Within 1 week of getting it I was all frizzy as if never got it.tough to pay $200 for nothing. I did call and received a call back from Manager. I've been a client at Paul Joseph Salon way before they moved to the current location. I've been loyal to this salon even when my favorite stylists have gone and moved on. My current stylist, Lilly, is an amazing artist and she goes above and beyond for me every time. Unfortunately, Tatiana made the checkout process a disappointing experience for me. During this visit, I had several services done (color, foil, Brazilian blowout, cut, blow dry). When I made this appointment, there was a promo for discounted Brazilian Blowout products (which I thought was buy one get one at 50% off) with service. Apparently that promo expired and Tatiana refused. I couldn't find the promo on the website anymore but she assured me that she is in charge of promos and she knows I made a mistake. If it legitimately expired, I am ok with that. But what I am not ok with is how rude Tatiana was during our exchange. She looked annoyed and was not friendly at all. This is new for me because until now EVERYONE has been so kind and welcoming there. In fact, on another occasion when I've had this many services done, Paul, the owner, offered me generous discounts on products without me evening asking for them. When I declined Tatiana's alternate offer (buy one at full price and get second at 15% off), she just walked away. No smiles, no apologies, completely rude. Even the cashier at the desk whispered "sorry" afterwards. When I got home, I found the Brazilian Blowout promo on The Paul Joseph Facebook page. The actual promo was for a FREE styling product and a second product at 50% off with services. On that page, the promo clearly does not state when it expires. It just says "while supplies last". I know I saw that same promo on their website when I booked my appointment. I called and spoke to Tatiana on the phone to let her know that this promo is still on their Facebook page and with no expiration date. She insisted that this promo is definitely still expired. She continued to point out that I made a mistake. No attempts were made to resolve this issue. Though she reminded me that she offered me an alternate discount (buy one full price, second 15% off -- that's barely a discount, in my opinion). Clients should not be treated this way. Tatiana had a second opportunity to make this right and she continued to be unhelpful. I was very surprised to find out Tatiana is the manager of this salon. When I told her I didn't think Paul would agree with how she is handling this situation, she replied "I am doing exactly what Paul would expect." Again, clients both new and long time loyal clients should not be treated this way. I'm really disappointed. I won't be returning. read more

I had a horrible experience at this salon. I had a girl blow dry my hair and leave the round brushes in my hair! I have very fine hair and and this caused a constant tangled mess. Also, the constant weight of the brushes hanging from my head pulled my hair! The constant pulling and yanking of my hair had my eyes welling up, it hurt so bad! I did mention this, which it was very obvious I was uncomfortable. Neither one cared as, my comfort as a client must not be important. Then, The stylist came Over and she started ripping a comb carelessly through my snarled hair. They must not have much experience with fine hair! I also had a brow wax. Worst brow wax ever! I had to sit in a regular salon chair and told, "sorry, this is going to be uncomfortable." Don't offer a service if you are not prepared to keep a client comfortable! I had to hold my head back without any support while she waxed. Also, had my eyebrows cleaned with hand sanitizer, that was a first!!!! I left this salon with a headache and pain and will never return. If you are thinking of trying this salon I strongly recommend you go elsewhere!!!! read more

Extremely unprofessional . Lied about the service . They are not certified in Brazilian blowout service yet claim to be one . Miscommunicated about the price that was told me first before the service and later added $50 more to it. Dumbest staff ever messed up my appointment wasted my time kept me hanging on for two weeks . I would never recommend anyone to go there. PS I was asked to provide me pictures of the before and after services of the Brazilian blowout and I was told to check their website and Instagram page , which had no pictures of this treatment done to any client all they offer was keratin treatment . And probably I would have gone under false treatment and not the one I was supposed to pay for . Out of curiosity I checked certified site of Brazilian blowout and found out that this salon is not even a potential qualifier who has ever certified on rupee services ! For those who read my previous review, I would like to take this time to provide you with an update on the situation. This morning I received a call from the owner of the Paul Joseph Salon. Paul called to apologize and to take personal ownership of the situation that occurred between the staff and me at his Naperville salon on Saturday morning. Paul was extremely gracious and apologetic. He wanted to make things right. He had just learned of my dissatisfaction and he was extremely concerned that this incident was not brought to his immediate attention yesterday morning while I was still in the salon (Paul was there working with a client when this all transpired). Nevertheless, he continued to take ownership of the misunderstanding. Paul offered several options in hopes of resolving the problem to my satisfaction. He offered to: personally come to my home to deliver the salon service; to find another salon in my area for the service at his expense; and if I was willing to meet him at the Naperville salon at a time of my choosing, to personally perform the service. I opted to return to the salon and I met with Paul this afternoon. We discussed the issue in great detail, and I found Paul genuine and gracious. I could tell that his customer's and my satisfaction were/are his number one priority. I'm extremely satisfied with the way Paul handled this situation. He is a man of integrity who is willing and does take full responsibility for any and all actions of his staff. I have rescheduled my future service appointments with Paul and I look forward to a positive and satisfying salon experience. Thank you Paul! You're five stars in my book. read more

I had my hair and makeup done here for my wedding last weekend and was very pleased with how everything turned out. My stylist was Gabrielle and she did a fantastic job. She spent a lot of time making sure that my updo held and it did! My makeup was done by Amanda and she also did a great job. The service here is fantastic and everyone is so friendly. read more

I had the worst experience there the stylist was very nice but didn't understand what I asked for I think she had her own thinking and just did what she thought she understood after the first cut it wasn't what I initially wanted she tried to fix it but it was going to make my hair shorter and I didn't want that I just wanted a lob cut and she also gave me bangs I called to see if they could let me wait until my hair grows out until I go back there they told me they had a 14 day policy which I can understand but I tried to explain to her there was nothing I wanted done to my hair as it was very short asked for a manger to call and no response I paid 58$ plus I tipped her a great amount because I'm nit that type of person I just wished they took my voice into consideration I was livid with their response it's like they didn't care or wanted to hear me out I just gave up never would go there again I work a lot my son saved his money to treat me and Pamper me I was so disappointed.. read more

On Tuesday October 10, 2017 I went into the Salon to get my hair colored platinum. I had shown the stylist a picture of the color I wanted prior to the appointment, so she knew what I wanted. She explained to me that she only had two years of experience with some arrogance. After she colored my hair, I knew immediately that the color was wrong, but she explained it was the light over her chair. I waited a few days before calling the Salon to see if the color would change. I called the Salon on Friday October 13, 2017 and asked to speak to the Owner; they explained he was not available so I spoke to a Manager. She said that the stylist was not available on Saturday or Sunday, but someone else would do my hair color on Sunday. I went into the appointment and was pleased that the stylist had more experience and was very apologetic. Unfortunately, the color was the same and since the Owner or Manager was not in, I texted the Manager to let her know what happened. She said that she would speak to the Owner and get back with me. When she did, they offered me no reimbursement. It was a "too bad, so sad" attitude. I have been playing phone tag with the Owner for months for a full reimbursement, around $300. The Owner never seems to be at the Salon when I call, or employees protect him. Going to go to the BBB now and file a complaint. read more
