    Fried Gyoza
    Joelle C.

We ordered via GrubHub and delivery was within 30 minutes from the time we ordered. Food arrived hot and well packaged. We couldn't decide between the fried gyoza or crab wontons so we went with both. They both came with a spicy duck sauce which was delicious. Both appetizers were hot and cooked perfectly. They were both very good but if I had to choose one for next time it would be the fried gyoza. We both got chicken pad Thai as our entree. The hubs got his spicy level 2 while mine was zero. lol Good portion size, good amount of chicken and even though mine wasn't spicy, it had a really good balance of sweetness as sometimes they can be overly sweet. This is definitely a place we will order from again when in town. The only "negative" is that we couldn't order sushi as part of our delivery but it wasn't a deal breaker, just wanted to point that out for others considering sushi and delivery.

    Curry Noodle Soup

The Curry Noodle Soup is my go-to feel good soup!! It is very rich and flavorful. I discovered it originally using Uber eats when I was sick and I'm so glad I did!! I come back for this soup all the time!

Shrimp Tempura appetizer - this was so light and delicious - not at all greasy.

We were headed to one venue to have drinks but found them closed upon arrival. Figured since we were right there, it was time to try this place we've always been hearing great things about. A GOOD DECISION! I was with people who only dined on meat and potatoes as a rule but were forced from their comfort zone. They BOTH found they did not just like Thai food, BUT THEY LOVE it! (We've already been back since the initial visit!) Comfortable seating without anybody feeling cramped, a wonderful (I'm guessing husband and wife) host and hostess, and hands down delish Thai and sushi rolls. The cocktail prices are reasonable as compared to other venues along Coleman Boulevard. I believe a glass of white wine was $8 and a bottle of Singha was $6. The appetizers we ordered were also more than enough for 3 people: the Curry Poppers and the Tempura Shrimp. If I'm honest, next time we go, I'd like to order a bunch of appetizers and just do a mini happy hour, maybe split a Pad Thai. The portions are plentiful. One of our party went sushi all the way. He ordered two rolls: a Sea Dragon and then a random classic roll, which he said was very good but paled in comparison to the special Sea Dragon Roll. We enjoyed Panang Curry and an order of Sweet and Sour. We added chicken to the Panang and pork to the Sweet and Sour. There were no leftovers of either dish because they were just that good - nobody could stop eating despite us running out of rice! We have already returned once since the initial visit, so it was high time to let others know about it. Highly recommend AND highly recommend arriving early enough to secure a table as they filled very quickly once we were seated and began ordering. The space isn't necessarily small, but it's also not big. I feel like focusing on a few tables at a time is why the food is superior to restaurants with more seating. We also noticed what would turn out to be "regulars" popping in, sitting, and their food arriving without any order taken, so it told us all we needed to know!

    Green Curry

Takeout! I ate this a few hours later and the noodles were still good! Green curry with tofu: The curry itself was actually very delicious. Tofu is not fried just a regular cooked tofu. There are big chunks of eggplant in here but not enough in my opinion. The meal itself was a large serving. The spice scale is pretty accurate, not skewed at all. I suggest going what number you usually get at other restaurants. Complaints: I personally do not have one. However, one of my friends had hair in her Pad Thai. Also, my other friend ordered Basil Eggplant, and she wished that she had more eggplant in her food as well. They were both pretty satisfied with the flavor of their dishes though. Overall, 8.3 out of 10.

Great sushi!!!! I am so glad they brought it back! Spicy Udon is one of my favorite meals as well.

    Spicy Salmon Sushi

When I first came in the welcoming was exceptional. Immediately as I sat down I noticed the ambiance of the restaurant. It was very calming and the music playlist was pleasant. There were TVs on the walls for any sports fans and there were paintings on the walls that resembled waterfalls and big blue oceans which were lovely to observe. Overall a very calming setting. I sat down we looked at the menu and chose the Curry Noodle Soup along with the Spicy Salmon Sushi. The dishes came in less than 10 minutes. Both were a delightful experience but the Curry Noodle Soup really took the plate. It was a regular red milky curry base with egg noodle, chicken, and several yummy spices. The sushi had a flavourful sauce and was great but nothing that special. The only thing that could be better were the prices, they were ridiculously high but they were on the pricier side. Overall the food was delicious, vibrant, and diverse. I would definitely come back if I had the chance!

Solid Thai restaurant (I have not tried their sushi) halfway between Patriot's Point and Shem Creek offering generous portions at a reasonable price. We stopped by recently for an unplanned dinner visit. The ambiance is an odd mix of Japanese lanterns, classic Hanna-Barbara cartoons on the television and 70s pop. Service was snappy in taking our order and bringing out food, but oddly disappeared mid-service. However, our server moved over an additional table when he saw we were sharing family-style--a nice gesture. The food was generally good with a couple of standouts and one misstep. First the good: the Tom Kha Soup was delicious. Rich, slightly sweet and just the right amount of heat, it was a winner. The Basil Eggplant with tofu was also great--spicy, fresh and balanced. The chicken Pad Thai and pork Pad See Ew were both above average and plenty for a family of four to share. The only dish that missed its mark was the Massaman Curry, which was too soupy and lacked flavor. Otherwise, a solid experience from this unassuming family owned establishment. (3.5 stars).

