Few weeks ago, literally brings fried plastic in the hash browns, I called the restaurant they didn't care, I went with the food to their restaurant and it was worse they didn't care at all, they lost a frequent customer. It only occurred to me recently that I'd never said a proper thank-you. That's shameful. That's like borrowing your neighbor's snowblower all winter and forgetting to nod at them come spring. Perfection is the business of angels, and diners are run by people: gruff, charming, overworked, underpaid people who know the power of a hot turkey sandwich in a cold world. And God bless them for it. The daily specials are the real poem here. You know how people used to say, "You can't beat the value"? They stopped saying it because there's no value left in anything. But then Broad Street Diner waltzes in, swinging a Cajun meatloaf platter like a peace treaty, and suddenly I'm eating like it's 1993 again. The economy may be a flaming zeppelin plummeting into the sea, but somehow these folks figured out how to serve a full dinner: entree, soup, salad, dessert, the whole shebang, for less than the cost of a movie ticket and a bottle of water. I've had their fried clams, their fish and chips, their crab cakes, and each time I think, "Yes. This is civilization." Is it fancy? Hell no. But it's honest. It's generous. It's warm in all the places the news is cold. Do yourself a favor: stop pretending you're above diners. You're not. None of us are. We're all just scrambled eggs in the cosmic skillet. Excellent value for your $$$. Truly! I'm comparing to other local venues. If you see my other reviews on diners, you will know. I had a burger (medium rare) with fresh tomatoes onions lettuce. All excellent! Service was wonderful. Portions were ample and there were no games with refreshment refill limits like another place in ewing I've gone to. My waitress was awesome. In fact, all the waitresses give off good vibes! Attentive friendly and professional. The location is very nice. No real issues to share. I need to return to try other dishes to really assess the 5 star potential. I just can't go there right now. 4 stars is excellent, nonetheless. read more

I ordered the 2 eggs with a side of meat and they forgot my scrapple and a whole tons of home fries I even ordered home fries bc the meal didn't come with it. This is usually my go to spot for breakfast, but idk ‍ how they can forget the scrapple since it's listed in the special as 2 eggs and choice of meat, and I was sooo looking forward to my scrapple and eggs. our last two trips to this diner have been completely disappointing and I will not be going back. dry fresh roasted turkey with white gravy that was clearly pure fat flour and water and completely tasteless. Cold soup and side dishes , Waitress had to come back to table trying to trust her memory by not writing down orders..waited on others after not attending to our needs. First time here. Food was pretty good, but service was not. Two tables who sat after us got their food before us. Our server took our order twice and the second time, she said the food was almost ready she just had to "make sure" that she put it in correctly. I don/t know what is happening to the Broad Street Diner but it was not good the last two times we went. First we went to breakfast and I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak Omelet. The waitress delivered the omelet without any steak on it. The chef forgot the meat. About a week later we went there for dinner and I ordered the Broiled Seafood Combo. The waitress delivers me Broiled Crabcakes. After waiting ten more minutes, the Broiled Seafood came out and the seafood was terrible. It smelled fishy and had little taste. My wife had a Julienne Chef Salad with little to no lettuce in it. This diner used to be very good but it has really gone downhill lately. We are done! read more

This is the second time Broad Street Diner sent me something other than what I ordered. I order the fried seafood combo via Grubhub. It's supposed to come with scallops, shrimp, flounder, clam strips and a crab cake. My order was delivered with two crab cakes and the sides I picked. Not what it was supposed to come with. WTF, that's not what I ordered and paid for, nor wanted. Grubhub gave me an adjustment, thankfully, but I wanted what I ordered not what they decided to send me for whatever reason. This is our go to ordering spot for breakfast because it is always good and always ready very quick! They are always busy when I am picking up, which to me is a great sign, and I have never waited long to be acknowledged for picking up either even when they are busy. Just went for the 1st time. It was pretty good! The French fries were great asked for extra crispy. And I like my chicken salad sandwich. I wasn't too much of a fan of the beef barley soup- it was more tomato base than beef broth. But the shiner of the meal was the amazing carrot cake!!!! Omg no nuts which was such a smart decision we thought of them. The flavor and icing was so delish! My son was super happy he was able to try it. I would have bought the entire cake if I could. The last few times I have come here, I have noticed the poached eggs on my eggs Benedict to get smaller and smaller. Today, one was pretty much nonexistent (see photo). My mom's toast was also stale. We've ordered delivery from here several times. Back in 2021 I wrote a 2-star review. We've ordered from there several times since then and it had gotten better. But not today. The mashed potatoes were runny, tasted like instant and no gravy. The beets had carrots in them and were disgusting. The stuffed green peppers had a very weird flavor. The bean soup was good (they always have good soup). I know I said two years ago that we wouldn't order from there again. But we did and it was good for a while. The last few times it wasn't great but I believe in second, third and fourth chances. I am done with them. read more

