I just got my nails done tonight and not even 2 1/2 hours later one broke. This is not the first time this has happened. It has happened several times but this is the last time I will ever go and I'll warn all my friends and family to beware. They get pissy when I ask for dip then only do one layer so obviously they are going to chip and break after the man who worked on my nails filed them paper thin. I actually said "ow" several times while he was drilling them. Getting them done is a luxury both in money and in time and now I have to go back on my lunch break to get them fixed. After that. I don't ever get my nails done, literally this is my 3rd time in my 23 years. I hate how thick and tacky most acrylic nails are and let me tell you, Kee at Paull nails is a PRO! He made these acrylics look like I grew these claws myself! Im trying to stop biting my nails and I work outside and with the cold winter air my cuticles are really dry and bleed easy so ignore that. But I am so freaking in love with these nails! I would recommend Paull Nails to everyone. Please show these guys some love, he said they've slowed down a lot because of covid and this place is hands down the best in Concord!!!!! I went to Paull Nails twice in February, once for a pedicure and a second time for a manicure. I wasn't thrilled with the pedicure (the spa treatment left my legs with a momentary rash and the polish smudged by the time I got home). I thought I would give it a second try as I don't like to jump to conclusions (or write negative reviews for that matter). I ended up booking a gel manicure online nearly a week in advance. It was bad enough that I'm here to provide a different perspective than what I read online. First, I waited for more than 15 minutes despite an appointment. Second, I felt forgotten at a corner table as I waited for my gel removal. (I also don't understand why the salon plays cattle wrangling but that's beside the point.) Finally, I got a technician after waiting for about 30 minutes. The manicure itself was a disappointment. She struggled to remove my gel and I don't think it all came off. She cut my nails but the shaping wasn't very precise. Then, she kept going back to repaint nails after they were done curing but didn't wipe down those nails with acetone afterwards. I got a little lotion put on but definitely not a hand massage. Assessing the manicure in the long run is even worse. I've had one nail chip on the top and two already peel in less than a week (about 5 days). My gel manicures typically look flawless for three weeks. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary that would cause so many chips and so much peeling. I also noticed after leaving that one of the bizarrely repainted nails has lint or nail polish brush hairs in it and it's been driving me crazy. All in all, I feel like the I had a gel manicure that someone made up as she went along. I realize there is a lot of privilege in getting my nails done, and I am not high-maintenance; I like a nail appointment for a brief moment of relaxation and unplugging and found my experiences here stressful. I also am very introverted so I didn't complain to the salon. Therefore, I cannot comment on whether they may have addressed my concerns if I raised them. I am new to the area and relied on reviews to try this place to begin with and so I am sharing my two cents because it didn't live up to the expectations I had having read what others have posted. read more

I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star if I had a choice. I booked an appointment online and was on time for my appointment. I asked for acrylic toenails as my toenails are a bit short and wanted some more length. I never asked for a discount or anything. The guy there was rushing me and kept trying to grab the nail colors from me when I had barely sat down in my chair, and didn't even have a chance to look at the colors. I had a dropped a box while moving on my left toe so it was a bit bruised and I asked the lady very nicely to be gentle with it because she was being very rough and kept pushing on the bruised part which was very painful. She gave me such an attitude when I asked for acrylic nails, she kept sighing at me and making faces at me, and talking in her own language. She made me so uncomfortable that I told her to please just take the nail polish off my toes, and paid for that part and left. I will NEVER EVER be back here. Their customer service is awful, and they make you feel like you are an inconvenience. I am always polite when I got out, and I always tip at least 60% of what my bill is and sometimes more. My husband and I had gone in for a Mani/Pedi. I asked for just a simple clear polish on both my nails/toes. We had the deluxe Pedi the first time, we went, so we thought we would try it again on our 2nd visit yesterday. Our appointment was for 4 pm, we were never seen until 4:30. When she opened up the 1st of 4 scrubs they put on your legs, each time, she was throwing the empty cup in my water, where my feet were still soaking. My Pedi was so quick, my husband looked over and said, wow you are already done? as his tech started before mine. I'm like yup. I move over to the nail place to another tech, while my husband still sits reclined getting his mani done while relaxing, legs still wrapped with a towel, again extremely happy with "T". The nail tech, I had actually pulled tools from all over the place and wiped them off with something. AGAIN, I was WOW, what am I getting myself into here, with the lack of disinfecting of the tools? Sadly, I was not very impressed with my 2nd visit and will not return to this place EVER again! I felt dirty as I left, hoping not to get an infection from the lack of disinfecting that didn't seem to happen. I questioned my total charge because it was $20.00 more this time around than the first time, we went in January. I went to Paulls today for the first time. I had a pedicure and a fill. I am very happy with my service and my nails look good. There is something I'm a little confused about and that is the price. When I got my pedi she let me select which pedicure I wanted. I selected the second option which I believe was $42. I then got a fill on my manicure & gel polish which I'm sure is a little extra (which is fine and expected). My total was $92. I think that is a little high? If my pedicure was $42, that means my FILL was $50??!! I didn't get a full set... it was a fill. & then I tipped $22. Overall, nails and service were great. I tried this salon for the second time yesterday, attempting to give them another shot after a terrible first experience. Yet again did not go well. I had made a 5:30 appointment for a regular manicure over a week ago. I arrived at 5:30 and was not seen until after 6:20. You can tell appointments mean nothing and they just fill as many chairs as they can, taking walk ins over appointments. I was obviously already frustrated as I had other plans that night I would be missing. Then the manicure felt rushed and at the same time took a while. The manicurist was doing myself and another client at the same time often needing to walk away from me to work on the other client. The actually time spent with me felt rushed as I had to mention my own cracked nail as well as pieces of nail not filed. The layers of polish were put on so quickly and either the quickness created air pockets and/or the polish was old as my manicure has strange bubbling, even leaving a small hole on one of my nails. The results were not looked at carefully and I was not asked what I thought. At that point though I had been there nearly 2 hours for just a regular manicure and wanted to leave. The technician doing my nails was on her cell phone chatting with someone in her own language almost the entire time, like I wasn't even there, while waiting on customers, , handling cash and coming back to me with our washing her hands. This place is AWFUL! I should have listened to the reviews but I needed my nails done today. The lady who did my nails filed them so much that she almost filed through my real nail and a couple spots filed my skin off and then put the dip on and then filed it so much that it was see-through. I didn't even say anything when another lady got up and switched with her. At that point, my nails were ruined and so short there's nothing I could do about it. I complained to the manager, he still charged me, attempted to give me a card for a discount for next time, I said, I am never coming back. I told him that that lady should not be working there. She is awful and she ruined my real nails. The manager's response to me was she had an off day. This was not an off day. She did not know what the heck she was doing. I am quite disappointed in the service that I received. With a group of friends, we made an appointment for 1:30 and we didn't get our services until about 2:30. Many people just walked in without making appointments and were serviced before us. It was quite chaotic and making an appointment did not seem to make a difference. I even heard one woman tell a customer that the wait would only be 10-15 min and that she would place here before the "group of girls over there", referring to my friends who were waiting for about an hour. I walked in looking for a basic manicure, nothing too intricate, just cleaning of the cuticles and shaping of my nails. I was greeted with friendliness by a man named Paul. There was not a wait, which I had been surprised by. I don't normally get my nails done, but I can say that this experience was overall very pleasant. Paul was gentle when pushing my cuticles back and didnt cut me when trimming the sides (which shouldn't be a lot to ask for but some nail technicians can be surprisingly rough).