    Hair in my food :(
    Alexis P.

Decent pad Thai and a generous portion for sure, but not a ton of flavor plus I found a hair in my food. The staff seemed nice enough when I picked up my carry out. They're only open for carry out or delivery right now due to short staffing. Pad Thai is $15 and it is a lot of pad Thai but I was not pleased with the flavor or the hair so for that price I wouldn't say it was worth it.

As you can see this small tiny veggie roll costs $10.59, it tastes nothing special and very bland.

This place is amazing! We went during a less busy time last week and they were so detail oriented and very thoughtful! The sushi was amazing and we had a wonderful time here. If you are in town visiting and/or live here visit Tasty Thai for the best sushi!

Though usually a noodle lover, the Basil Eggplant (with tofu) will always be my favorite Tasty Thai entree! I'd had it several times before at their King Street location but wanted to try something different the last time I visited this newish Coleman Blvd. restaurant. I had gotten the Pad-See-Eu (rice noodles with broccoli, egg, garlic, and sweet soy sauce) and liked it, but it wasn't great enough to make me really want to come back (on the flip side, my dad loved it!!). However, on Thursday I dined here again and my got trusty Basil Eggplant and it was banging! Perfect amount of spice, cooked veggies that still had some crunch, sticky white rice. Just perfect. We also had the egg roll appetizer (it was a special for $3)..they were more like little spring rolls, just fyi. The service was wonderful! Plenty of water refills, very friendly and positive attitudes, well-paced, a manager walking around checking to see that everyone was pleased. They were pretty empty (only 2-3 other tables) but they do to-go orders as well which was getting some hits. I'd say, people...go try it!

"Spicy Salmon Roll." Where's the actual spicy salmon? Fish portions in the 3 rolls we ordered was pathetic.

This place is a joke! Do Not Order sushi here. Worst spicy salmon roll Ever. I posted pics.

    Tasty Veggie Roll

Hubby and I decided on Thai after quickly realizing that seafood and veggie don't mix at all. It was happy hour. We were both happy to share $5 egg rolls; hubby was even happier to enjoy a local beer (Westbrook white Thai). The tasty vegetable roll was ok (not the tastiest we've ever had). We did have to ask for extra wasabi. I really enjoyed my pad see eu. It was fantastically hot. The only hung that could have made it better was extra extra broccoli. Hubby really enjoyed his ba mee pad. His only recommendation was more veggies. A very good spot. We enjoyed our dinner quite a bit.

The food is okay, pricing is fine but the dish is very small in size. A wonton soup of 10.95 only has three chicken wontons in total.

She proceeded to take us to our table and pointed in a corner to the "coffee bar". Code for "get your own coffee cuz I'm too busy to get it for you". That shocks me this establishment would have that sort of set up with the number of elderly peeps in the Charleston area. While we were there, a wheelchair bound individual was dining. Do you think she appreciated the "coffee bar"? My husband ordered a farmhouse omelet with a side of bacon. I had the bacon-chorizo eggs benedict. Both were very good. I was disappointed that the spinach and tomatoes that topped the benedict were not sauteed-they were raw. It was still a good dish. The highlight was the cup of fruit I ordered. I don't know if it was just cuz I've been stuck in Ohio without "good fruit", but it was freaking yummy. It was a combo of blueberries, blk raspberries, kiwi, fresh pineapple, strawberries, and an orange slice! All tasty. I had to chuckle to myself while eating. The wall adjacent to where we were eating had some "black board" messages on it. One of the postings was to rent the room area for your next party. As I sat eating my lunch, I noticed that every ceiling tile was sagging horribly from the ceiling and many were stained. Do restaurant owners not realize that ceiling tiles are pretty darn cheap?? These could be changed easily after hours. This place in particular closes at 3 pm. All in all, our lunch was very good, but some details of the operations and ambience detracted from a 5 star review.

Food was alright, charged for an extra dressing and bread was as soggy as your first ex wife. For the inconvenience she offered us a free cookie which she brought out still wrapped not even warmed or on a plate. Funny thing is I was paying with a gift card from a previous messed up order where we picked up and they forgot to add the extra protein on all of our salads then when they remade the order they somehow did it again. The drinks we got were gross but she didn't ask and at this point we were over it. 71 dollars for a mediocre meal and bad service with a waitress who could care less if we lived or died. Funny after already having to give this place another shot from the previous mishap. Oh, the table next us was being served, got their food and drink before us and left before us as well.