Not great. Came here for breakfast and sat at the counter. One of the staff was on a break and was leaning over the counter directly in front of me eating a soup. Awkward! I ordered a farmers omelet which was ok. I did bite into an eggshell though but I guess that happens sometimes. The place behind the counter looked messy and I had to ask for water and tabasco a few times before the server finally remembered. Stopped her for dinner. Waitress, Destiny, was wonderful. Friendly, talkative, attentive. I had the broiled crab cake special which I was reluctant to try, but they were very good. Chunks of crab. My daughter has a BLT, which had a huge amount of bacon. Boyfriend had the chicken Marsala, which was also good. We ordered the potato skins, which had a lot of bacon and cheese. None of us finished our meals. Boyfriend and I also has soup, I had chicken noodle and he had beef barley and salads. All were good. Great spot for a quick casual bite to eat. My usual order is the French onion soup and a patty melt. The soup is your typical French onion, but always tasty and satisfying. We order up our Sunday morning breakfast here almost every week. Whatever we order is either good or excellent. Pancakes, Cheese omelet, eggs Scrambled eggs or sunny side up they have all been good. We always call in the order and by the time we get there it's usually ready on the "pickup" table. Recently I went to the Broad Street Diner in Hamilton. It's only about 30 minutes from my house, however, it's taken me about 3 years to get there. Atmosphere: The inside is a lot bigger than anticipated. It's one of the top biggest diners I've been too. The outside is a very tall building. It's a big, shiny, metallic diner, but it's a clean diner. Coffee: The coffee was brewed hot. I could have used a few more refills but other than that it was fine. Food: The menu at the Broad Street diner has pretty much anything you could ask for in a diner. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner including seafood, steak, pasta, really whatever you want. I haven't had pasta in a while so I decided to order pasta with meatball. I don't think I've ever ordered that a diner. The meal was good but was bland. It could have used some sort of seasoning or maybe more sauce. It looked and tasted as if they poured a half a can of sauce on top of pasta and cooked giant meatballs on top. The meatballs were good. In all, it was a decent meal but I would probably order something else next time. Service: Our waitress was very friendly but at some points she was extremely quiet and it was hard to hear what she was saying. I felt like I was constantly asking, what? Dessert: I had been back and forth with dessert and ultimately decided to order the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. One thing unique about the diner is they have several flavors of ice cream instead of just chocolate or vanilla. I decided to go with cookie dough which was a good choice. The cake itself was excellent. It was rich and tasted homemade. The ice cream was definitely suffering from Freezer burn. It needed to dethaw for a few minutes. Cost: $ For my coffee, meal, ice cream, and cake the cost was $20 which was a good deal. Overall Thoughts/Would I come back? I liked the Broad Street diner and it was a good choice. We wanted diner food last week and decided to give this place a try again as we are not huge fans of other diners in the area. We were pleasantly surprised! Today I had the most amazing breakfast ever. I had a fabulous 8oz NY Strip steak with, hash browns, eggs over easy. Everything was well cooked and my food arrived at a timely fashion. Ordered a rueben..started eating it. 5 fork fulls, just cheese and sauerkraut. No meat. I lift up the cheese, like 2 slices of meat. I put the fork down and showed the waitress. She was not very helpful, said what do you want me to do. I paid for the sauerkraut and cheese sandwich WHICH I DID NOT EAT and left. Horrible service, horrible food. They have really cut corners. Never going back. I wouldn't if I were you unless you want an establishment that does not care if the guy in the back forgot to put enough meat on your sandwich!! I recommend this place for numerous reasons. 1) my food came out exactly as ordered. 2) the silverware was clean, as was the ketchup bottle. 3) Lauren, our server, was impeccable! Fast, courteous, kind, and a beautiful smile. 4) every seat is a booth. My only objection would be the oscillating fan blowing on me in the front seating area. But I see no reason to downgrade them as they are trying to make their guests comfortable from the heat.
