Treat Dreams has now transformed into Ferndal's first food hall Called Pavilion Street Market. I checked it out this weekend and it's amazing! Treat Dreams shares the space with 4 other vendors: The Dump Truck, Zaddy's, Cosmic Roots, and Papelon Arrpa Bar. If you can't decide where to eat....this place solves the problem! A little about each Vendor: The Dump Truck - offers flavor packed dumplings and boas. I met the owner, Chef Jared Bolokin who made an appearance on a season of Gordon Ramsey's "Hell Kitchen" and the Food Network. He was so welcoming. I tried the Vegan dumplings and they were delicious. Zaddy's - offers healthy fast food that is 100% vegan featuring burritos and banana milk. No seed oils are used and everything is organic. Cosmic Roots- Get your organic, whole plant beverages here; herbal teas, botanical elixirs, cacao, and kava. The owner is a herbalist and only uses in house made vanilla oat milk and simple syrups made without unrefined sugars (coconut sugar, honey or agave) in all of the drinks. I highly recommend the Mushroom Cacao which tastes like a rich, creamy hot chocolate. Papelon Arepa Bar- Authentic Venezuelan street food. They have another location in St. Claire Shores and a food truck. I tried the cheese Tequenos which came with this green dipping sauce that was fire called guasacaca. Wow! This sauce was tangy, herbaceous, and bursting with fresh cilantro flavor. I wish they sold it by the bottle. I would buy 5! haha You can find other Venezuelan food on their menu such as Empanadas, Arepas, plantains, tostones, and cachapas. They also sell frozen arepas and Tequenos to be reheated and enjoyed at home. Treat Dreams - almost forgot to mention the GOAT!!Metro Detroit's top of the line ice cream with unique, creative flavors including many vegan options. I came here for a Yelp Elite event and i can't wait to return ti try other delicious food offerings. The pricing is fair and the vibe is amazing! A fun, unique place to hang out with friends and chill.

I loved the event . All the foods I tried were great tasting. Papelón, Dump Truck, Zaddys, Treat Dreams and tea from Cosmic Roots. Crab rangoons , cotton candy ice cream, vegan options. What a great mix of flavors housed in one spot . All the vendors were helpful and pleasant. This was a fun event . Food and fun was a vibe .

During my visit, I get to understand that this is two separate Mall entities connected to a sky bridge. One side of the mall is purely upscale high-end stores and the other end of the mall is upscale stores with medium end stores. This mall was absolutely packed too to the rim! I really enjoyed the diversity of the stores here and in fact this is the first mall where it's 100% occupied. They don't even have small shops in the middle of the mall as well like most malls do. The food selection is actually pretty good too! This mall is really clean and I'm Amazed by how well the bathrooms are as well. Coming here on a weekend is really tough to find parking! Overall, I really enjoyed my visit here this mall is more of a 4.5 star experience but I will say it is one of the best malls I've been to in recent memory.

Level A - the first floor was closed, and we could only walk around Level 1, with limited access to view the cars from above. For years, this has been one of my favorite spots to bring friends when they visited Detroit. Seeing everything from vintage GM models to upcoming vehicles all in one place always felt iconic. Knowing this was likely one of the last visits before major demolition begins made it feel even more emotional. We'll truly miss this space as we've known it. The change, while disappointing at first, makes sense. The two office towers closest to the river, along with the connecting podium, are slated for demolition. The original 1970s-era design simply no longer fits modern work needs, especially with the shift toward remote and hybrid work. While it's sad to see this space go, the future plans, opening up the riverfront and creating a Navy Pier-style park and entertainment area, give hope that something even better is coming.

