The last time when I picked them up, one dog had a fairly large open and bleeding wound. It looked fairly fresh and was almost 3 inches long. I think they casually mentioned it but when I saw how big it was, I pressed them on how it happened. They blamed it on my other dog (I had my 3 boarding together in their TINY 'ohana unit), and said that one bit the other. I strongly feel that is not what happened, since it didn't look like a bite and my dogs get along well at home. They made it clear they would not be helping at all if my dog needed stitches. They also returned one of the dog beds I sent with them, soaking wet. Like completely soaked through, and it smelled horrible. They would not explain to me why it was soaking wet, but I suspect it had blood on it from my dog's wound and they wanted to hide it. I ended up having to throw the bed away. All in all this place is okay in a pinch but I found that Pau Hana Pet Resort makes my dogs much happier.

A staff member asked if I needed help and was very friendly and told me about the recent sale and that's why didn't have a larger selection. I did select about 12 fishes and his customer service was excellent. I should have gotten his name to give him proper credit on this form. I will be checking in again to see the selection of fish again in a few weeks. I've noticed a few places sell aquarium fish from home and will also check on them.

They were just 10 days old and were given what looked to be dry dog food. By the time we found them, ants had gotten into the food. We are both scrambling, calling for animal rescue. I call Animal Control and Police dispatch. Animal Control says call dispatch. Dispatch says call Animal Control. The left and right hand does not know what the other is doing. I go online looking for Hawaii Humane Society. There's a list of numbers. But they don't list which location. So I just take a photo of the kitties and send it to the first number I see. Unfortunately, they are in Pahoa. They do give me the Cat Cares number in Hawi. So I call Cat Kares and I explain the situation. I have these two cats in a box in Waimea. I cannot take them in because we have another cat. The woman, Debbie, was very argumentative. "I have 60 other cats!" she yells. "I can't pick them up today! I'm asking you to take them in for one day. If you leave them, they will die!" By this time I'm tired of getting the runaround from all the so-called cat rescuers that I've called. But here's the clincher from Debbie. "You can feed them goat's milk!" I'm thinking, you expect me to stop on the road and milk a goat? Where the hell am I to get goat's milk? I have rescued kittens before. But that was nearly 40 years ago! Whatevers, woman! The only helpful thing Debbie did was to text me the number of CatSnip Hawaii. I sent CatSnip a pic of the kittens and hung up on Debbie. She was not very friendly. My friend and his dog decided they would take the cats to safety and find friends at HPA to look after them. CatSnip did come pick them up in the afternoon and put them in foster care. I did mention I'm a nene lover and volunteer conservationist. I will not be supporting or endorsing any animal rescue that does not support native wildlife conservation efforts, including Cat Kares. Whoever abandoned these babies should be held responsible for not getting their parents spayed/neutered and chipped.

Dr. Woodley and her staff are the most compassionate and loving people I have ever encountered in…read morethe veterinary world here on the Big Island. Although it's an hour and 20 minutes (one way) away from where I live, I actually did it again in January for a follow up appointment and will be going again in March. I initially went to a vet here in Kona to deal with a growth on my cat's mouth which proved to be cancerous. The vet removed as much as they could safely but some of it couldn't be removed. A biopsy was sent to an oncologist who suggested chemo and radiation immediately as I was told the cancer would come back with a vengeance. I wouldn't consider either of those treatments for myself so I wasn't about to put my cat through it either. I requested alternative treatments and was told they didn't have any so I asked for a holistic vet recommendation which led to Dr. Woodley and the Kapaau clinic. Dr. Woodley put my cat on some herbs in hopes that it would stop the growth of her tumor. Not only did it STOP the growth, but it SHRANK it. Had I gone with the initial recommendation, my cat would probably not be alive today as her life prognosis on the previously mentioned treatments was only a few months and she would have been miserable throughout the treatment. Today, she runs around like a kitten (she's 15 years old) and you would never know this cat had a serious bout with cancer. I have to give her the herbs daily, however, that's hardly a price to pay when I consider the alternative. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Woodley if you are looking for a natural way to care for your pet.

They consistently walk their dog to poop on other neighbors' properties/front yards twice per day. Now, a year later, we return and they have two dogs creating twice as much poop in the neighborhood. Robyn and her husband are nuiscances and I can't believe she behaves this way as a "realtor." I would never use her as a realtor just because of this characteristic. BAD NEWS!!
