This is an upscale Italian restaurant. It had classic decor with crisp linens and glassware for the tables. We came at noon on a Sunday. They have a nice lunch menu. I got the shrooms and jalapeño pizza. I love this combination of toppings and it's rare to find it on a custom pizza offering. The pizza had a nice thin crust. It was okay, but not as flavorful as I expected. My friends loved the calamari and the veggie and chicken sandwiches. Service was great. read more

Patsy's Pizzeria sounds like a casual slice joint, but it's the classiest pizzeria I've ever visited: candlelit, white-tablecloth ambiance, and impeccable, team-style service (we had three polished servers taking care of us--attentive without ever being intrusive). Yes, the pizza is fantastic (great for dine-in or takeout), but the entrées steal the show. My standouts: a silky, perfectly balanced cacio e pepe, a light-yet-comforting eggplant parmigiana, and calamari so tender it practically melts. Everything arrives beautifully plated, hot, and perfectly seasoned. I have to say, I was shocked after reading some of the other reviews because our experience at Patsy's of Greenwich was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. I say this as a Born & raised Brooklyn girl who knows Italian food.. I'm quite particular actually. The service was incredibly quick and attentive..no long waits, no chasing anyone down. The manager even came over personally to greet us when we arrived which was such a nice and welcoming touch. You can tell they genuinely care about the customer experience. As for the food... wow. We ordered the chicken parm and the rigatoni vodka -- both were delicious and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Comfort food done right! Worst service I've ever accounted, very greedy people. Clearly knew they couldn't fit our party comfortably but since it was a large party they decided to try and squeeze us in. They had parties of four sitting at the same table that they put my party of 8. The owner or manager was unfriendly, unpleasant and greedy but I guess that's par for the course here in Greenwhich. I would strongly recommend not eating here, place thinks it's a Michelin Star restaurant but really it's a below average pizzeria that would never last in any neighborhood with half way decent pizzerias. I made a reservation for four people, three days prior to arriving for dinner. I was the first person in my party to arrive. Upon arrival, the hostess told me that she didn't have a reservation under my name, but that if I waited, then our party could dine at a table. After waiting, she came back to say that she in fact couldn't sit us at a table. Then, her boss (the manager) told me that our party had two options; we could sit separately in random seats at the bar, or we could leave. There were clearly open tables, which I pointed out, but the manager just reiterated that he didn't have a table for us. I have spent many occasions at Patsy's. I have never been treated with such resistance and hostility when I was just trying to sit down for a nice meal. When I tried to reason with the manager, he threatened to have me removed from his establishment. I'm so disappointed this happened. I will never be dining at Patsy's again. The food isn't even that great, it's just a convenient place to meet up with friends. Don't waste your time or money on an establishment that clearly doesn't care about the community it serves, this place stinks. read more

I have dined at this restaurant very often since it opened. It is easy to make a reservation, and the waiters are super friendly and efficient. I really liked the food, especially the salads and the pasta. There are some things that are inordinately expensive, but I don't eat baby calves, so I saved $58.00 on the veal chop. Ample parking out back, which is a real plus. Beware of Sunday dining. There are a lot of families with young kids, which makes it very noisy. read more

Utterly disgusting. My family and I had reservations for 8 people. We get to the restaurant and are squeezed in the back in a small table against the wall. I'm the smallest of the bunch and I was still uncomfortable. This table was the same size that another group of 4 were sitting at. Go figure. We asked to be sat at another table since it was uncomfortable all 8 of us squeezed in tight. They hemmed and hawed and finally decided to give us another table. We get to the new table and it's smaller than the one before. We try to make it work especially since we were looking forward to this place but my father is up against one corner and my brother is up against another. This place is a nice restaurant so we didn't want to say anything, but I felt that as being it is a pricey menu and we were sitting at a table so uncomfortable when they said they could accommodate us is poor hospitality. We ended up asking the waiter if there was anything they could do, he went to check, and said there was nothing. We decided to just leave because like I said before, to spend over $600 for dinner for the 8 of us while eating hanging off the table and they actually couldn't accommodate us was ridiculous. There was a table of 10 in the restaurant and they had endless amount of room. Wonder who they knew. My mom went to go speak to the manager or owner (who knows) and he shrugged her off as if he didn't care that we left. What a greedy misogynist. All he cares about is making money. The food was very good but the problem was with the service. I'm sure they were busy, but they rarely checked on us outside. I had to ask for water refills a lot and most of the time they wouldn't even come back out. That's very basic service. It just feels like they forgot about the people sitting outside. We also asked for a box for our leftover pizza and he never brought it out and we didn't want to ask again because we figured he would just keep forgetting. On first visit, I was immediately confused. why did this Patsy's abandon ship from its successful familiar pizza restaurant format and convert instead into a high-end steakhouse vibe? in keeping with that format all the waiters are male which is a little sexiat. anyways onto the food. The big issue is that there's a high bar for pizza in our town with so many excellent options are available such as Griggs or pizza post. this pizza was truly one out of 10 the dough was raw in some places and soggy in others yet chard on the crust and unevenness from somebody who doesn't know how to control the oven -- isn't working with high enough temperatures or is maybe crowding the oven with too many pizzas at once and that would make sense as this place was bustling. the salads were decent the orecheite pasta with rabe and sausage was excellent. but the pizza was totally intolerable. i won't be returning here read more

We loveddd the goat cheese pizza. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The decor is stunning and it looks great. The calabrese pizza was good but we didn't end up loving the broccoli rabe topping. The staff was working so hard but they seemed overloaded. Been there three times now in the short time it's been open. First time was with other couple at a table. We got pizzas for the table as sort of starters. They were good. I had a pasta, which I thought could have used a bit more flavor. Service excellent. Good atmosphere though, so my wife and I have been back twice to sit at the bar. Cocktails and food. Patsys is quite small. The noise level is awful and does not allow for a pleasing relaxed dinner thereby interfering with normal conversation. The food was basically OK. I would not rave about it. The linguini with clam sauce was tasteless, and chopped clams rather than fresh. The fettuccine was good again nothing special the prices are ridiculously high. $34 for a small pasta dish. We were given the check without being asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. I ordered an iitalian beer and was brought another type opened since they were out rather then asking first. We arrived at 5 PM for an early dinner on a Friday night. By 6 PM the noise was deafening. Attentive service and friendly staff but ridiculously expensive for what it is. We each had Chicken Parm with a side of pasta, which is extra and a dessert each, no cocktails. $133 before tip. Been there once, won't go back. Oh my goodness I was at a christening today. I am personal chef. I usually don't enjoy most restaurants. This place is authentic incredible. Their food is outstanding. If I could, I would give it 100 stars anybody that knows anything about incredible food would realize this is a hidden jem. Came early with reservation and promptly seated at 6:00. Food was equal to many local restaurants but higher priced. Drinks were very inconsistent, using inferior ingredients. Pizza is too doughy and agree with the person who wrote it was too sweet. They should find the pizza makers from Tierra who no longer work there. They made some of the best crust in the same kind of oven and fired a bit on the bottom. The pizza is okay but does not beat the other pizzerias in Greenwich. May come back to try other dishes.
