In the Big Easy, where there's a will, there's a way! Located in a great location off of Toulouse & Bourbon street, this spot (aka TWTW - credit to Tomas for this) is known for their gluten-free friendly options along with a cool happy hour and knowledgeable bartenders with a dash of personality and kindness. A trio of us stopped here on a Thursday in mid-August since one of us has a gluten-allergy. Fortunately we found a spot at the bar and sipped on some drinks before deciding on eats. Drinks consisted of a daiquiri and a sazerac for my friends while I went with a basic beer and shot (a paradise park lite and the well bourbon). All made/poured with love from the bartender (sadly forgot her name). As for eats; we shared the crispy brussels sprouts, the salt-n-peppa wings, and the loaded korean hot fries. All these items were excellent and perfect as shareable dishes. The brussels sprouts are fried to a crispy perfection and topped with some jalapenos and this manchego cheese sauce for deliciousness. Wings have great consistent texture and come right off the bone with a crisp bite. And the bulgogi fries; each bite made you come back to dig in for more with the bulgogi meat mixed in with the gochujang aioli topping. Absolute deliciousness! We'll definitely be back next time I'm in NOLA! Maybe save room for dessert next time cause I heard the creme brulee is a favorite here! read more

So I was trying to catch the happy hour here. Which I did catch the tail end and ordered a glass of happy hour wine and appetizer. The meat pie appetizer literally comes with one little meat pie about maybe an inch big lol. But we weren't really hungry and I was just being greedy and trying to try a little bit everything everywhere. This is a really cool bar/restaurant near bourbon street. There is a cozy outside patio that was great for accommodating our large group for a birthday dinner. Although it's a little hectic with ordering at the bar and how busy it is, food was ready quickly and the staff did a great job! The birthday girl even got a special desert. I was disappointed there weren't more non alcoholic beverages like kombucha but the food was really amazing. I had the falafel and it was served on a bed of hummus. So perfectly tender and flavorful. I also tried some of the Brussels spouts and fries, all of which were fantastic! Now I've never been a crème brûlée person, but I will say that the banana fosters crème brûlée here was TO DIE FOR. I don't know what makes it so divine but it was amazing! Also the bathrooms are out on the patio and they were such an experience! The drinks were good and the interior was really cute, but there was a noticeable funky smell inside. Luckily, they have a spacious back patio with heaters that easily accommodated our group. There's also a beautiful balcony in the back, which adds to the overall vibe, but it doesn't look all too sturdy. The bartenders were friendly and did a great job crafting the drinks. It is much better than many of the spots along Bourbon Street. As the sign out front says - "Kinda divey. Kinda not." We came around the holidays so I was surprised not too many ppl were there when we first arrived, but considering this is a very popular bar, it did not take long. First time we tried to stop in, they were closed for a private event. So we ended up next door at Peychauds. Which was a nice experience too. A couple nights later, looking for a bar to get a good drink while deciding where to go for dinner, remembered this place again and headed in. Place is smallish like a lot of French Quarter bars, but more modern looking and a trendy vibe. Complete with a chalked menu on the wall and moody lighting. Very cool place but not to the point where you feel out of place at all. Bartender very chill, pleasant, liked her immediately. The drink menu was a little intimidating but went with a vodka martini and a gold rush. The gold rush was bourbon, lemon, and honey. Sounded good, I like all those things separate but didn't like them as much all together. It wasn't bad, just not the taste I really liked. So handed that off to my husband and ordered a daiquiri. Much better. Not frozen kind. Better. And pretty! Ended up ordering two. We also decided to get an order of fries as a snack. Fries were some of the best fries we've ever had! Not sure what was all in the dipping sauce. Think the menu said it was Korean aioli. Yum! Such a simple dish you wouldn't even expect to blow your mind, but it did! So much so we were like, we're crazy not to order more food. So we ate dinner here too. Originally, we were both torn over what to try with both of us going to order the lamb birria tacos, but ended up ordering the burger and wings. Burger came with more of those heavenly fries cooked perfectly in duck fat I think. Wings were good, crispy. Burger was amazing!!! I knew it would be. The beef patty was cooked medium, full of flavor and melted into my mouth with every single bite. Not dry, not overcooked, just delicious mushy melty goodness. I loved it so much. Also tried the bananas foster crème brûlée. It had really good flavor, not too sweet, but wished the custard was a little more stiff. Overall, it was fantastic and memorable and we will definitely go back. Probably try the lamb tacos. Probably get the burger again. Most definitely will get the fries. FRIES!! I went to a fun hosted party at The Will & The Way and enjoyed both the venue and the free cocktail. I was only able to stay an hour and was sorry when I had to leave for dinner. I would have liked to hang out for a couple more rounds. It was pretty hot out at happy hour, but the patio was pleasant in spite of the heat, with a relaxed backyard atmosphere. The interior was nice, too, attractive and contemporary, with hospitable service at the bar. I was tempted by several of the cocktails but went with the Strange Bird, which I think was a spin on a Jungle Bird, with Cheramie Blanc rum, vodka, tomato shrub, lemon, cucumber bitters, and saline. It was delicious, balanced and refreshing with a pleasant layering of flavors. I also tried my friend's Mr. Lover Lover, with mezcal, chocolate, coffee, orgeat, and pineapple. This was tasty, too, and certainly interesting. I'm just not sure I would've liked the chocolate citrus combo for a whole drink. I had a good time at The Will & The Way and would love to go back on another visit to New Orleans. I finally made it to this place last weekend for my birthday weekend and I must say this is absolutely one of my favorite bars in the Quarter. The atmosphere is amazing, I loved the conversations I had with random people and the crowd that it draws in. The bartenders were all wonderful except for this one, but obviously he needs some more training on how to acknowledge people, and it did not disrupt my experience. We stopped here to kill time before our flight and sat at the bar. There is happy hour every day. I had a classic daquiri which was DELICIOUS. The bartender was very friendly. We tried the homemade pimento cheese with crackers which was excellent. I wish we had been hungrier because we definitely would've tried more stuff. No idea how we originally ended up in here. We started calling this place the corn bar because they had a bottle of corn whiskey we drank, and, well, we couldn't particularly remember the name. Now every time I'm in the French Quarter with a group of friends we go looking for the corn bar, can't seem to remember where it is, then stumble upon it all over again somehow. While in town, my coworkers and I were looking for a good place for dinner one evening. We ended up loving TW&TW so much that we went 2 nights in a row! We didn't realize that it wasn't a restaurant like we thought, but a bar that serves bar food. This is a hidden gem! We tried and loved their house cocktails and lived each dish we tried. My favorite We the brussel sprouts; there were a lot of flavors and multiple textures to this dish that elevated it for me. We also loved the Korean fries, bao buns, cheeseburger, honestly all of it. When we came back the second day, we briefly met and said hi to Josh the chef (pictured). It is bar service here and they bring your food to you. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful.
