I brought my 2025 Tacoma in for 5k service on 2/20/26 and afterwards Matt Farbo spent close to an hour if not more helping me better understand all the electronics on my dash. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He was not my original salesman so had no obligation to me. My original salesman was also good (not working at this time) but I did not grasp everything at the initial time of taking ownership of the truck and needed a refresher. Matt gets top rating for the time he was willing to spend with me and his way of explaining how to use all the bells and whistles the truck has to offer, Also Larry in after-market sales was in even though it was his day off and was able to help me on a matter related to my wheels. Having purchased my last new car from Pauly I was surprised at how rude and arrogant salesmen have become lately. I chalk it up to the current supply crisis in Toyota hybrids. Rather than be empathetic to the difficulty locating new hybrids, salesmen behave like they are doing you a big favor, are demanding and insolent to potential customers. Pauly has been abysmal. The following is what the internet salesman Steve Robbins wrote to me when I was inquiring yet again about stock in hybrids: "Hi Fred / Gray Robert, "Please either setup time to come in and we can talk about all your options. Or stop emailing in diffrent vehicles and we can part friends. It your choice." Thanks Steve Okay, you judge for yourself if this is the way you would like to be treated by a car salesman? BTW, consider the level of grammar and spelling from a representative of a car dealership. If a salesman can not write in complete sentences or spell correctly do you trust them to be professional in helping you to procure a car? read more

Don't trust them they do not stand behind their vehicles. Bought a used car that had multiple problems even though they said their master technician inspected it. Purchaesed a new Toyota Corolla from Pauly Toyota December 24. Day after the purchase, the Corolla's went on sale for 1500$. In the end they refused to honor the day later sales price. But, it took them over 4 weeks to come to that conclusion. Very very extremely snail paced response time, days and on one occasion one time a week before I got a reponse. In end, their solution was to sell me a warantee at 900$ "discount" which they later offered bit more. Come on. I have few choice words for their business ethics: something similar to XXXXX. I previously purchased a new car from Pauly Toyota, and was going to purchase a new Highlander in addition. I purchased a new SUV from someone else. At best they are ethically challenged. They DELIVERATELY delayed and then trying to upsell me warantee instead of giving me the discount I should have had. I asked their star salesman, when I was purchasing, " Is there any discount coming up". He stayed mum. Later he pretended that he does not know when sales are occuring. Come on people be reasonable. You guys give car salesman a bad name. Now, the long more detailed story, if you are interested. I called the salesman day after the Corlloa went on sale 1500$. I aksed them can they can do anything to compensate me for the day late discount. Salesman did a disappearo on my numerous calls. Once he text me said, "give me 5" and did not called back at all. I had to call him severla days later. After several weeks of waiting on the response, I called them again ( of course I have all the records of calls and texts that went back and forth). One time, they would not answer my call for a week, I left several messages. But, there were no response, called salesman direct number, no answers most of time, and one time someone else answered the salesman's number(what was that). For each call I made they avoided me like a plague, and no satisfactory responde. In the end, after the weeks of delay tactics, which made sure that I cannot return the car, they started to offer me the deal of life time, the warantee. Are they serious? They wanted more money from me after 4 weeks of being mum and non-responsive. In retrospect, I should have just barged in and demand satisfaction. I will chank this as the depravity of some "human" salesman in current car sales industry, and move on. So, this is last I write and waste my time on the Pauly dealership, and chalk up as lessons learned: do not trust salesman from Pauly. I have delat with other dealers in the past, but this is the worst experience that I had. Do business with them at your own peril. Extremely ethically challenged sales organization. I can't say enough about the staff at Pauly Toyota. If I could give them a million Stars I would. Every single person from the dealers to the finance lady and all the service staff are an absolute Delight!!! They are solely focused on taking care of their customer, by going way above and beyond!!! I am so Wowed by their customer service...It seem as though, if you're not the nicest most caring person ever, you won't get hired. It's a pure pleasure going into a business and just knowing that you'll be taken care of...I never thought I'd say that about a car dealership! I warned you at the beginning that I can't say enough. Today I was in the store looking and ready to buy a 2024 Camery XSE they had in showroom. They made me feel very unwelcome. NOBODY asked me if I needed help. The last time I was is this store about 5 years ago they treated me the same way. If I ever buy a Toyota in the future it won't be at this store. I recommend going somewhere else. read more

