I was visiting a friend in the area and we decided to stop by Patty's Eggnest for the first time. While my friend isn't a brunch person, he told me his wife's coworker had suggested the place to him before. After having his kiddo though, they haven't had time to really explore places like they used to. Since I love breakfast/brunch and heavy foods, we decided this would be a good place to try. Given that this was your classic brunch diner, I didn't really go in with any high expectations, just that I would have a decent enjoyable breakfast...and I was right! When my plate came out, I was happily greeted with a mountain of food with everything I would want in a classic breakfast. While the coffee was just okay, it's not something that I would typically expect to stand out anyways so I wouldn't dock a star for that. Service was also as expected, nothing noteworthy either way. Overall the place met expectations and so I would go again!

This used to be the spot. Emphasis on used to be. Came in, got on the list, gave my phone number and popped over to the Thai market next door. When we got done there I popped back in to see where we were on the list only to see my name crossed off along with several under it. Asked for someone to assist, who didn't speak English, and showed my crossed off name. She shook her head and said "no tables" gesturing to the full restaurant. I said I see that but how much longer, she said please wait. Two additional people came up to le while I was standing there and asked if I was Crystal - yes, I showed them me on the list crossed off (also side note if they knew who I was who did they give my table to because they did not call?!). Anyway a couple tables left and we were given next seating. The waitress came over promptly took our order (super nice by the way) and then we wait. And wait. And wait. We watched several people get their food, several DoorDash orders, and yet still nothing for us. It took forty...FORTY!!! minutes to get our food. On top of that the onions and peppers in the Denver omelette were essentially raw, they maybe hit a pan briefly and there were two random black beans in my wife's loco moco plate. 1/10 won't be back.

Ordering takeout from this location was extremely simple via Yelp. Our order was ready within 30 minutes, and my husband had no problems with a contactless pickup. I appreciate the updates provided as the order was being prepared. Our food was really fresh, and good.

This place is very well lighted and bright being at the corner of a strip mall. The owners have done a great job in keeping it very neat, clean and tidy... Being a family run restaurant (I think), the service is on point. The hostess was kind and hospitable... Ordered a breakfast sandwich with Wheat Bread, Cheese and eggs, thick cut bacon and O'Briens potatoes, which is unpeeled red potatoes sautéed with onions and peppers, along with coffee.. The thick cut bacon was hard, very salty and difficult to eat, removed it and then ate the sandwich. The O'Briens potatoes lacked flavor and were not the best accompaniment to the sandwich imho. The coffee was ok. Will try this place again and try something else to see if there's a good combo that works better..

I tried the croissant french toast, which was delicious although a tad too buttery for my tastes. It wasn't too sweet and the texture was good (not mushy, more crispy on the outside and bread-like though I wouldn't say it was fluffy either), and since it wasn't too sweet I did get to try their maple syrup, which was a great pairing. Very odd, but I did also order scrambled egg whites on the side which were not something I expected to stand out to me! But they were delicious! I also added some breakfast sausages but they were a bit sweet and I probably wouldn't order them again. The vegan coffee cake was alright, but they topped it with cream cheese which I don't like, so I just had to pick out the bread from the bottom. It totally doesn't taste vegan at all though, so this is definitely a great choice for vegans!

Service was notably much more welcoming, the interior & vibe remained on point. The College Friend and birthday celebrant went all out and had the Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries. Notable was that the sizable chicken filet was both buttermilk and pickle juice brined. I opted for the buttermilk pancakes with a blueberry peach compote and a side of Hempler bacon. The fruit compote was so delicious, the maple syrup was a bit of an afterthought. So contrary to my previous review, I did return albeit 6.5 years later. Apparently they "stopped doing that" in September, which was unclear from their website or Yelp reviews/pics, and it wasn't just me--the table next to me asked their server the same thing. My friend and I got brunch-y drinks (mimosa, spicy Bloody Mary), and then each got one of the only two items on the menu that had eggs (shakshuka and a breakfast sandwich). While I can't comment on the shakshuka, the breakfast sandwich had thick bread that was toasted a bit too much and wrecked the roof of my mouth. The drinks were good but the sandwich + a mimosa set me back $30 before tip so I don't think I'll be coming back again--certainly not during "brunch" time!

This location is popular and wait times can reach past the 40 minute mark. Despite the wait time, I was fully committed and parked myself on an outdoor bench with their provided guest pager in hand. There's indoor and covered heated patio seating. Given the currently balmy weather, I opted for indoor. My wait time was around 30 minutes and I was able to secure a comfy indoor window seat. Their menu is extensive and features breakfast and lunch items. They also have mimosas and cocktails. They also offer house made pastries. I opted for the Chorizo omelet with potatoes and a side of pancakes. The omelet was decent portion and delicious. The potatoes had a lovely pan char and was also well-seasoned. The pancakes were fluffy and was the final bite that activated my food coma. Needless to say, I requested a take home box. Service was friendly and prompt. This is definitely a solid spot for brunch or lunch. Parking can be tricky especially during the weekends. There are retail parking spots in the surrounding buildings.

We got the Cuban pork hash, ham hash (from the specials menu), corned beef hash, and breakfast burrito. The potatoes were unique because they were neither crispy but they weren't mushy either and very nicely fluffy inside. Also very well seasoned! The eggs were perfectly done and oozy, the hollandaise sauce was light, more so added for extra creaminess. I'm not usually the biggest fan of hollandaise sauce as I find it sometimes too heavy but this was less rich which was nice. The breakfast burrito was tasty, nice amount of filling. I enjoyed the cubes of ham and how it wasn't overly salty. Definitely eat with hot sauce and some black pepper. I think it would get a little mundane if you were to eat the whole thing yourself but it's not bad. The banana bread donut isn't really a donut. More so a banana bread Bundt cake.
