Hidden Gem.... This place was a great find. Today we came to enjoy a couples massage and it did not disappoint. They do a great job at keeping in line with Covid measures but still offer amazing service. Our therapists were very friendly and effective. I was in and out of sleep during our massage because it was so relaxing. The hot tub is closed at this time but the dry sauna is available and very clean. We will definitely be back. I recently went to Patty's day spa as a Christmas gift. I was looking forward to the experience. I arrived to an older woman's salon not updated in along time. The staff was nice enough. I loved the hot tub soak before my facial, pedicure and massage. After my soak I was in my bath robe and walked through the main building so not every private or comfortable kind of awkward as everyone that was there stared. My pedicure was OK and the same lady did my facial. My facial was very relaxing however I ended up breaking out in a rash all over the next day. My massage was just someone putting a lot of oil on me. I told the person what area were bothering me but that didn't help. read more

Pattys is usually wonderful! After my last visit here I spent weeks recommending it to friends and coworkers, but my most recent visit was disappointing!!!!My friend and I went to get wraps, scrubs, and a massage. My scrub was wonderful, but my friends, not so much. Online it describes the $70 scrub service as lasting 60 minutes with scrub, dry brush and a moisturizer. Her scrub lasted about 20 minutes!!!!!! Onto the wrap, it was nowhere similar to how the website describes it. She literally wrapped me in COLD ace bandages soak in oil that smelt like mothballs and told me to sit in the sauna. No scalp massage and I wasn't wrapped in plastic. Now onto when we told the receptionist about our problems, she then asked Patty what she could do for us and Patty COULDNT GIVE A DAMN about how bad our experience was and we had to pay full price. First off, I want to say that this family-run business is great, and everyone that works there is incredibly friendly. I've had my waxing done here for 5 years and have been more than happy with it. However, their other services need improvement. Waxing: 5 stars with Shauna! I saw Shauna for 5 years for waxing (she does sugaring and does not use regular wax) and she does a great job! She usually books 2 weeks in advance (if you get in at the last minute you are lucky), but that should tell you how good she is. You'll get a great service at a great price! Massage and facials: 3 stars. Their spa is nice. The hot tub and sauna are great, but I think they are expensive to use compared to other places you could go, and both are unisex. The room that I had my massage and facial was an open room walled off with curtains. I could hear others talking during my appointment, which did not make for a peaceful experience like I had wanted. Both the massage and facial themselves were good, but I would have liked a quieter environment which could only be improved by creating private rooms. Pedicure: 1 star. I've had 2 pedicures here and have learned my lesson. They were with 2 different people, and one was only okay and the other was terrible. Their massage chairs are old: I'm talking useless, as in it's more comfortable not to use the massage function. Their colors are out-of-date and as a woman in my early 30's I had trouble finding a color to use. My nails were not trimmed the way that I asked them to be done (which resulted in an ingrown nail) and my flip-flops were put on right away which smudged my polish...instead of redoing that nail, she repainted over the old paint and it looked awful. The pedicure here is way too expensive for the treatment you get...go elsewhere. Bottom line: get your waxing done here, but I'll bet you can find a better place for your other treatments. read more

Electrolysis...NO DONT GO!!!! The needles are left unwrapped in an open tin. I asked for new needles, but was given excuses & explanations of why the open needles in the tin were OK. Sometimes I was told a fresh needle had already been applied before I saw it. I wanted to believe her. The last appointment (EVER) that I had with her she put my health at risk. 1) She argued the needle was already in when I asked for a new one 2) I requested a specific technique. She said she was doing it though she was not. The machine lights indicated she was not. I kept asking questions and she made excuses for each one. The cherry on top: she told me after the procedure that she had shingles. She had not asked me if I had already had chicken pox before we started. read more

