We drove a few more minutes because of the reviews and it was completely worth it. Best diner of the trip. Service was fabulous but the food was excellent! Quality, Taste, and Huge amounts. We started with the crab and mushroom app, chicken empanada, and veg soup. 4 words, "melt in your mouth." Next the entrees were just as flavorful. The turkey burger was flavorful, moist, and Not gamey. Most excellent. The turkey platter was wonderful as was everything else. When we find our way back North, this is the stop!!

2 eggs over hard bacon hash browns and pancakes. Pancakes very good. Portion plentiful.

Friendly clean diner. It's a diner. Like a train car diner. Its cute. Staff is accommodating and coffee was fresh and hot. Food was lukewarm and not hot. Our group ate the following meals. 2 eggs over hard. Bacon Hash browns and pancakes Hamburger with fries coleslaw and pickles Chicken pot pie which came with a side and pudding jello or ice cream. Got the rice pudding to go. It was fresh and very good. Pancakes were very good. Hash browns good. Meal Could have been hotter. Hamburger was good and price is very good it is a great value. Chicken pot pie was ok. It was meh. Rice pudding fresh and good. Would return and try other meals. Good amount of menu options.

Waitress name was Denise, she was so friendly and attentive, I ordered T bone steak mid well it was on point flavor and all potatoes were soft the coffee don't know what brand , but it was delicious. My husband had the deluxe steak sandwich, he said it was less meat on steak mostly bread. But my food was on point. Lol

Visiting family and we got there super early so we decided to stop here for a quick breakfast. Essentially we ordered breakfast meals. I had pancakes with bacon and my gf had a ham, egg and cheese on an English muffin. The food was good but it's not like you can really mess up the order. I was not happy with the bacon it was a bit over cooked. I am not a fan of the overly crispy bacon.

Humongous Reuben and French Fries. Side of coleslaw and Russian Dressing with pickle.

I love Pat's. A long-time true diner in Trenton. Huge portions for the price. Extensive menu.

Recently, I rounded out Mercer County by going to my last diner (as of now) in the County. Even though it's one of the smaller counties, it is the first county I've completed. I arrived on a Sunday around brunch time and it wasn't overly crowded. I was hungry and happy to quickly get a table. Atmosphere: The diner looks like a locals favorite. It's fairly big with plenty of booths, tables, and a full length bar. The booths are cramped and I felt like I was sharing my meal with everyone. Coffee: The coffee took a while to get to us but once it did; it was one of the better coffees I've had. Food: Pat's Original Diner has many different options from breakfast, to lunch, and dinner. They don't have a lot of healthy options so if you're looking for that, this might not be your stop. I have been twice now and the second time I decided to order the French toast and Taylor ham. The French toast had cinnamon baked in which I definitely appreciated. It was light and fluffy. The scrambled eggs and Taylor ham were both good. Service: The waitress was nice but she didn't come around much. I could have used a lot more water and refills. M Overall/Summary: In all, Pats Original Diner started off rough but it did get better.

This is only one of there great dishes witch is Rigatoni Vodka

It's a small diner that has been there for over 100 years the food is great but the best part of it all are the owners John and las the are the best of going. First if one of the see you with a empty cup next thing you know you have a full cup in the next minute. They are so sweet. I one hundred percent recommended this diner if you are passing by a a little hungry

Me and my significant other really enjoyed the hospitality and customer service... Amazing Food!!

From the get-go, the staff is very kind, respectful, and quick to take your order. I got the cornbread, which, at similar restaurants, is typically free as a courtesy, but here it was $3. The cornbread was great; I'd give it a (9/10). Shortly after, our food came as I had ordered the fried chicken entree, which came with baked mac and cheese for an extra $2. From the bite of the mac and cheese, it came out really good; I enjoyed the crust and seasoning, and I would definitely order the mac and cheese again (10/10). I would give this restaurant 5 stars if only the chicken had come out better. It had a good crunch, but the taste was honestly pretty bland. I wanted some juice from it, considering it was dark meat, but it was also fairly dry. It wasn't the worst fried chicken I've ever had, but it definitely didn't make the list (5/10). All in all, this place was a good experience. The staff was nice, the wait wasn't long, and the portions of the sides and food are very big. The only improvement is that the chicken needs better flavor and less dryness. 3.75/5; good.

