After leaving Gorman, we popped over next door to check out Patterson. I thought the wines were excellent and definitely "my kind of wine" as I like to say. They had quite a large selection to taste from too. The staff was really friendly and prompt with filling our glasses, we were sharing 2 tastings between the 4 of us so it didnt take long for us to drink a tasting pour. First time at Patterson Cellars and I had such an amazing experience. I came in on a Saturday with a few friends and we decided do a little wine tasting. Each wine we tried was phenomenal, especially the Late Harvest Roussanne, my personal favorite. Our server was so friendly and attentive and she actively anticipated our every need, despite them being so busy. She brought us waters mid-way through the tasting without being asked to, was very informative when explaining the wines and their flavors, and was just an all around delight! While my family and I enjoyed the visit to this winery, I am incredibly disappointed and upset since our visit. I purchased a half case of their rose to be shipped. It's been nearly a month and no shipment! I've left MANY voicemails and sent several emails and no response. It appears they've taken my money and have no plans to send the wine. I'm shocked. Update: after posting the review I received a call back and my wine was shipped right away. Thank you Heidi, I appreciate your attention. My wine arrived within days and that was great. A lot of repetitive excuses made, which I guess I can appreciate but I'd have just preferred no excuses and owning up to the mistake in the future. I upped my rating from one star to 3. Stumbled upon this winery in the heart of the Hollywood District 2 years ago and it still is one of my favorite wineries to date. I have yet to have a wine selection from here that I don't like, and everyone who I've gifted Patterson's wine to love them just as much. Staff are extremely friendly (although I really miss seeing Emma), and placing an order via email or phone is so simple during the pandemic. They have a cute outdoor seating area conveniently located right next to a great pizzeria. I could easily spend a Saturday afternoon here and know that I'll have a good night. read more

We sat on the patio with a large party of 12. The staff went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. It was 92-degrees in Woodinville the day we visited and everyone was very hot. The staff moved the umbrellas around so all 12 of us was seated in the shade. What's more they continuously brought us large pitchers of water. The wine was delicious! The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. I purchased a bottle of the late harvest. I will definitely be back. read more

Wines are good but go to the warehouse instead of this outlet. The wine guy was not friendly, non attentive and not accommodating when we decided to purchase wine. The weeks leading up to the St. Nicholas day open house out in the "Woodinville Wine Country" I received 8 bottle of wine shipped to me from my wine clubs in Sonoma, CA. I told myself I wasn't allowed to buy any wine during the event just taste, than I had to add a caveat that if it was yummy and within a certain price range I could buy something... Well I tasted and tasted and tasted some more. When I walked into the tasting room for the Washington Wine Company I wasn't too sure about the place. Than I read the names of the wine and though I LOVE them, than frowned because 9 times out of 10 when a wine has a cute label or cool name the wine itself sucks. But I was a trouper and purged ahead, first off was the '03 Forbidden Red, love the name; it was nice but nothing that made me want more. Next was the '04 Forbidden Red and this was better like the '03 its a blend but a different blend the '04 is '04 50% Cab, 30% Syrah, 20% Merlot and is a full-bodied wine layered with gobs of cassis, berry, cocoa and toasty flavors that linger enticingly on the extended finish, stolen from their notes. I was happy so I moved on to the last tasting the Big F'n Syrah! I loved, loved, loved the name all weekend I was saying how I wanted a Big Syrah and now I had my chance to really taste one. The Big F'n Syrah is 84% Syrah, 16% Cab. Aged 32 months in oak, this Syrah is led by black fruits, spices and chocolate notes followed by balance acid and toasty vanilla flavors. It is a great balance of fruit, oak and integrated tannin. Smooth, sexy and silky, a real crowd pleaser, again taken from their notes and their notes don't like it was a real crowd pleaser with me. Needless to say my wino partner and I decided to split a mixed case of the '04 Forbidden Red and the Big F'n Syrah, I mean how could we pass it up when they were offering a 20% on cases for the event and the wine came out to less than $14 a bottle. There are two Pattersons. One is in the tourist district, next to a yummy pizza place called The Station, and the other is a few miles away in the warehouse district. We had a groupon for this place and three others, but I didn't even realize that this was part of the groupon until we were one tasting in. I thought that all of the wineries For the groupon were in the warehouse district. Anyway, this Patterson had two lovely ladies that were informative and entertaining. The tasting room is comfy and the wine was delicious! We of course bought a bottle. My husband and I went to seven wine tastings by the end of our Saturday and this Patterson was easily one of our favorites. My husband and I have given it spot two, only behind St. Michelle. Go! You will not be disappointed! Then, go eat next door. read more

In April 2011, I tasted: - 2009 Barbera [$23] I really liked this wine think cherries and raspberries and oak complex at this price point pairs nicely with salmon - 2010 Late Harvest Roussanne [not yet released] one word: yum smell the lemon and dried apricots forget desserts - this is dessert I tasted the following wines in March 2011 - 2010 Chardonnay [$20]: beautiful and creamy apples and pear oak on the midpalate nice acidity - 2010 Rose [$15]: sangiovese and tempranillo so its unusual it smells of strawberries but also bubble gum a long finish - 2008 Forbidden Red [$21]: touriga, cab and primitivo grapes lovely and bright fruit - raspberry not hard to like - 2007 Syrah [$25]: this is all about dark fruit luscious mouthfeel the tannins are bold long clean finish - 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon [$32]: grapes from 3 locations i smelled baking spices the finish is a bit harsh it should benefit from cellaring read more

Stopped in towards the end of a Sunday, very glad we chose Patterson! The tasting room fairly new to the area, off the roundabout. Very nice place, not huge so I imagine it will get crowded, but a fantastic outdoor space for when the weather obliges. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, there was a very balanced selection of wines, both in style as well as price, and they release new bottlings throughout the year so you can visit frequently and get something new. The late harvest roussane has been my favorite dessert wine in a while, give that a try if you have the chance! read more

I went to this winery today with a friend and did a tasting. I purchased two bottles of wine - the Rose and the Late Harvest Roussane. I asked the waiter if they accepted cash and he said yes. He said he would print the receipt and put in the bag. He returned with a bag that looked like he had wrapped the bottles. I returned home to find that not only did he not put the Late Harvest Roussane in the bag, he did not provide me with a receipt. Luckily I have witnesses. read more

This was our last stop as part of a Woodenville Wine Tasting groupon, and our favorite of the four. Service was great and super friendly! We even got a tour of the facility where they do everything from crushing the grapes to bottling and labeling. The wines were great, we walked away with their Cabernet Franc and Syrah Syrah. They have tabs on each bottle that you could pull off and redeem a free wine tasting for 4; pretty cool deal I haven't seen anywhere else. This winery is definitely on my go to list. read more

I've now visited their newer location across the way from the Hollywood Schoolhouse twice... and both times my boyfriend and I have been blown away. Not only are all the wines fantastic, but the people working there are wonderful. We've been to many of the wineries around that area and this is by far our favorite. Great atmosphere with friendly people willing to chat and educate, nice seating area and patio next to a pizzeria perfect for sitting in the sun and enjoying dinner with wine. We purchased a case of the Due Anni and will not only be back for more date nights, but we'll probably end up joining their wine club. From their Forbidden White to Rose to Cab Franc... all outstanding and reasonably priced. The friendly staff alone makes the visit worth it. read more

Very cool spot to go taste some wine. I highly encourage you to go check this place out on Friday and Saturday between 7-9 because there is live music in the summer. Another cool thing about this place is you can order food from the restaurant next door and they'll deliver it right to you as you sip in your wine. Just a little heads up.
