Driving thru Quincy on a Saturday morning and decided to stop for breakfast. Looked like a cute place. We were seated immediately. We each ordered an Omelette from the menu and drinks. The busboy had a horrible smell of body odor. I really couldn't get past that. He also forgot our drinks and we had to ask at least 3 times. The owner turned on the air conditioner full blast (it was only 65 outside), I suspect it was due to the busboys BO. But that made it entirely uncomfortable. After asking a waitress if they could turn it down, she asked us to change chairs at our table but wouldn't turn it down. We did. It didn't help. Finally when our omelettes were delivered to our table (after 45 minutes), the owner saw us shivering and asked if we wanted the air turned off. Duh! Finally she turned it off. The omelettes were good. The service and ambience were awful. However, it was breakfast. And it was open. I'll grab a muffin and coffee from Safeway next time thru. read more

Found this place on Yelp and, boy am I glad. We needed to fuel up before a long day in the woods. You can tell the locals come here as well. Lots of choices, good portions, excellent food! Loved the baked goods. We DEMOLISHED our food. read more

Went there for breakfast this morning, what a treat. Excellent food and service, great coffee and a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Had the 2 egg & sausage patty w/ wheat toast( real and grainy, not balloon bread). Eggs spot on, more than ample patty, and perfectly done red potatoes seasoned nicely ( like Goldilocks). Drank 2 cups of coffee and they filled my travel mug for free! Wish this place was in my home town!!! read more

I really want to give it a 3 1/2 stars. It is a very welcoming place with a fire going in the wood burner. We got to choose our seating, difficult choice - fire - window? I ordered the California egg which is an egg, cheese, avocado on a bagel. I asked to have the bagel separate with cream cheese and it seemed to not be a problem. My spouse ordered the Tuscan egg which looked delicious and was very good. The reason for the 3 1/2 is I can see that mine was really meant to be an avocado sandwich with a little bit of egg and a slice of cheese. The bagel came with plenty of cream cheese, a bit much for me. Overall I would visit again with a better understanding. read more

A group of us from the High Sierra Music Festival traditionally go to breakfast together on Sunday, the final day of the annual fest. This place has a lovely, slightly sunken outdoor patio, mainly for couples and small parties, but inside can accommodate larger groups. Of course there is usually a little wait, but even with 7 of us, we waited only 15 minutes and were seated next to the window with a nice view of the patio as well as the rest of the restaurant. Everyone was friendly and the waitress brought us mango mimosa (custom made, a glass of champagne with about a shot of mango, perfect!) and took orders right away. Omlettes French Toast, Waffles, and cakes... They accommodated several substitutions without a problem. The only critical comment would be that if you wanted a side of beans, or beans were part of your meal, they only had refried, and whole beans were not available. 2 of the 7 of us cleaned our plates, but the others took some home; the portions were very generous. $98 before tip for 7 hungry folks. -- Lots more available for more lunch oriented crowd read more