The collards had a lil kick, but no complaints. The drinks, babbbbbbby. Get the Delta Heat, comes with a little presentation and the drank be dranking! I'm from New York, and my sister moved to Pennsylvania, so she introduced me to this spot. Now every single time I visit her, I somehow end up right back here because the food is just that good. They used to have a second location that closed, but honestly, it doesn't even matter because this one was always my favorite, the food here is on another level. We always start with the Brussels sprouts, the fried green tomatoes, or the hush puppies. You simply cannot go wrong with any of them. The appetizers are always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. And then there's the mac and cheese... absolutely to die for. Even the children's mac and cheese is ridiculously good. Creamy, cheesy, comforting, exactly how mac and cheese should be. Their salads deserve their own shoutout too. The goat cheese salad with pickled eggs is perfection, and the Caesar with cornbread croutons? Genius. It's the kind of detail you don't expect but end up craving every time you think about it. But of course, the real star of the entire place is the cornbread. Truly heavenly. They serve it warm, and the whipped butter melts right into it, it's honestly dangerous how good it is. I could eat the entire dish by myself without hesitation. The service is always great, quick, friendly, and welcoming. It's one of those places where the vibes feel just as good as the food tastes. On weekends, it does get packed, so making a reservation is probably a smart idea. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the consistency, everything hits. I will always come back whenever I'm in the area, and yes... mostly because the cornbread is truly that good.

Portions were huge, so we took plenty home for our group of three adults and a toddler. Everything was slightly spicy, super crispy, and absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and on point from beginning to end. They do take the dress code seriously, I saw people get turned away for athletic wear. It's clear on their website and not asking too much for an upscale night out. Prices weren't ridiculous, especially since portions were plentiful. A lot of people were leaving with leftovers. The specialty drinks are a bit pricey tho. The cornbread and Mac n cheese are a must order the moment you sit down to start things off. Both served in a small skillet, perfect to share. The cornbread bread was flavorful and the butter that comes on top you def want to let that melt right in! The Mac n cheese noodles were a little softer than I would of preferred but the blend of cheeses and the crisp crust on top made me not worry about the doneness of the noodles, it was top notch! We went classic with the entrees - catfish with gulf shrimp. The catfish was cooked perfect super tender and flaky. I wasn't thrilled with the shrimp, for "gulf shrimp" as they listed in the menu they were a lot Smaller than I expected and a little tough. The sauce they came in was nice. I would have liked some kind of sauce on the side for the catfish. The collard green rice was delicious and the broccoli that came with it was prob the most delicious broccoli I've ever had, just cooked well in lots of butter! The other entree we got was the fried chicken. Really delicious and tender. It came with a sweet potato side that was yummy and a classic collard greens Even tho we were stuffed we had to try the bread pudding, it was served with a Side of delicious ice cream. We went on Easter for brunch, which we decided to do last minute and they let us know they could squeeze us in. We sat on the screened in patio. They were massively busy, but the staff was on their toes, checking in, taking away empty plates, being very kind (even though they were clearly crazy with how busy they were). We started with the Brie stuff pretzels. They were more like pretzel sandwiches (pretzel sticks cut in half with Brie in between), but were really tasty. It was all so good, I kept forgetting to take pictures until after we had already dug in. The pretzel app came with 4 pretzel/brie sandwiches. We also got the spinach an artichoke dip. It came with a nice amount of chips (hate when they give you too few and then you're just left with gobs of dip and nothing for it). It also came with salsa and sour cream, which seemed odd, but was nice for the extra chips and also family friendly if the dip didn't appeal to kids. The dip itself was really nice, it didn't taste as rich as spinach and artichoke dips often are. I could really taste the spinach, but in a good way. Usually dips like that make me feel overly full and are so heavy, this was a refreshing take on it. We got the Dutch baby pancake, the kids Mac and cheese, the pimento cheese and ham omelet (which I got scrambled), chicken and waffles, and the hot honey chicken. Overall, the food was delicious. The flavors all had depth and were really satisfying. We came home with lots of leftovers and we were all very happy when the meal was done. We will definitely be going back.

It takes familiar dishes and presents them with a bit more care and a bit more intention. You taste that difference almost immediately. The food doesn't just satisfy; it reassures you that it was made thoughtfully. Of course, that level of care comes with a price, and you feel it. But in most cases, the quality justifies the cost. You may hesitate when ordering, but not when eating. The undeniable centerpiece is the Bulleit Burger. It's rich, balanced, and memorable in a way that lingers beyond the meal. If you're ordering from Southern Table, it feels less like an option and more like an obligation. Most of my experiences have been through takeout, which has held up well. Still, dining in offers its own appeal. The space is large and comes with an easy, welcoming energy that works well for a casual night out. Highlights: * Bulleit Burger * Elevated presentation and ingredient quality * Consistent execution across visits Lowlights: * Pricing is on the higher side