Envisioned by Henry Ford II as a "city within a city" to counteract the decline of Detroit in the 1960s, it was designed by architect John Portman who is also responsible for the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco and the New York Marriott Marquis, among others. Phase one was completed in 1977 with additional towers added in 1981 for a total of seven! Sadly, General Motors decided to relocate its headquarters elsewhere and much of the office space is vacant. But that doesn't make it any less interesting and the GM display in the lowest level is darned awesome. [Review 682 of 2025 - 390 in Michigan - 24243 overall]

That's the only potential "drawback" really, like if there's too many people you simply might struggle to find a seat. It can and does get completely full. At least you can still take your food to go! I love the set up of having food and drinks inside AND food trucks outside. What a treat. There's coffee, boba, ice cream, sushi, tacos, burgers, chicken and waffles?! And there's some little shops, at least one, which had jewelry when I went. Overall, if you are meeting with someone to chat, come here. If you're hungry, I assure you'll find something. It's good for a casual date or catch up with friends and family. High energy but not chaotic.

You can pay cash at the food trucks or you can use an app (scan a QR code) to order using your credit card. You can order through the app for any of the trucks or inside spots. This is a great way try a bunch of different places in one spot, or, have options for everyone in your family who can't agree on where to go for lunch or dinner. I'll review each of the places we tried below (TL;DR), but overall, food was excellent, delivery was quick (except for one truck...more on that below), atmosphere was good, vibe was relaxed and upbeat, very clean inside, and friendly/helpful staff and truck operators all around. Some prices were a bit high, but we didn't feel like it was extreme based on the quality of food and the ability to easily try different offerings without having to drive all over. The biggest knock was that even though we were greeted right away by a very friendly 'guide' when we walked in, his explanation of how the concept works was confusing and incomplete. We ended up having to speak to the folks running the trucks to better understand how to navigate the ordering process, cash vs credit card, and the ability to order everything from all the different trucks on one ticket, not separate tickets for each truck. Our other disappointment was that we went there for lunch (at 12:30p on the weekend) and the biggest indoor spot we wanted to try told us they weren't opening until 2pm so we'd have to come back later (maybe next time). Here's who we ended up trying: Big Red's BBQ Pit: Holy Smokin' Brisket Burnt Ends Batman! Big Red served up the absolute best burnt ends I've ever had from a food truck, and at the top of the list for all time best that I've had. Perfectly charred, crunchy bark while maintaining a juicy, tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfectly smoked inside. The rub and BBQ sauce were spot-on. Everyone in our family agreed that it was the best thing we tried all day. I guess I could have just said: 10/10 no notes. So Cheesy: Came highly recommended by some friends. A delicious sounding menu with some great options. The Steak Tacos were tender, flavorful, and filled to the max. The cilantro aioli and chipotle crema were flavor-bombs that really brought it all together. Fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Phili-Mignon sandwich was very good, but not quite as good as I was hoping to get based on the description and price. It was on the small side, very bread-heavy, short on steak, and the beet horseradish mayo was lacking the 'kick' I was looking for. Again, perfectly cooked & seasoned fries on the side. This was the busiest truck we ordered from, so the wait time was much longer than all the rest, especially since there was only one guy working. However, while talking to the guy at the Parma truck (more below) after he finished our order, he ran over to So Cheesy to give him a hand in the truck and help push out food. IMHO, I thought this showed a great collaboration and willingness to put the customer first. Overall, a good experience with So Cheesy, but I'd skip the Phili-Mignon Sandwich and opt for a burger (heard others there saying how amazing they were) or their tacos on our next visit. Parma: My wife had the Arugula Insalata and couldn't stop raving about it. She loved the ingredients, flavor, freshness, and size. Possibly one of the best 'bang for your buck' items that we tried. I didn't catch his name, but the gentleman running the truck was super nice, brought my wife's salad inside to her while the rest of us were outside waiting on other food, and even ran over to help the guy in the So Cheesy truck push out orders! Amo Samis Sammies: We tried the Breadless Chicken Shawarma Bowl. It was delicious and piled a mile high with tasty, marinated, tender chicken. The dressing was light and tangy, and the Lebanese pickles were incredible. I initially thought the price was a bit high for a 'bowl', but after seeing how much chicken was stacked on top, it made sense.

I also appreciated that they had Christmas Carolers from a local church group singing live here. The food court was not good. We had a family member get sick from the Japanese food place, so please be careful. The variety in the food court is also a range of different options, which was good.