Had an issue with our 2014 Toyota Camry....it was a known 'service bulletin issue' with the torque converter for the transmission. Toyota had extended their service warranty on this specific issue 2x since the issue became known, only to have ours fall out of the 2nd extension time frame, miles we were good on....'Corporate Toyota' did not ONCE call us back, each phone call, (4) in total, to them came with we will have a supervisor call you back the next day, not once did we receive that promised phone call back. Pauly Toyota, with whom we have bought (3) of the (4) Toyota's we have owned throughout our lives, replaced the torque converter which fixed the KNOWN issue, and only gave us a $100 discount on an over $3500 + KNOWN issue. Would have had a completely different attitude with Pauly if they were more understanding of our position instead of worried only of there profit margins & bonus payouts at year end. Lesson learned the hard way.......our service advisor Julie was great, but had 'no power' to help us, that fell on Pauly management, which obviously looks at bottom line profits. read more

Terrible service department. I had them perform an oil change. Even though I asked that they also check the two Engine and TRAC lights that were on when I brought my 2010 Camry in for oil change, when it was returned both lights were still on. When questioned, they advised that their oil change people there don't attend to these lights and I would have to go to a different service technician across the aisle there to have it looked at again. When I walked over to him, he explained they could not look at it that day (even though it was just a quick computer scan), I would have to come back again and then I would have to pay another $175 for them to do it. They also tried to charge me for a new cabin air filter even though I had replaced it 2 weeks before. PLUS, they broke my glove box door when they checked the cabin air filter but never told me they broke it until I discovered it myself when the car was returned to me. Finally, they never reset the oil light when my car was returned to me. So just FYI, I would strongly suggest staying away from this dealer for ANY servicing. read more

Ok, I have owned several different cars: Toyota, Honda, GMC, Dodge, Acura and others. Of all of the local car dealerships around Woodstock / Crystal Lake / McHenry I have dealt with, Pauly Toyota is the best. As mentioned, I have been to the other dealerships to service my other vehicles and have been annoyed beyond normal measures. To keep this positive, the service I receive from Pauly is great. The dealership isn't high pressure or pushy. As a matter of fact, I recently purchased a Highlander because of my previous experiences in dealing with Pauly Toyota when I had owned a Sienna van years ago. They seem to be "on the ball," unlike other dealerships I have dealt with. From sales to service, most everyone at Pauly is quite bright and serious about doing their job. I like Pauly Toyota and bought my most recent car because of that. Since I have to go in for regular maintenance, I don't mind heading over to Pauly at all. Great dealership with true professionals who know how to make it happen. read more

WoW This dealership has no idea what an APPOINTMENT MEANS !! My wife's Prius got a recall so thinking i would give the dealer a heads up booked an appointment a week in advance . Told them I could drop it off friday evening and pick it up Sat afternoon of course "no problem" . When I dropped it off I ask the attendant I have to have the car finished by 4pm ? Again "no problem" .He even wrote it on the service order ! I called that Sat at 2pm will my car be ready before 4pm ? Sure its in right now 3 at the latest . Arrived 345 BIG PROBLEM ohh they are just finishing up ?? Then at 445 pm the wonderful service attendant comes over to tell me this alinement is not covered under the recall its $70,00 extra REALLY YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING RIGHT no sir well you may have to bring it back Yea I will be right back like NEVER EVER !!!! read more

I WORN EVERYONE THINK ABOUT YOUR PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP I just purchase a Jeep Commander 2009. -Pauly Toyota told me one price and then gave me a different one at the closing table LOSS OF $970.00. -They left me in a office by myself for 1 hour with ANOTHER CUSTOMER CREDIT APPLICATION WITH ALL THEIR INFO. -Sold me a jeep with the wrong transmission fluid should have been red but it was YELLOW. They told me they are not a certified Jeep dealer and they dont know the colors of the jeeps transmission. The Jeep started to fail the day after my purchase and was told it was my car now. -Was lied to my management on several time -Tried to contact the owner Mike Pauly, but was told the only way to get a hold of him was by email. I have sent a email to him. He would like me to email by the next day because he would be out of town. I emailed him and gave him 2 WEEKS and still no response. read more

I used to like this dealer a lot until I had my wife take our Highlander in for an oil change yesterday. They finished the job but didn't tell my wife, who was waiting at the dealership, for about an hour past the time they said it would be ready. In addition they recommended replacing the cabin and engine air filters. I just replaced them on April 13th. Less than three weeks ago. Hard to find an honest dealer these days. The service department is clueless and rude. I purchased a prepaid maintenance contract which includes oil changes and tire rotations. Now everytime I go there I have to prepare myself for battle. They are never able to find the proper billing codes and try to tell you it is not covered even though you show them the contract. Then they will use regular oil as opposed to synthetic which is recommeded by MFR. Or they may simply forget the tire rotation part. Oops. They have no idea what customer service is and make you feel you are trying to pull a fast one on them. Don't bother filling out the Toyota service survey since nobody will get back to you about discussing your experience. The salesman told me they don't make any money selling cars, the profit is all in the after sale service. Interesting because after my maintenance thing is up I won't be back. Enough is enough. read more
