Large Caesar salad with added grilled shrimp and pine aides! So yummy
    Lori P.

So glad we tried Plumas Pines this last weekend for Memorial Day. The weather was great, the food was fresh, service was attentive and the pine aids were frosty and flowing! Can't beat the views also from the deck with one of the few restaurants on Lake Almanor. I had the large Caesar salad and added grilled shrimp and the shrimp were very good size and flavorful and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich, and we topped them off with a few Pine aids, they're beautifully colored frosty drink. Can't wait to be back.

Sat on the deck. Amazing views. About the only good thing for this place. Told it would be about a 30 minute wait when we got there. Sat at the bar. Bartender didn't even acknowledge us. She was helping others so we understood that part. Then a group of 6 people showed up just standing at the bar. When the Bartender asked which one of us were next I said us but the gal who I guess is a regular piped up and said they were. The Bartender new darn well we were there before them. So after waiting a half hour for 2 drinks neither of us liked we got seated outside. View was fantastic. Waitress got us our menus after sitting there a bit. She was nice enough. Food was ok. Not great not horrible. Never saw our waitress again until she brought us our bill. Then checked to see if we've paid 4 times in 10 minutes. 2 and a half hours total. Would only go back for the view.

Review is for the lakefront restaurant. Great view, good service. Food was good. Ordered: -Seared ahi tuna salad. Loved the variety of veggies in the salad. -Macadamia Nut Halibut. I've had better but still good. I liked the asparagus risotto which seemed unique.

Major time travel to the lakeside dining of the 1960s, down to the music, Plumas Pines Bar and Grill is a metal roofed diner on Lake Almanor with waterfront seating that serves things like baked potatoes and steak and mai thais without a hint of irony. The food is as you might expect (3 stars) and priced like fine dining. The staff is friendly. But let's just say it: those waterfront views are why you are here. Several good local beers on tap. Excellent place to enjoy a summer evening dining outdoors right on Lake Almanor. Family friendly. Call ahead to get a table with a view overlooking the water.

LOVELY! It seems to be the only WATERFRONT restaurant on Lake Almanor. Outdoor and air conditioned indoor seating with a big bar area. Wonderful local beers here. Drive up with your boat! Bunch of slips there. Super friendly lady servers today. I enjoyed their creamy clam chowder that is only served on the weekends. The calamari appetizer was addicting. A must stop and see for a meal or a drink.

Ambiance, service, were great. Food is $$$. Security is lacking. We had our Fastway e2 94-00-1000 lb. rated trailer hitch stolen during our last night there. The stolen hitch will cost us just under $500 to replace. We had to scramble over to Chester and Napa Auto to buy a hitch we could use to ge home with.

This was our first time back since the horrible fires last July. It was so nice to see the bar and tables full and the smiles on the faces of the waitresses. Our party of 6 was promptly seated at an indoor window table. All the outdoor tables were taken by reservations, but this was not a problem. Mary, our server was absolutely delightful, actually a real funny kick in the pants. We ordered the big Wagu burgers which were juicy and delicious. Our girls ordered the toasted cheese with the delicious Oates French fries. I got the Ahi salad which was grilled to perfection with a perfect blend of avocados, tomatoes, crisp greens and topped with a most flavorful sweet sesame dressing. I highly recommend Plumas Pines for early dinner to watch the sunset and then a slow boat ride home. Mary you did an excellent job.

It's now called Christy's and today's experience was awful. We arrived a little after 10 and were seated out back right away and brought menus and water. Almost 30 minutes go by as we're watching the two servers serve, seat and take orders from people - everyone except us. Once our order was finally taken, we learn they're out of bacon and sausage which is an option for one of our meals (canadian bacon and chorizo were available but we don't like either so not an option for us). While that was a bummer, at least our order was taken. Another 20+ minutes go by, and there is now another table seated just near us and the woman who seated us is bringing them drinks and menus and takes their order within a few minutes of them being seated. We hear her telling them about the special which we weren't told about. As she was walking away from them, I asked her if our server was her or the man who eventually took our order and she told me "whoever is available" is our server. I'm not sure if the person in charge is aware of the poor customer service here but a couple of other tables were showing signs of frustration, too. After waiting for another 20'ish minutes and still no food, we let our servers (?) know we decided to leave and we had a picnic at the lake with stuff we brought. Very enjoyable - I highly recommend it. On our way out, I saw the server tell the kitchen we left and everyone looking surprised. A woman was looking at me so I asked if there was someone available to listen about why we're leaving and a different woman stepped forward and listened. She offered to make it right, we told her we'd already been here almost an hour with no food so it's too late for us, but we thanked her for listening and left. We don't come this way often and I don't think we'd try again now that it's a new owner. All that said, the patio is a lovely spot for a meal with a view.

Plan on around 7:30, the crowds diminish, and the sunset is beautiful." He also said reservations are fine but not necessary. Cool, see you this evening. Returning to the B&B, I decided to research the restaurant. I found the website, and searched the menu and reservations. The website said closed, and no reservations available.I thought it odd that the information was in conflict, so I called. I received confirmation that the were open, and made a reservation. After arriving that evening, we were told we needed to wait awhile because the server was busy. We waited patiently for about twenty minutes to be seated. After finally being seated, we waited again to order. The place was very busy for a Wednesday evening. After all the waiting, I started to wonder it this would be worth it. Finally, the meals came. The food was very good as was the service. After the meal, the waitress coherced us into the cheesecake for desert. She said - if we liked - she could serve us on the patio. The sun was setting, and the weather was beautiful, so we took her up on it. What began as a question marked evolved into an exclamation mark. The cheesecake with blueberry compote was Devine. Was it worth the wait? Yes, for the cheesecake alone. If you are visiting the Mt. Lassen area, this place is a must. Barring the inaccuracies of the website, the experience was wonderful. I could rate the restaurant a four, for the error, but they get a six for the cheesecake, so five it is.

Oh wait, the lavender honey butter was also delicious. The service was not great. But our server was nice. I understand most times restaurants don't share sections, but it would've made the experience better to have someone help with our drinks or something. It was relatively busy so the noise volume was up, but we could still hear each other. The surroundings are pretty. We watched the cows and people riding horses while we waited for our table.
