The fries were drenched in oil and were very shiny. The BLT had maybe two tiny slices of tomato, little lettuce, very little mayo on one side of the bread but the bacon was good. My better half had the egg and meat sandwich with sliced deli ham and half an egg. And the rag used to clean our table was dropped on the floor next to us, picked up a minute later and used to wipe down another table. Disgusting. Too much $$$$ for what we got. I ordered a ham & egg sandwich . The ham was square cut & pre packaged lunchmeat. the sandwich was cut in half the amount of egg on the second half of the sandwich wouldn't have covered a 50 cent piece. We also ordered a BLT with fries which were deep fried but raw & glistening with oil. We saw the waitress drop a cloth for wiping tables on the floor only to return to pick it up & wipe off the adjacent table with it! NEVER HAVE I EVER!! aLso never will I again... read more

Stopped in for lunch as I was passing by. They weren't too busy at noon on a Saturday. Farmhouse vibe, country music playing, singing coming from the kitchen -felt like home. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (not on menu anymore but they did it for me!) it was delicious. Sweet tea with the goooood ice was so refreshing. Fries were good but a lil too greasy, inconsistently cooked and I did not like the off brand ketchup. For the price and service I was satisfied. read more

On a business trip..got an early start..and realized I needed coffee, breakfast and lunch for later... Checked to see what was around...and this place popped up...it was 25 miles out my way but I was taking my time. About 38 minutes later I arrived to a cozy parking lot and stepped into a welcoming atmosphere. Self seating, covid restrictions in place, beautiful little tables and modern country decor..I was getting a country vibe. I was greeted by Fara, my waitress. She is on point. She got down to business and informed me some of my choices were unavailable due to covid. What was available was the Ribeye Breakfast, Steak and Cheese Sub, and the Meatloaf Dinner. I ordered the last two to go. My food was ready within two shakes of a lambs tail. I can only tell you that I ate my food so fast, I almost started on my lunch and dinner then and there. It was tasty. Potatoes were good, not overly seasoned, and were real potatoes cut by hand, shelled eggs with cheddar cheese and the Ribeye was cooked to order. Can't wait to taste the other goodies later on the road trip. If you have the time, it's good food and a welcome change on a road trip. read more

This place is in the middle of nowhere and serves diner like food. I have mixed feelings about this place. The dining area is an adult living facility mixed in with tchotchkes from grandma's house. There seemed to a lot of regulars there on a Sunday. Our table had the Sunday special, burger, and omelette. Burger and omelette were okay. My special came with a lot of food but the mashed potatoes tasted off like the milk had gone bad or tbey used evaporated milk. The highlight of our meal was the Mac n cheese and two slices of cake. Would I return? Probably not unless I am in the area and was desperate for something to eat. Hours are limited and the waitress is no nonsense efficient but not the most friendly. Walked in at around 12:30 with only three other tables occupied. The waitress informed us that they had no sodas other than Dr Pepper. When it came time to order food, half of our orders had to be changed due to unavailable items. Our food did not come out at the same time. A BLT was brought out and it was not for our table (another table ordered it) and one of our guests said he would take it since his order still had not come out yet. The food was okay, cold in spots and warm in others. The fries should not be an up charge since they tasted like the oil in the fryer had never been changed. The waitress gave the person still waiting for their food a sandwich since another table walked out after ordering. I went to pay and saw there was a sign that said "credit card machine down" which was not on the door when we walked in (no one saw the sign before out of the 5 in our party). When the waitress rang up our meal (77.50 for two burgers, two Reubens, a blt, 3 teas, a Dr Pepper and an orange juice), she made a point to say we were not charged for the "extra sandwich" we received. "Well, I hope not, since we didn't order it" is what I said. I made a comment about the credit card machine being down and she said I could talk to the owner (for what? I'm not sure) and that there was an ATM at the gas station down the street. I made a comment about having to pay too many convenience (which I call inconvenience fees since my bank charges an additional fee when using other bank's ATMs). I paid the bill and went back to our table to drop off a tip. The owner came to the table talking about how I was rude to the waitresses and they felt "threatened". Seriously? I told the owner that I was not rude, but if I had known the credit card machine was down, we would not have stopped there. She proceeded to tell me the sign was there and had been all day, basically calling me a liar. Don't stop here. Save yourself the hassle and go to a restaurant where the staff isn't so frustrated and complaining about the kitchen to do their job. Truly one of the best places I have been to for breakfast. We will bookmark it and make it a regular stop to and from Richmond. We stopped at the Daily Fix for breakfast NO DONUTS and I asked the gal how long for a sandwich she said 10-15 min?? We yelped and found Patty's a friendly greeting and a few minutes later we were ordering. We bought a latte (feeling sorry for Daily Fix) and Patty's graciously let us bring it in. We ordered the slam and a country ham breakfast I KID YOU not it came in less than 8 minutes made to perfection. The eggs made exactly as we ordered, the fried potatoes ample serving and seasoned well. $22 for two breakfasts? Wonderful! Thank you for a great experience. I went here with my mom once because we wanted breakfast. Once we got sat down, I was immediately thrown off by the sheer amount of people gurgle coughing. Someone was always coughing or clearing their throat. All the dishes were mismatched. My chicken tenders looked like it came out of a kids cuisine microwave dinner. I think my chocolate milk had a lougie in it. I felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time. I'm not pretentious or a big snob, but this was the worst dining place I've ever been to in all 17 years of my life. I'm sorry, Patsy. read more

