Extraordinarily great portions of meat, toppings, and sauce, everything about the gyro was immaculate. Wife and Father-In-Law got cheesesteaks which also were no push overs, great quality meat, bread and cheese. This will forever be a must visit location for my annual visits to OCMD. BEST GYRO EVER. Wife & I have gone to Sinbad's since 2014 for the best Gyros on the East Coast! Absolutely a must when we visit. When the wife and I moved to Illinois, we would always compare to Sinbad's and nothing comes close. Now we are back in PA & try to make our way to Sinbad's every time we visit. The classic Gyros were a tremendous let down. I was expecting freshly sliced gyro meats but instead it was strips of store bought gyro meat where I can probably buy at Costco or Sam's club. Not to mention the sauce tasted store bought as well. I spent $12.95 per gyro, maybe my expectations were just too high. I also ordered large French fries and he tossed in packets of ketchup inside the box with the piping hot fries. I'm not even upset that the ketchup was warm from the hot fries; However, I was more horrified that he mixed it with the fries itself. As we all know ketchup packets sometimes are accidentally dropped on the floor, touched by many hands, recycled, etc. On a positive note, the guy was friendly and asked how was my day going. Do not waste your time. We looked up the great cheesesteak ratings. We come off the beach and go there 630pm on Sunday. The hours are 12. Noon until 12am. The man behind the counter was completely rude. To the lady with children ahead of us. Then to us and we weren't rushing him he said he could only do one order at a. Time. Sub shop is the wrong job for you man! As we were waiting to have our order taken another man walked in. He told him he wasn't serving him came out from behind the counter and locked the door. Nine of us walk in about 1230pm-1pm to grab a bite to eat. the worker is sitting at a table way in the back and said it's just him working and he couldn't serve us. He told us to go to the boardwalk. We thought he was joking but he was serious. I couldn't believe he wanted to turn away business. If he's the owner, shame on him and if he's not the owner, his can should be fired. One gentleman was serving 10 people (half of which were drunk) at 12am. They displayed EXCELLENT customer service even though they were clearly under staffed and had a lot of customers. His father (I believe) came out and began the billing aspect and they displayed excellent customer service throughout even as a man drunkenly asked the same question over and over. Owner refuses to wear a mask or gloves while making your food. He touched his face then the food all while other patrons sat around not wearing masks. Gave us an attitude as well about the masks. No thank you. This place looked and smelled disgusting as well. The owner is probably the rudest person I've ever encountered in a restaurant. I walked in with a party of 6 to the owner on his phone. We asked if we could be seated but he immediately looked annoyed and said he could not serve that many people. We had yet to even order and he denied us from getting food at his restaurant. While it was raining, we were then kicked from his restaurant while trying to wait for an uber. I recommend no one ever tries to come to this place because you could be better served by a potato. Found this place on my most recent trip to OC. Only about a block away from the Holiday Inn, so it was a short walk there and back. I got a large cheesesteak which was awesome. Tasted great. The sub was overflowing. Also an order of onion ring that came in a large contain with a paper plate in it like a funnel to keep the extras from falling out. Tasted good aswell. Might of been a little pricey, but well worth it for the portion sizes. Liked it so much, went back again next day and got a cold sub. Just as good, with large portions. If they don't have something already made and ready to go, they won't make it, they'll just say they don't have it or they'll tell you to come back in a couple of hours. My boyfriend and I are down here for St. Patrick's Day and a friend's birthday. After leaving a club on Friday night, we decided to get a snack and stumbled upon this gem. The menu indicated "World Famous Gyro" SOLD. I had to try it. Let me tell you that it was extremely delicious. We got Gyros again on Saturday night. The hate on Sinbad's is a little over the top on here. Is it overpriced? Yes. Go somewhere in Ocean City during the summer months and try and find a place that is not, though. Cost us $37 for 2 large pies (1 cheese, 1 mushroom). Is the food good? It's mediocre but it's not bad. You know what it is, if you could lay your eyes on the establishment. It's a take-out, pizza joint -- not a five star restaurant. Is the service rude? Not in my experience. The owners are foreign. 100% Greek. They do not speak the greatest English. Placing a phone order can be difficult -- especially, if you want to customize your order. I think some people in these reviews are mistaking cultural differences for rudeness. My few experiences at Sinbad's have been through the two owners and workers and they have greeted, smiled, and had common sense manners towards me. Also, don't ask to use the bathrooms. They have a sign on the door stating they don't want customers using their rest rooms -- so don't think you're privy to the exception because you're on vacation. However, they did have another worker (I think their son?) who was texting away on his cell phone, with his feet up on the customers tables -- in the back of the restaurant. Honestly, what turns me away from ordering from Sinbad's often is their pricing for mediocre food. You can walk a block or two in either direction on the Coastal Highway or toward the boardwalk and find better and similar food for, at least, the same price. You may disagree with me, though, because they're obviously doing something right. They've been around for the last 30+ years. read more

I come here every time I'm in OC to get a cheesesteak. Fresh beef seasoned and cooked when ordered and a perfect toasted bun. I only ate here once, and it was at 3 in the morning, but I can say hands down that they make the best gyros/sandwiches I've ever had. To be sure it wasn't due to the alcohol consumed earlier in the evening, I bought a second cheesesteak and refrigerated until the next day. My hopes were confirmed. Whatever spices and sauces they use, it is hands down the best sandwich I've ever eaten. HIGHLY recommend it. As for the poor service mentioned in a previous review - All I can say is there were 14 inebriated guys walking into their restaurant at 3 AM and they were as kind as can be and made all of our food quickly, let us eat it in the store and never once tried to rush us to leave. My husband and I get take out from here every time we are in town!! (which is every other weekend). We always make it a little difficult on them with our orders and they always do it with a smile on their face! RUDE RUDE RUDE! The employees here need to take a class in hospitality or at least learn some MANNERS. All I wanted was a quick slice of pizza, how difficult can that be? They left me standing there awkwardly for 15 minutes. I would understand if the restaurant was busy and they couldn't take my order. But there was only one other customer there who was already eating! When I finally asked for help to place an order, the waitress gave me an attitude as if I was annoying her. SORRY for interrupting your IMPORTANT conversation with your coworker. SERIOUSLY, can you believe the audacity of me to try to spend money at your establishment? I'm a very forgiving person if the food was actually good. Unfortunately this wasn't the case; the pizza was COLD and DRY. If I wanted frozen pizza, I would have just driven to a supermarket and ate it out of the box. I think I would even be happier eating frozen pizza at the supermarket, at least saves me the trouble of having to deal with INCOMPETENT workers.
