    Cupcakes!
    Stephanie S.

We pre ordered 36 cupcakes for our parents 50th wedding anniversary gathering. These cupcakes were so delicious and very squishy. I added different color edible glitter to make them all sparkly and added the toothpick 50th anniversary signs. The cupcakes were ready for pickup on time. Ordering wasn't the easiest process because we wanted to make some changes and customize the flavors. There were something's we wished we could change but the pick up was smooth and on time. People know Paul's bakery and have been a staple of the community for many many years.

The most delicious donuts ever. They're so soft and fluffy and that chocolate frosting is like a dreamy pillow of goodness. Even the frosting is fluffy. Idk how they do it, but it's delightful. My mom bought all the apple fritters they had today, which was 11. She planned on getting two dozen, but we came later in the morning and that's all they had left. She also got two brownies and two cream filled donuts. I also got two brownies and two cream filled donuts. The cream filling doesn't really taste like anything so that's the only complaint but who cares when the rest of the donut tastes so good. Service is very friendly and the shop is always clean. It smells like yummy baked goods. We always make it a point to come here whenever we're nearby.

My family has been going to Paul's for about 10 years for our weekly Friday "Donut Day". When on travel, we try the rest, but come back to the best. Definitely worth a small detour off I-95 to this Fredericksburg institution.

Got a half dozen assorted donuts and they are incredible! Service was exceptional! Such a local gem :)

"Why did I not visit sooner?" Please ask yourself this question once you check it out because I sure did after visiting Paul's. Situated in a non-descript plaza, this bakery is a hidden gem that takes you back to the olden days. Most donut shops these days throw lots of stuff onto their donuts but Paul's keep it real: plain, dipped, filled. Nothing fancy, just outright delicious donuts. The place is busy, so get ready to order as soon as you walk in the door or step to the side because the folks behind the counter want to keep things moving. There's plenty of parking and they are closed on Sunday and Monday. They open super early and close early, so definitely watch the time. Public service announcement: buy a dozen and take them to work; your coworkers will thank you.

Great donuts. Best in the area. I reccomend the chocate frosted and the maple. They make wedding cakes, so their frosting is very good.

By far the best shop in Fredericksburg, VA. They are homegrown and a benefit to the community. Take some time and get to know them.

Holy YUMMMM!!! The service was a bunch of teenagers or college students working their summer job but still incredibly nice, helpful, and eager to please. It was pretty hot outside so we opted to sit inside - the tables were a bit cramped but I loved the old school, chill vibe in there. I can't wait for fall so we can sit outside and enjoy a cold shake and burgers. We will most definitely be returning!

Service was quick and easy to order and not long to get food after placing order. My classic was cooked perfectly and loved the pickled red onions. Got an order of mozzarella sticks and wow they had the perfect cheese pull. My husband got the BBB and waffle fries - again cooked right and flavorful. We saw a few people getting milkshakes and wanted one but after eating had no room, so will make a trip one day just to get shakes! Our experience was good... give it a try.

What a wonderful meadery!…read more With lots of great food, mead, and mixed drinks, this was the highlight of my trip through Fredericksburg! Highly recommend trying a flight, which is surprisingly filling. For their mead flavors, I really enjoyed #21, Apple/Cinnamon, which is also the house favorite. #19 Mango 5 was a close second followed by #14 Pineapple. Overall, all of them are really delicious, and would recommend the Pina Colada slushy. One can also buy bottles to take back home! For mixed drinks, recommend the Gold Mine. For food, the sweet potato fries with apple butter dip is delicious, along with the honey ham sliders. If you're here for an afternoon, check out the charcuterie board! Our server Robert was fantastic, providing great advice for what to drink. There is a nice outdoor patio, that can get busy over the weekends!