I booked a Saturday couple's massage appointment on Tuesday, and was pleasantly surprised they had an opening. Despite getting my locations mixed up and arriving 30 mins past our hot-tub arrival time, Viola met us at the door cheerfully and welcomed us in. This was my husband's first massage and he was paired with Sarah. He was treated to a very nice massage with focus on a side shoulder that had been bothering him. Viola treated me to a very thorough 1-hour massage that included everything from my scalp to my toes. I set up and paid for the appointment over the phone. On Saturday (they are closed on Sunday's) I had my wife drive to the address (I was keeping spa day a surprise). The wife was pleasantly surprised. I had arranged the "Queen of the Spa" package. The wife enjoys massages and pedicures but does not get facials, body wraps and manicures. My two favorite ladies from my last spa left, and I don't know where they went. So, I'm trying out this place. I got a wax here a week ago, and it was great. She was thorough, respectful, and very nice. I came for a pedicure. Soon Jo is great! Knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and a pleasant conversationalist. And, like a silly, I didn't wear sandals, but she let me stay till my toes were completely dried. My last place always sent me out in derpy looking styrofoam sandals, so this was really nice. This salon is like stepping into a time warp, and not in a good way. The decor is dated back to the 70s, which is fine, and could have been kitschy. Unfortunately, *everything* about the salon is dated--the pedicure stations, and the nail polish colors. Sitting in the chair to get a pedicure, I was wondering if I would end up with some kind of bizarre illness from the 50's, like lockjaw. Even worse was the attitude of the esthetician--she did not stop talking for the entire hour and 30 minutes (!!) that it took to do a pedicure, during which I heard all about her ex-husband, her thoughts on politicians, how California has been run into the ground by [insert racial/sexual/etc. stereotypes here], etc. From the fact that I never agreed with her, but kept trying to change the subject or read my magazine, I would have thought she'd get a hint let the conversation drop, especially since it turned such a basic service into an epic marathon....but no. My favorite part was that she actually denigrated her co-workers and called some of them "unprofessional." Suffice it to say that I'll never go back to this salon. I had thought to give them business because it's a local place that's been here forever, and I wanted to support local. But with attitudes and services such as these, I'm happy to see it go under. read more

I later wrote a letter to the owner who called me back, not to apologize but to suggest someone more professional. I wish I would have read other reviews before making an appointment here. The esthetician was good and the quality of her work was good, but everything else about the experience was unpleasant. Definitely agree about the decor, I felt like I was going to my grandma's rural country salon. I got a groupon for Spawish that lists this as a location that accepts their voucher, when it came to redeem it they asked where my printed copy was. I have used groupon for years and never had to provide the printed copy, the phone app has always sufficed. After informing her (Patti) that it has never been a requirement, she looks at me and says, "well you've never redeemed one here." It was very rude, as if I should have known her requirements were different and special. She copied the information down and took my phone number and said they would see if it works. She then called me at 9:30pm to tell me that I had to print it off and bring it in. I did that the next day and when I brought it in they stated that they weren't going to honor it. They put it all on me to resolve, when really they should have taken an interest to determine why they weren't able to redeem a valid voucher. There was no concern that they were listed to receive this voucher from the company and that they might have other customers with this same issue if this isn't resolved. When I called groupon to try and get refunded they found it odd that the company put it on me to resolve instead of calling Spawish to get payment as indicated in the deal. Evidently two companies are merging and not all of the participating salons were aware of it. If they would have taken the least bit of interest they could have solved this problem without putting it on me, and for any future potential customers. read more

I really wanted to like this place but had perhaps the worse manicure ever, it was really no better than I can do myself and in fact had to redo myself as soon as soon as I got home. I have come to the wrong place to experience my first Brazilian wax. I don't know if this place has licensed aestheticians...something I should have checked. Doing my research on Brazilian, an aesthetician should make the experience less painful. I experienced a lot of pain, bleeding and stray hairs. She did not use gloves and used her nails to pull out some strays. I should have gone to a more specialized Brazilian wax salon rather than here. I received male Brazilian body sugaring at Patty's Salon. The esthetician (Paula) was friendly, professional, and efficient. The service was reasonably priced at under $40. Although it was momentarily a bit painful, my wife :-9 and I were pleased with the results and I will return again. While I agree with the other reviewers that the decor was rather antiquated, a posh, aesthetically delightful spa atmosphere is clearly the least of my concerns. read more

I want to make it clear that everyone up front was very nice and courteous. Yes, the decor up front in the salon isn't very modern but the spa in the back is much nicer. The reason I'm giving this a one star is because the woman who gave me my massage was horrible. Not only did she take practically all of my covers off leaving me exposed without tucking them in for my privacy, she also was burping and coughing during the massage and she farted! At least excuse yourself out of the room for a moment if you are having issues. I have never felt so uncomfortable during a massage. read more

WELL, the massage was amazing, all 90 minutes of it and so much so that I also got a pedicure....not the best pedi I've ever had, but by no means was it bad.
