The restaurant is cozy and though some of the tables are a little close to one another... they've done a great job working with the space they have. The exterior seating area is covered and has heaters. Most importantly, the food is AMAZING. The staff is friendly and the coffee is good. Solid portion sizes and the chefs do a great job cooking whatever you want exactly how you want it. ALL of the service staff are very professional in appearance and friendly. I will say, it isn't cheap but you're paying for corresponding quality (and the quality is solid). Despite the wait time, I was fully committed and parked myself on an outdoor bench with their provided guest pager in hand. There's indoor and covered heated patio seating. Given the currently balmy weather, I opted for indoor. My wait time was around 30 minutes and I was able to secure a comfy indoor window seat. Their menu is extensive and features breakfast and lunch items. They also have mimosas and cocktails. They also offer house made pastries. We stopped for breakfast during a quick visit to Everett from Los Angeles. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman, whose name I regretfully didn't get. It had been about a year since I'd been to Rusty Pelican Cafe, but I'm always happy to suggest it as a great brunch spot in Woodinville. One thing that was new to me this time was getting bread and butter at the start of the meal. This was such a pleasant surprise! The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the whipped butter was a great touch. For my main, I got the Farmer Skillet with added spinach and over-easy eggs. It was super filling and delicious--the potatoes were cooked perfectly and even had some crispy bits. I also ordered a side of pancakes, but they weren't really my favorite. I'm a big fan of thick, fluffy pancakes, and these were a little tough and hard to get through. My friend went with a lighter option, the Avocado Toast with a side of fruit. She wasn't too thrilled with it because it came on regular whole-wheat sandwich bread. She felt like it was something she could have easily made at home, so it didn't really feel worth the restaurant price. I love that Woodinville has grown up so much over the last few years. There are now many dining options, and the Rusty Pelican Cafe is one of them! It's the perfect place to meet up with friends, though heads up, they always seem to be pretty busy, so it's to a place that you can spend extra time. They don't take reservations so I highly recommend getting their before 9 am on a weekend (and I do mean before!) to ensure you get a table. Came here for a Galentine's brunch with two of my friends around 11 AM and we had to wait outside for around 20 minutes until our buzzer went off to be seated. Like any brunch place, it was cozy and filled with chatter. We were seated at a booth indoors. My friends ordered potato pancakes, an apple cider latte, southwest hash, and a mocktail. I got a salmon benedict. My salmon benedict was fine, not too amazing the first english muffin was perfectly soft and easy to cut through while the second one was hard to eat. Their menu caters to almost everyone and when you find your favorite you have a really hard time letting go of it long enough to try anything else out. I usually go for sweet for my breakfast but here I cannot move away from the Country Fried Steak, salty naughtiness with a hefty side of eggs and potatoes. Oh and! They have this really awesome hot sauce that I had to buy it was so so so good, it just complimented their breakfast perfectly. Now, remember when I said I go for sweet, well I might have gotten the walnut cinnamon sour cream cake to go with my coffee, sometimes you simply can't help yourself. What a lovely little brunch spot. I finally got to come here after being recommended it for a long time. Came here on a Sunday at around 9:30 and there was no wait for a table for two. It looked like it had a lot of openings in general, but the waitress said it seemed extra slow that day. Unfortunately, that they don't take reservations so first comes first serve and get ready for a wait most of the time. Food: there was a large section of Benedict's so I had to try some. My friend and I got the California Benedict and the salmon Benedict and I was able to substitute the biscuit inside of the English muffin for no extra charge. everything was delicious and fresh tasting. The salmon was great and the biscuit was so yummy even though it a lot of carbs - I got to get some extra jam on the side to finish that off. I also thought it was cute that they had a pastry plate that they were taking around. So you can get a little sweet pastry as soon as you sit down. I had never seen that before! Made us a bit nervous about the wait but we ended up getting seated inside after only 15 minutes. We had a really hard deciding on what to order because sooo many things sounded great. Went here for lunch recently and it was fine! The decor is really cute and it's always busy inside, but we were able to get a lunch table fairly quickly. I'm gluten free and they did have some options for me, but not as many as I would have hoped. They have a lot of bread dishes like sandwiches and avo toast, but no gluten free bread option. I ended up getting a salad that said it was gluten free, then they put a bunch of slices of pita all around it. I was fine removing the pita, but someone with celiac would have been screwed. My Greek salad was fine. It seemed like something I could have made myself at home and didn't have a lot of each ingredient. They do not take reservations however, the service is super fast and with the outdoor seating, the lines move faster! last time, we had a 20 mins wait but this time, we got in within 5 mins! They bring out a beautiful patisseries sample plate for you to pick as a starter. each one is mouthwatering! we usually pick a less sweeter coffee cake! I love breakfasts at the Rusty Pelican and have been going to various locations for years! The egg dishes are delicious and they have good-sized portions so I always take home leftovers. I have yet to have an egg dish I don't love. We came at 10am on a Saturday morning, and while they were busy, we got a table right away. I got the Greek Vegetarian Scrambler with potatoes and fruit. The service is great they had people coming around to refill our coffee cups constantly. Also, if you want cream with your coffee, it comes with heavy cream, which is decadent and very tasty. Wanted to celebrate Fathers Day, without the rush. As you walk in, the staff were ready to accommodate two cranky 93 year old seniors. A real bless, as these seniors can be demanding. They were helpful and gladly accepted their requests for a certain table. My dad loves all kind of breakfast food, but was particularly drawn to their version of a Monte Crisco. Something you rarely see on a menu. They call it a breakfast sandwich. It consists of "Egg battered cinnamon swirl bread with Swiss, ham, bacon, scrambled eggs* and strawberry jam on the side, seved with potatoes or fruit" Really remarkable to see this. My stepmother is more health oriented. So she chose the Garden skillet. With Zucchini, tomatoes, onion, green peppers, spinach, potatoes and cheddar cheese with two eggs* any style. This also comes with your choice of: Buttered toast, buttermilk biscuit, or buttermilk pancakes. I chose the Corned Beef Hash.
