We were given a tray with cutlery, water, salad dressing, and a number. When our lunch was ready, it was brought to our table. Lunch came out relatively quickly. My salad, Niçoise had fresh sliced tuna steak with olives, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes over a bit of lettuce. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich that he said was just OK with a salad on the side. Service was horrible. The overweight French lady at the cash register was rude and raised her voice at me. There was a misunderstanding about my tea being delivered to me. After waiting for it 20 minutes at my table which was right in front of her , I went to ask for my tea, she said "you disappeared, I don't bring tea". She sees me sitting and waiting for my tea. I've been going to this location for the last 10 years. It was a family tradition to have breakfast there in between shopping stops. I have been recently to the cafe, and it was a very disappointing experience. The quantities and the quality dropped significantly and the prices jacked. Also, they canceled a lot of items from the menu and the display. $9 for a latte, that was not worth it. I took a focaccia with salmon. 60% was empty, the salmon and the cheese were only in the center, it should come with goat cheese, it had none, just some cream cheese in the middle. It was very greasy as well. They served me the third of the potatoes quantity they used to serve with this dish. I paid $33 for a very disappointing breakfast. I have been here several times throughout my years living in Florida. I always grab some chocolate croissants here because they are amazing! Sometimes I sit and have a glass of wine or coffee. This recent visit was memorable in a negative way. The line was not long with many people but it was taking way too long in moving. As we waited in line, we already knew we were going to order chocolate croissants. These are my favorite chocolate croissants around! We also decided on sitting and enjoying a drink. Hubs wanted a beer and I wanted wine. It was finally our turn to order and we ordered our items quickly, without any issues and moved along. I ordered a glass of rosé wine, an Amstel light, and 2 chocolate croissants. I did not have to wait long before receiving everything. I get outside to sit and notice my wine is not a rosé pink color ( see photo). I go inside, being the glass of wine, and request rosé again. It appeared to be very confusing to everyone what rosé was. I tried to make it easier and requested the sparkling rosé and pointed it to them. They gave it to me and I went back outside to my seat. One of the employees came out and said I have to pay a difference. That little split was over $20! No way! So again, I request rosé wine. The same thing happened and I gave up. I never had any issues with the employees here and not that this will stop me from visiting here but come on! This is a "French" bakery and they should know a thing or two about wines. I have eaten at Paul's several times before in Miami as well as the Aventura mall location. This location is slightly different as there is seating both outside and inside. When you enter the restaurant you need to get in line to order. The line was long but it gave me a chance to plan my strategy on what to take to my friends house later that night. So once it was my turn I ordered their soup of the day minestrone as well as Evian bottled water. To go I got two Almond croissants and two chocolate. I am staying with my friend for the weekend and this should cover us for breakfast or a snack. Food here is delicious and definitely will return as it is very close by. read more

This spot has always been busy when I've gone... but I always think it's worth it... I love getting the French onion soup and the quiche .... also love the raspberry tea.... I like that it's unsweetened so you can sweetened it to my liking ...and you can go wrong with the bake goods ... they are always great no matter which one you select... I am personally a fan of the tarts/ danish like bake goods... I will say service has behind of the bakery/register hasn't always been the friendliest( folks have always been pretty dry...I guess pretty French in my opinion ;) ) ... but I think the food and bake goods make up for it... As for the furniture inside ... it is definitely over used and beaten up( this spot gets a lot of customers) ....
