The service was quick, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly, which was appreciated after a day of exploring. My only minor critique--and this is purely personal preference--would be that I would have preferred the shrimp tails removed. It certainly didn't take away from the meal, though. In fact, it led to one of the funniest moments of the trip when I squeezed a tail to remove it and accidentally launched it across the table toward one of my buddies. Thankfully, my aim was terrible, but the table got a good laugh out of it. Great food, generous portions, fast service, and a fun atmosphere. Before heading over, I called to confirm accessibility. The woman who answered not only assured me they were accessible but said she'd keep an eye out for my arrival. She wasn't kidding. When I arrived, not one but two staff members came to the entrance to welcome me and help guide me inside. The restaurant has the feel of a classic neighborhood diner, comfortable, unpretentious, and serving the kind of food that keeps people coming back. After hearing so many people rave about the pancakes, I had to try them. Paired with cheesy grits, tea, and milk, the breakfast is outstanding. Every bite lives up to the hype. My server, Kia, is easily one of the best I've had anywhere in New Orleans. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, she makes an already great meal even better.
