I was cut off mid sentence and given a response of "No of course not we do not hold any warranty for wear and tear, maybe if it was two weeks but not a year." I then asked if there was any way of looking up my purchase since I now live out of state and my receipt is at my parents house in Philadelphia to possibly give a rough estimate of repair cost. They do not keep any record of purchases. My mom who thought I misunderstood called herself to double check. The response my mom was given was "I cannot keep warranties for every customer, if you bought a pair of sneakers and something happened to them a year later would you expect the company to fix it?" My mom then explained to her she called 4 other jewelers in the area and each one said that it can be common for diamonds to fall out, however they back their clients and fix it. At this point the Bar-Kay employee started to change her tone stating "well just tell her to bring it in and I will see what I can do." No thanks. My family will never go back here. If you are looking for a jeweler in the Northeast Philly, Rockledge or Abington area please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

For context, I have had several negative experiences in the past with this jeweler, including condescending comments about jewelry quality, but what just happened is so far beyond this. I dropped off my diamond engagement ring to get repaired. The women whose husband owns the store called me and told me that my diamond was fake, that it was cubic zirconia. I was devastated, as was my husband who paid a lot of money for it. She then calls back 30 minutes later and says that she makes a mistake. She did not apologize or take any accountability and instead blamed me. Please do not trust this store with your jewelry. They are clearly not experts at determining jewelry quality. They are also very rude and condescending.

One of the rings was an Opal in a heavy gold band. The jewelry store owner prepared a receipt and I neglected to review the receipt when it was handed to me at the store. When I went back to the jewelry store to retrieve the repaired items the jewelry store owner did not return the Opal ring in a heavy gold band. When I asked for the Opal ring in a heavy gold band he said "what Opal" and showed me a copy of the receipt with only four items listed on it and the receipt lacked a listing for the Opal ring. The jewelry store owner further stated that "I don't remember an Opal ring". A female clerk in the store said "we are going to look all over for your Opal". When I asked jewelry store owner what are you going to do if you can't find my Opal he said "nothing", he was also very arrogant and did not express any concern for the loss of my Opal ring. Since then I've called multiple times and each time they stated they could not find my Opal ring. My girl friend was with me when I left the five items for repair and I wish I had not neglected to carefully review the receipt before I left the store. I'm not sure why the jewelry store owner did not list the Opal ring on my receipt and I'm not sure what his motivation was to not list the Opal ring on the receipt but I'm sure his motivation was not in my best interest for him to not list it on the receipt. To date I still have not been able to retrieve my Opal ring from Pave' Goldsmith & Diamonds. I just want people to be aware of what happened to me and if they do go there for service to be sure to carefully review their receipt before leaving the store.

On the same day I payed my guitar off I renewed the lease on my guitar pedal. Mind you this pedal was pawned for $25 when it's new worth is $250 and this thing was in brand new never used condition. I went there today to claim the item back but I had lost the green slip they give you upon pawning or renewing an item. They say they don't even have any record of it being renewed in their system. Now since they made some sort of clerical error on my renewal I am out $250 for a $25 pawn. I would recommend you take your business else where when dealing with high end equipment just on the principle of their carelessness. And if you do pawn there be sure you don't lose your slip and have proof of everything. I'd hate to see this happen to someone else.
