    My husband!
    Sam W.

My husband and I went here for breakfast. Walking in reminded me of a family diner with cute decorations and multiple dedications to local veterans. We were immediately greeted by staff who were incredibly friendly. The menu has a lot of breakfast selections. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs. Our food came out quickly and was hot. I was impressed with how delicious and flavorful the sausage gravy was. The eggs were also fluffy and hot, full of flavor which I am normally quite picky about. My husband ordered the hot delight omelette, homemade toast and corned beef hash. His meal was good overall, but there was a flavor in the hash that was off putting. Since my husband and I are locals, we will definitely be returning here!

Tip: Don't do what we did and stand awkwardly by the door waiting to be seated. You sit wherever is open and where you want to. We stopped here on our way to do some wine tasting. The service was great, and the coffee was delicious and hot. I had the corned beef hash. It came with homemade toast and jam, which I passed along to my boyfriend. He said it was incredible. I enjoyed the corned beef hash and the scrambled eggs. My boyfriend enjoyed his food, which was eggs benedict. I would definitely stop here again when in the area.

The rugby crepe tasted exactly like a Big Mac (respect ). The ham and asparagus was perfection, the asparagus was cooked perfect and the sauce on top was chefs kiss. The restaurant itself was cutie with an open kitchen where you can see the crepes being made.

We were seated in the middle of the crowded dining room around 1:30 that thinned out quite a bit during our brunch. Without a reservation you can't complain but we got bumped into a few times so it didn't make for a very relaxing experience. Our waitress was not very good. For the french toast she asked if I wanted a small or big stack. I didn't have glasses on or I might've noticed on the menu short=1, full=2. Using the same terminology or explaining would've been very helpful because when only one piece of toast arrived from my shorter "stack" I was very surprised. The mimosas were in small flute glasses which is way overpriced for the size. My husband's coffee was meant to have refills but we had to flag her down for that. She didn't actually bring us anything either, other wait staff brought the drinks and then the meals. The food was good, the ambience if you have the right seat is nice too. At the hostess station we overheard a phone call with someone requesting to be by the fireplace and now I see why. Will not return to this location when we're in town on a getaway this summer but might try the one in Pittsford or Penfield.

We came as a larger group and they were nice enough for us to order from the breakfast menu as they switched over the lunch menu at 11:30am. Our table enjoyed the food but all agreed it wasn't worth the price point. I tried the chocolate croissant with homemade butter and maple bacon jam along with the Canadian bacon Benedict. The chocolate croissant was nice with the maple bacon jam but definitely not worth the price point of $12. The croissant was quite smaller, like the chocolate croissants you can get from Costco or Starbucks. The Canadian bacon eggs Benedict however was delicious and I really enjoyed it! I just am not sure again it was worth the high price point. However I definitely felt the service was missing. As we were the only ones in the dining area, I felt the service was missing the mark. The server saw we were carrying a baby in the restaurant but didn't ask if we wanted a high chair. My mother-in-law spied it in the corner and then we had to ask for it and we proceeded to set it up at the table. As I was with 2 young kids, I ordered some simple items before the main course like their chocolate croissant and fruit cup. I assumed the server would ask if we wanted those ahead of time but that didn't happen. He also had forgotten my son's drink order and which my son actually had to ask him after some time "where's my juice?" My older son had ordered the s'mores waffles and it looked good when it was delivered but as I cut some of it for me to try later on, I soon realized the batter was uncooked in the middle of most of them. I was thoroughly disappointed he had eaten some of it before I discovered it was uncooked. The server throughly apologized and they remade the order which in the end, we ended up taking home with us. They also didn't take the order off the check for us which normally that would happen. For such a classy restaurant, we would think they would know how to make waffles and for more top-notch service. I think next time we will just enjoy the nice views and choose to eat somewhere else when we are in the area.

So my party of two didn't get to eat here. But strange to turn people away when online, it states the business closes at 2pm. EDIT: If you post a sign on the door with specific hours but don't update your hours on Google, it can create confusion for customers. Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy between the chalkboard outside, which lists a closing time of 2 PM, and the sign allegedly on the door which stated 11:30 AM close. We didn't even see the 11:30 sign. The hostess also mentioned a noon closing time. It might be helpful to ensure that all sources of information are aligned to avoid misunderstandings. For those seeking consistency, another option nearby, such as Simply Crepes, might be a better choice. If the owner is responding to Yelp reviews, I'm sure he's tech savvy enough to update hours on Google. Also, if last call is 11:30 and we walked in before 11:15, not sure why we weren't able to be seated.
