That was a pretty damn good sandwich. They toasted the bun for a sec to give it that little crisp outside. I just got a simple turkey but it was plentiful and tasty and their sweet peppers and hots united perfectly with rest of the veggies I added. Loved a 7 inch that didn't kill my belly or wallet. Actually quite nice, and a pleasant change of pace from the heavier things I had been eating on this business trip to OC. It is not fancy inside or out, a simple counter for ordering and a few tables inside, and in a small porch type setting. The highlight was the woman taking the orders and cashing out. She has an electric smile and radiates care and sweetness that you don't often get anymore in customer service. She is the best asset of this establishmnet, I hope they realize that and take care of her accordingly. She is of the generation that finds dignity and takes care in anything they do. The service is pretty quick, although I got a simple turkey sandwich and a salad, but I have been to places where even that order takes longer than you would expect- not so at Tommy's. I would definetly come here again if in the area. I would be interested to try some of their other offerings. read more

I had my wedding at the Dunes Manor and all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were starving the night before so we randomly got cheesesteaks from here since it was so close. HOLY CRAP!! This was my first time here so I can't speak to anything other than it's just a sandwich stand with some outdoor and indoor seating. I wanted something light so I went with a BLT - which is pretty out of character for me. But I went with it anyway. Probably should have gotten a side or maybe tried a shake - but BLT with guns blazing. This was good - would have liked more bacon on it - but the LT was fresh and the Mayo was properly topped. Two stars is for the friendly service and clean establishment. Most of the food served here seems to be frozen. Cheesesteaks are straight up steakums, yuck. Fries are your standard sub shop fries. Ordered a large sub and fries, great value! Loads of steak in the sub as seen in the photo submitted and the fries were in a cup but overflowing in the bag they came in. Staff is friendly and pleasant, the establishment clean and orderly, finally we had a soft cone which was also super. I like this place! Would give it 4.5 stars if I could. There was a long line and it did take a while to get our food. There were 5 of us in our group and we all liked our food. I ordered the BLT on wheat toast and it had more bacon than any BLT I've ever had! I feel like it was appropriately priced at $4.75. We have gotten cheesecake here in the past and they were awesome. Couldn't wait to get our favorite cheesesteak. They used gyro meat for the cheese steak! Gyro meat is a combo of different meats not beef and it is spicy. I complained and they to me it was steak-um. I know what gyro meat looks like and I know what steak looks like. My husband is an Ocean City native, and has been coming here since he was a small child. We stopped in for a cheesesteak on our way out of town and it was delicious. The thinly sliced steak was grilled perfectly but not broken into chunks, instead it was just layered and folded into the fresh sub roll. We also got mozzarella sticks and fries and guzzled it all down with fountain sodas. Ahhhh. The owner and her son were manning the grill and register that day. It's a family affair and it shows: simple food, prompt service, and consistency. I love businesses that have survived and thrived from before Ocean City was flooded with an obscene amount of tourists until the present. We will be back soon! read more

Price fair for OC, otherwise about $4 too much for a &13.00 cheese steak - Steak was tasteless, a steak'um as others noted. Onions and peppers we're almost non-existent for the 0.75 upcharge?, Pepper relish had to be the lowest cost on the market, all I tasted was vinegar. Cheese? It was present, I saw it. I had to look for it because I could not taste it, or the hot pepper relish. Cheese likely oil based wax. - If you are over 23 yo, keep driving. The chicken pitas was good, would have liked more chicken though. However, the fries were not seasoned and very bland. The Ham and Cheese was literally the cheap cuts from the grocery store that my grandma uses, my sandwich bought them a package of the meat and a loaf of bread.
