Chicken Pad Thai

Awesome service! The lady was so sweet and helpful. Answered all of my questions. Crab wontons weren't what I expected (the Chinese food version I guess), but they were good. The wrapper was thicker, but it was filled with a lot of crab and cream cheese goodness. The sauce was sweet and sour. Pad Thai was 10/10. So flavorful, savory, nutty, just all around a great dish. Squeezed my lime over it and it was *chefs kiss*. Shrimp fried rice was also 10/10. The shrimp are big and juicy, get a good bit of them too! They also have what appeared to be a full bar. They have indoor seating with a few bar seats and plenty of outdoor seating. Restroom inside. Will definitely be back!

Duck salad

This is mostly a take out establishment with 7 small tables for dining in. Quintessential Charleston hole in the wall. Street parking. Homemade spring rolls were tasty, fresh and a good value. Pork belly dish had a delicious sauce, rice and veggies but could have used more veggies. Also, pork belly was very overcooked and tough. Duck salad was pricey and small for the money. There was a lot of duck but the salad was swimming in too much vinegary dressing. If you order this, I suggest you ask for the dressing on the side. Lastly, everytime the door opened there was an obnoxious, loud bell. They should consider turning off when customers are eating in. The bathroom was adadequate but no paper towels to dry your hands with.

The greatest hole in the wall spot! We walked by this small restaurant and had no idea there was Thai food in this area. It was pretty empty on a Sunday evening with maybe two tables occupied, but service was super nice and the decor is so cute! A great spot for an intimate date. I came back with two of my friends for dinner on Tuesday night and the owner recognized me from a few days prior haha. We were seated and served immediately - the owner is so sweet and food came out very quickly. We ordered the crying tiger salad, pad see ew, boat noodle, crispy pork belly with rice, and tom yum goong soup. The crying tiger salad was my favorite - thinly sliced beef on a bed of onions, lettuce, and tomato covered with a sweet and tangy flavorful fish sauce. SO good and we were given plenty of steak. The pad see ew was good, great wok flavor and the noodles were delightfully chewy. The boat noodle was good, a bit sweet and I wish it had more garlic but good flavor. The crispy pork belly was crunchy with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. It was yummy eaten with the rice and the crying tiger sauce, although the chili oil on the side is spicy! The tom yum goong soup was super tangy and flavorful - great for those who like sour soups. For dessert, we ordered the mango sticky rice and the fried bananas with ice cream. The mango sticky rice was perfect! The rice wasn't undercooked, coconutty with a yummy chewy texture. The mangos were sweet and succulent - many places often have unripe or sour mangos so this was so good. The fried bananas was piled high - freshly-fried, crunchy, and sweet. Perfect paired with the vanilla ice cream. We left extremely stuffed and satisfied. Some of the best Thai food I've had in Charleston with GREAT portion sizes. I cannot believe more people do not know about this place. We will definitely be back!!!

Pad See Ew w pork

Ordered for delivery for first time and it won't be our last! Great portions that are easily shared or reheated to enjoy again. The Thai wings were moist and crunchy with a great spicy sweet sauce to dip. Fresh basil rolls were great size with lots of shrimp and herbs tucked in. The Pad See Ew with pork was worth its nickname (drunken noodles). Pretty sure this is a great cure of a dish! It was a bit oily but that didn't stop us from enjoying every last savory bite.

Yummy Pad thai and gyoza! There are a lot of options on the menu so I will be back to try other dishes.

The worst Thai food I ever had. Inedible--went right in the trash. Sorry I wasted $80 for this disgusting experience.

King Street Foods totally satisfied my Thai food cravings and then some! The drunken noodles were…read moreprobably the best I've had in the U.S.--medium spice was perfect, the chicken was tender and flavorful, veggies were crisp, and the noodles had the perfect consistency. Honestly, nothing about them I'd change--I'm ruined forever. We also got the avocado roll, which was refreshing and light, and the shrimp tempura roll, crispy, deep-fried, and just plain delicious. The service was amazing too--staff were so attentive and welcoming, checking in just the right amount without being overbearing. I wish I'd gone twice during the trip that's how much I loved it. If you're in Charleston and craving Thai, this spot is an absolute must!

The Thai Tea was made perfectly imo and was a generous portion. The Pad Thai had plenty of protein, the aforementioned excellent noodles, and just the right balance of peanut. The place is fairly large and was not very busy during my visit. Service was friendly and patient as I explored the full menu before deciding on my meal. Location is good as it seems to be in the thick of things on King Street. I'm not sure you'd come to Charleston looking for Asian food. However, if you have an inch that needs scratching, King Street Food will deliver.

We had the most incredible time celebrating my birthday at O-ku!…read more The team completely personalized my entire experience and made me feel so special on my birthday. Going that extra step certainly did not go unnoticed and something I value in a dining experience. First of all-- the matcha mocktail was a wonderful opener to our evening. We ordered the truffle edamame (our favorite), the chef's choice nigiri which was incredibly fresh, the salmon & lemon roll (a must order), and the spider roll. My partner said the mochi was the best he's ever had. We highly recommend this dining experience not only for the exceptional service but for the quality in every dish.

After looking at the menu we opted for the 6 course Omakase Menu ($150 per person) It was a phenomenal choice. Each dish better than the previous. Outstanding technique & presentation with the freshest of product. Omakase takes about 2 hrs which was perfect for us. The restaurant fills up pretty quickly and unless you want to sit at the bar (if available) book your reservation early. We parked in the visitors parking garage off of Ann St. it's very close by. Definitely check this gorgeous restaurant out.

These are 2 totally different places. So I will echo everyone else with the complaints about the service and how you're treated when trying to get take out or dine in. The only good news is the lady/hostess with the glasses is equally rude and snarky with everyone so at least you can rest easy knowing it's not just you or personal lol. All jokes aside, she really needs someone to teach her basic customer service skills and how to speak to people. She is very aggressive and comes off very rude and flat out mean. To her she may not think that and I am giving her the benefit of the doubt here because she really does lay it on really thick. It's sad too because the sushi, Hibachi, and food here is actually good hence the 3 stars. We dined in and the place was decently clean and looked okay but it was dead and empty and I can only assume it's from all of the negative reviews about the customer service. I honestly don't foresee this place lasting too much longer if she doesn't either get help or get better training on how to speak and interact with customers and I am just talking about the mere basics here of customer service nothing else.