Stopped at Patsy's on our way to virginia beach this weekend. Very sweet staff (they even have a dog !). They were out of whipped cream for the waffles and the waitress ran out to the store and came back just in time so we could have it with our waffles Service was great and food was even better. P.s. About 6 miles off of 64 heading towards VA beach when we discovered this detour. Like the previous review said, we expected this to be a small town version of Cracker Barrel but it turned out to be so much more! Friendly and accommodating staff. We shared "The Slam" which was a mixed platter of eggs, biscuits and gravy, home fries, and sausage links. The eggs were cooked to perfection (we ordered over easy), potatoes had a great balance of crunch and chewy, biscuits were nice and fluffy unlike most places where it's dense. Kiddo had a sausage wrap which she loved and destroyed in be time. Also got a half sweet/half unsweetened tea to go which was also delicious. Overall, it was so much more than what we expected! We did not leave feeling like a grease bucket! read more

My family and I was in the area for a family reunion and we came here on Sunday for breakfast amd it was the worst ever. My potatoes had a long black hair in it, I ordered a Western Omelet with no veggies and when I sent it back they sent it back out with uncooked cold veggies. The extra onions on my potatoes were old and nasty. My cousin toast was molded, my son's plate never arrived and the coffee was watery and nasty. Sent here from Ed Allen's Campground for a good country breakfast- and they were right! I had the Patsy's Slam with Biscuit and Sausage Gravy, 2 farm fresh eggs over easy two thick slices of bacon and 2 country sausages. I opted to substitute grits for the fried potatoes which good too. Service was friendly and efficient. The place is super clean too. Place must be good - seems everyone knows everyone as there is a LOT of cross-table conversation. This is a good wholesome place to come eat that I would recommend to anyone!!! read more

9:30 on Sat morning and a young blonde opened the door for us and told us to "seat yourselves where you like!" That is the best of this review. Another couple and a single gentlemen arrived and both received coffee and placed their orders. The waitress walked past us no less than 8x over the next 15mins...never acknowledged us, even eye contact. WTH? A woman with dark hair came I to the dining room from the kitchen and warmly greeted the single gentlemen with nary a look in our direction as she walked by. We walked out with never having a single interaction with anyone while seated. The great news is we drove 10mins to Honey Butter's for breakfast. I stopped in when on a road trip and traffic was taking the fun out of things, so it was a very late lunch (or very early dinner). Opted for a simple omelette, which was obviously made on a flat-top griddle, not in a pan...the darn thing was so thin the egg layer was masquerading as a crepe. Bacon on the side was fine. Was charged for toast that I thought was included, but I may have misread the menu. The young waitress was very earnest and pleasant, and made the stop a pleasant interlude. read more
