facilities is convenient. They also set up a changing table and small tents as an option. The entire staff is wonderful and professional- Margie, Aleena, Sophia and the instructors Jessica and Sasha.
