Chipped Beef Gravy on toast with scrambled eggs and grits
    Andrew D.

This is one of our favorite spots for breakfast or lunch! Today, we took our daughter and son-in-law for breakfast. Busy, but no wait. Terry was our super friendly waitress. Great menu that hits most all desires! Tropical mimosa made me feel like I was on a beach on St. Somewhere while it was actually 20 degrees outside. We got French toast, a breakfast burrito, the chipped beef gravy special and one of their amazing omelette options! All were delicious! We enjoyed each others' company and never felt rushed to leave. Definitely check them out!! #deitzeatz

First trip to this location, although we have been to their Tuano location. This one is a little smaller, but busier and newer (or at least fresher looking). Decor was pleasant and as a marked improvement over the other location, no carpet to be stained and hold odors! Today we had: The Lumberjack - omelette made with potatoes, bacon, sausage, ham & cheddar cheese & choice of Toast (English muffin in this case). And a Breakfast Burrito - Ham, Scrambled Eggs, Onions, Peppers, Cheddar Cheese. Served with a side of Sour Cream (passed on this) & Salsa added Avocado for $2. Both were very well-sized and filling. Nothing fancy. Just good food at a reasonable price for what you receive. Waitress was very pleasant, polite and friendly, and she was prompt and efficient without being too intrusive.

Had an excellent experience eating here for Williamsburg restaurant week. Food: Chicken and dumplings were delicious! Salad was also good, not the biggest fan of their ranch (too much dill)) and too many onions but was able to pick them off. Chocolate cake that came with the restaurant week meal was very good! Husband has their club sandwich with fries and it was also very good! Our server that night was extremely sweet and kind. Will be back!

Love honey butters kitchen!! It's located in a strip mall next to crumbl cookie and Publix where parking is plentiful. This is one of those diners with just really good and simple comfort food! I got the lumber jack omelette with all the meats and a side of french toast to share. Both were great, but the French toast was hands down my favorite. Service fast and friendly. I'll always come back when in Williamsburg!

The food here was pretty good. I got the shrimp and grits and the shrimp were cooked well and the grits were very saucy. It did get a bit loud and cramped after a while, so maybe come earlier in the day. Despite how busy they were, the servers were fast and friendly, checking on us periodically.

Great spot ! Fried apples are more stewd then fried! Chicken fried steak was good. But! small! As they grow I can see the les attention of detail. They are still the standard! Great service ! Love the brunch atmosphere!

We went to Honey's on a Sunday around 10:45 am. We waited about 20 minutes and were seated at the bar. I previously was here on a weekday and there was no wait time. I had the tropical mimosa and my partner had the Irish coffee. Both were very strong and a great deal for the price. I ordered the corn beef hash, my partner had the breakfast sandwich. The corned beef came w garlic potatoes which were amazing. The beef itself was not overly salty or runny, which I appreciate. The breakfast sandwich was surprisingly light, and very filling. On a previous visit I had a blueberry pancake, scrambled egg whites, and turkey sausage. The pancake in itself was very filling. My egg whites were super fluffy, and very enjoyable, the turkey sausage was definitely a frozen sausage patty, which is to be expected and tasted as such. Our server at the bar was as engaging as we wanted her to be. She made the experience and ambiance feel warm and welcoming. I did notice that the bourbon and alcohol selection was good. It's nothing overly special or specific, but it's good enough that most folks will find something they like. Honey's is certainly a place we will be back to.

3.9/4. One of the better breakfasts/brunch we had in VA for sure. Our servers name was Kiara and she was great. Food took an average amount of time to come out even with it being 10 people. Food was good. My brother wanted me to let everyone know the catfish was and I quote "bussin." So only two critiques. One, was that my buffalo chicken wrap was wrapped in away in which I did not get a bite of everything as I ate it. (Ex: the lettuce was on the left, onion middle, the chicken on the right.) It needs to be slightly more...well wrapped? Second, I'm assuming it was the manager from the way everyone reacted to her, but she was not pleasant. There were a few times that our party commented on the way she spoke to the staff. And before we left she fired one of the servers on the spot! I'm not sure what happened and I won't assume. But it was sort of a spectacle and it felt very awkward and unprofessional. I've worked in restaurants and I know it can be a very high stress and chaotic environment. However, professionalism is still needed. Just something to keep in mind, but keep up the good work.

Corned Beef Hash, eggs, biscuit, garlic home fries!

Fabulous service from our waitress, Aliana; delicious food and coffee. I had the corned beef hash (delicious even though out of a can), scrambled eggs cooked perfectly, flaky biscuit, and garlic home fries. This is a great restaurant!

