I got the massaman curry with tofu, and it was fantastic! I shouldn't have trusted the waitress who talked me into ordering it at spice level 2 because 3 and 4 are "crazy hot," though. I'm the type of person who needs to put ~8 packets of crushed red pepper on a meal, eats spicy ice cream, and orders things "extra spicy" frequently. I use habanero hot sauce! So I needed to add 10-12 spoonfuls of their pepper flakes to make my meal adequately spicy!

Great location, service was to be desired. It was peak dinner time and we were able to get seated very quickly. The place was pretty much empty, but the service was a bit slow. The place had a nice vibe to it with fun decor. I ordered the dumplings and a drink from the bar to start and the Chicken Panang Curry for my entree. Food was good but portions were smaller than expected. I'd go back again to try another night. I'm sure it was just an off night.

I wanted to get something quick and was craving pad Thai. This place was the closest to work so I called and picked it up within 15 minutes. I was met by the owner and she seemed to be very busy, possibly working alone. Some of the food I saw walking by looked really good from the guests dining in. I thought this was a good amount of food for the price. It was about $22 after tip. I got it medium+ spicy, and the flavor was good, the noodles were cooked well but the pieces of beef I got were pretty chewy. I do want to come back and dine in to try the other dishes some time.

Food was good. Service was also good. Not too crowded. If you want a quick-ish meal without a wait or to do take out, this is a good place for that. Nothing amazing but definitely good.

Had a great time here! Stopped in for a quick dinner. Service was super fast and the server was very friendly. Food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Asked for drunken noodles to be made vegan (no fish sauce, oyster sauce) and they were very accommodating! Would easily return in a heartbeat.

Upon entering the establishment I was at first skeptical since it was practically empty at prime time on a Friday night in downtown Charleston. There was no music playing and there was only one other group of customers in the restaurant; we could overhear their entire conversation. (At the very end of the meal they did turn music on.) The food was pretty good, we had the Pad See Eu and the Red Curry. Neither were crazy spicy but they had a decent flavor to them. I will say the best Thai food in town remains Ti-Ney Bangkok Folly (in my experience). Service was very quick and kind.

So sorry, but this is a no from me. Should have known when we walked in at near 1pm and were the only people there. Space clean and service very friendly. The food was the least authentic we've had in this area. Apps seemed like frozen stuff dropped in a fryer. The meals were overly sweet, no heat. Our server was the only bright spot and even she could tell we weren't thrilled with the food. Asked for sriracha and they brought tobasco brand, major clue!

Great food and service! Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and was surprised it was so empty! Give this place a try.

Great green curry. Nice atmosphere but the entrance is a little hidden and confusing.

We were craving Asian food and a lot of places had a wait. This one did not so we got in immediately. Was not provided a drink menu but they did have a huge bar so not sure if they were serving? The food was delicious though. Small portions as I did eat all of it. Would go back if I needed a last resort with no wait

This is the best Thai food I've had in Charleston so far and I can't believe it is not more busy. We came on a Saturday night and there was still tons of tables to sit our party of eight. The restaurant is well-decorated and servers are quick and efficient. I always order family style when I come just so everyone can try all the delicious dishes. We got the pad thai, pad see ew, coconut soup, larb gai, papaya salad, drunken noodles, and boat noodle soup. - They have the BEST pad thai - chewy noodles, the perfect sauce with just enough sweet and sour flavor, fresh bean sprouts, and protein of your choice. So good that we had to order a second plate. - The pad see ew has good flavor - I wish the noodles could have more char but the flavor is on point. - The larb gai is well-seasoned with sweet and sour fish sauce - a great appetizer to start off with. - The papaya salad is fresh and flavorful, with a skewer of shrimp on top. I would warn that we told the waitress our party had some people heavily allergic to peanuts and to take all the nuts out, but there was still peanuts mixed into this dish. - The drunken noodles are chewy with good flavor, but I'll always be more of a pad thai fan. - The boat noodles here are super savory and yummy. I don't see this dish often on menus so I always have to order it. Tons of umami and garlic flavor with rice noodles, strips of meat, and pork rinds. This definitely hits the spot. Truly the best Thai food in Charleston by far. Parking can be tough, but there is a paid parking garage right next door if you don't mind the hourly rate. Not the best place for people with severe nut allergies, but I will definitely be back!

Great food, friendly service, ambience is casual and fun. We stumbled upon this gem while looking for good Thai food. Great atmosphere, nice drinks and food.

Thaizapp opened on the location of an old Hawaiian themed restaurant and they decided the decorations which now transport you into a beach resort in Thailand. The service is great, although the food did take a bit longer than expected to come to the table. I ordered the Massaman Curry which chicken which was really good and surprised me with the addition of pineapple which usually is not present in this type of curry. I went for a medium spice level (2 stars) and it was a perfect spicy but not impossible to eat level. Great addition in the area for an affordable quick delicious dinner.

Me and my family traveled from North Carolina and had a horrible experience. The waiter Damon was extremely rude. And the food was cold .

My boyfriend and I went for happy hour and were so pleasantly surprised. I've been trying to avoid…read moretourist traps and we finally found an amazing spot with great food and wonderful pricing. First we were told to grab a seat anywhere so we sat at the oyster shucking station. The man shucking oysters (forgot his name, sorry!) was super kind and very knowledgeable and got our oysters ready in no time. I ordered 6 raw oysters and my bf got 6 oysters steamed. Due to a small mixup in the kitchen, my bf's steamed oysters came out a bit late, however they were delicious according to him. My raw ones were fresh and sooooo yummy. It was also happy hour so each oyster was only $1.50. Best price in the area!!! We grabbed some other happy hour menu items: hushpuppies, peel and eat steamed shrimp, steamed clams, and we ordered a side snow crab cluster not on happy hour. Everything was DELICIOUS. We walked out of there feeling good about the money we spent and we now have a place to go to every time we are in town. The ONLY downside was our waiter. He's lucky I forgot his name because he was awful and had the personality of a doorknob. I almost wanted to speak to the manager about him because he brought the vibe down. Horrible customer service, doesn't know how to be professional, and even when I waved goodbye saying thank you with a huge smile he just stared at me and didn't say anything. He needs a talking to because it's not that hard to be kind to others or have a little personality, especially in the hospitality industry.

Honestly, I had pretty low expectations coming in here anyways, since it is in probably the most…read moretouristy area. Overall I had a pleasant experience, which may not be reflected in the amount of stars I'm giving them. If I could do a 3.5 I would. The food was the highlight of my experience. We got the pimento cheese balls to start, which were absolutely delicious. Then I got the shrimp mac and cheese, which was also pretty good. Nothing to write home about. My drink was pretty bad, which I partially blame myself for just for ordering poorly. It tasted like tequila and red dye 40 in a martini glass. It was also lukewarm when I got it. If I'm paying around $15 for a drink, it needs to be good. As you can kinda tell by the picture, the lights in the restaurant were ON. Which isn't really a problem, but it doesn't really make for a cool ambiance.
