Authentic Appliance was the only place in the Antelope Valley (Palmdale/Lancaster CA) area. This was the first time that I had known or entered this business. The show room was a lot larger than I expected. The co-owner was very nice and professional. She greeted me right away and asked if she could show me any particular appliance. I told her our situation and she showed me all of the Speed Queen washing machines and the history of the Speed Queen. She made sure exactly what I wanted and expected from this type of washing machine. I had lots of questions and she answered all of them, and she did so by not making me feel like she was rushing me. I also discovered in our conversation that she and her husband own the store. And she does the sales portion and ordering and her husband handles the deliveries and the repairs. Then added that he does not have to do hardly any ever repairs with the Speed Queen brands, and that they own a Speed Queen as well. I liked that she didn't shy away from the "I wish it had this" or "it could improve on this" responses to me. I loved her honesty! I of course I purchased our very first Speed Queen washer. And we absolutely LOVE it. I wanted to wait at least 6 months or 1 year before making a response. I wanted to make sure that I was still happy with our purchase. We plan on moving away from the Antelope Valley. Now we wonder if we will sense our Grandkids are here. So, if we do decide to stay here or move to a better area in the AV, we will 100% buy ALL of our appliances from Authentic Appliances. And we will be needing to make that decision very soon. If we stay, we will be buying a new dryer, new refrigerator, oven/stove very soon. And once our big box dish washer breaks, we will be buying all of these from Authentic Appliance! Oh, I forgot to mention.... he delivered and set up our new washer as soon as it came in from Speed Queen. It was on back order because folks are like us, fed up with these big box crappy appliances. This machine is worth the extra cost!!!!!!!! Do not go cheap on this appliance. You will be so happy buying one of these machines.

I selected Christo Appliances (the contractor) since they are local. Their tech came out to do a simple diagnostic. My washer was leaking water (either from door seal or from detergent tray). He opened up the control panel to see if any electric component was getting wet. It was dry. Tech told me it seemed like it was coming from the detergent tray (I later saw it come out of the door's seal). He told me to call another company to confirm his diagnostic (WHY??) that they had to close the claim but once I got another company to confirm his diagnostic, he would come back. That sounds so wrong. That's not how claims should be handled. If I call another company, then that new company will probably fix it (unlike Cristo). I used my Washer that day the tech checked my washer. Well, it's not working properly anymore. The washer stopped in the middle of the cycle, and the door wont open. it's stuck! Today is Friday. I have been calling them since Wednesday and they haven't returned my call. I'm very upset and will not be using them in the future. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I should have read their reviews before I gave them my business. They have lots of bad reviews.

When trying to ask for or where a plant is they just pointed "over there" or "idk" Really hard to spend money when they don't know their products or just don't care. However we do like the kids club projects my son and the lady who runs it have a great relationship. I told them that I was on my way to a doctors appointment and they ignored me and kept asking for money. The guy that came out to my home then called the manager and took up more time. The payment plan was for me to pay the next day and they arrived to my home one day prior to my scheduled payment date. I literally had to say, have a nice day and walk away to end the conversation. They would not leave my home. The next day, which was when my payment was scheduled, I made the payment online. I paid the full amount that my account said that I needed to pay. And then I called in later to have an item returned because I did not need it anymore and then this is when they told me that I am still behind and they are going to have to take all of my items. I asked if they received my payment, they said yes, but it was not the full amount that was due so they will have to take all of the items. I told them I paid the full amount that my account said was due. They said sometimes the website does not show the accurate amount due. I said I should not be faulted for that. That is not my fault and I wanted a refund for my last payment, they said no.