Williamsburg is known for its pancake houses, especially those located on Richmond Road. This Honey Butter's is located off Monticello Road and is more of a locals' place since it's away from the tourist area. We visited recently as a group of six around 10:30 am on a Sunday. The breakfast rush was wrapping up, and we were seated almost immediately. They offer a broad menu of breakfast items, all reasonably priced with perfect portions. I prefer egg whites and was able to request an omelet made using them. It was delicious!!! One of our group ordered the eggs benedict, which came with potatoes and ham. The eggs were more soft cooked than runny, but still very good. We recommend Honey Butters if you're in the area and looking for a good breakfast.

Pancakes, corn cakes, French toast and French toast sticks, but not waffles!

Thinking of a place for brunch in Williamsburg on a Saturday, but wondering about drink options at this location?

Our memory is that regular breakfast drinks are available...coffee, juice, etc...no alcoholic drinks.

We had a 20 minute wait for a table so we walked around inside checked out the gift shop. They have a variety of jewelry, food items, and trinkets available in the gift shop. We were seated after our little wait and immediately got our drink order taken. Our server was quick to come over and also get our meal order. I ordered the Melinda's special which included a drink, fruit salad, cup of Brunswick stew, two ham biscuits, and a slice of pie. All was very good and I subbed the Brunswick stew for the chicken & rice soup! I love how the ham is nice and thinly sliced and the chocolate pie was to die for! I need to go back and try all the flavors of pie! My dining companion loved her BLT sandwich and said the bacon was cooked nice and crisp! The restaurant is located on Jamestown Road in Williamsburg in a cute building that was partly built repurposing materials from older buildings in the area, such as Carter's Grove. In addition to the restaurant, Old Chickahominy House also includes a gift shop that sells household decor items as well as pieces of ladies clothing, jewelry, coastal decorations, tea towels, and tea, among other items. It's fun to peruse the shop while waiting for your table. They serve breakfast in the morning and lunch after breakfast. For lunch, we really enjoy the Miss Melinda's Special. It starts with a little fruit salad comprising peaches and a slice of pineapple on a piece of lettuce, covered with a mayonnaise type of dressing and cheddar cheese. I know it sounds strange, but it's refreshingly tasty. You also receive a cup of Brunswick Stew and two ham biscuits. Delicious! The meal comes with a piece of pie, with your choices including buttermilk that tastes like lemon (yum!), coconut, chocolate, and a fruit pie, like cherry. Plus, you receive hot or iced tea and coffee. You also can carry out their menu items. I often order a container of Brunswick Stew and some ham biscuits for guests coming in late from out of town. It's a perfect welcoming meal. I'll post some photos too so you can Miss Melinda's Special, the menu, and the interior.

For entrees, we had the bone-in pork and the cavatelli, and both were excellent. The pork was probably one of the top five I've ever had -- cooked perfectly, with a great sauce on top and really good grits. My wife had a gin, egg white, raspberry, and prosecco drink. It tasted mostly like prosecco, so we weren't quite as impressed with the cocktail as we thought we'd be. One little tiff: there was no one sitting on the outside patio, so we asked if we could have the shaded table. They said no because of the staffing setup. About halfway through our meal, one couple came and sat at the larger table we weren't allowed to use, then decided they didn't want to sit there and went inside. Not really sure what the big deal was with that table versus the one next to it where we were seated on an otherwise empty patio. But all in all, it was a great meal and we would definitely go again!

Rocco's Smokehouse kept popping up when we searched for places to eat, so we decided to give it a shot. We weren't really in the mood for barbecue, and they only had ONE steak option, but the menu looked so interesting that we figured, why not? There was about a 15-20 minute wait, which immediately had me thinking, "Okayyy, maybe we made the right choice!" The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and had a great vibe. IMPORTANT: Navigation took us to the wrong location, so pay close attention to the Yelp directions. Rocco's is currently operating from a temporary location. Once we were seated, our waiter was right over to take our drink order. First things first--the sweet tea is MAGNIFICENT! And let me tell you what you NEED to order: Smoked barbecue wings -- MUST ORDER -- absolutely get it! Rocco actually brought it to our table and warned us that we would be hooked and he was right! I originally wanted the lump crab cakes, but I didn't see anyone else ordering them, so I took my waiter's recommendation and went with the brisket quesadillas. GREAT decision! They were juicy, flavorful, and downright scrumptious. My partner ordered Platter #3, which came with ribs, a quarter chicken, and pork barbecue. The chicken was his favorite--he could not stop talking about it! You could really taste that smoky flavor in the meat. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good too. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by Rocco's. We went in craving steak and left talking about smoked wings, chicken, brisket, and barbecue! Would I go back? Absolutely! And next time, those crab cakes are getting ordered! #WilliamsburgVA #WilliamsburgEats #VirginiaFoodie #RoccosSmokehouse #Foodie #YelpEats #BBQ #FoodReview #VirginiaRestaurants
