It was our waitress last day so she was a bit slow but our food was delicious and she gave us the best recommendations! My birria ramen was amazing and warmed up even better the next day. Also the dumplings were delicious and the cocktails.

My 2nd time here. Low & high tables with bar seating as well. Reservations are available along with walk ins. I didn't go in the bathroom this time, but the 1st time I did go and the gap between the stalls was huge. There is very little privacy. I was quite uncomfortable & tried to rush peeing so I could get out before someone else came in. Absolutely LOVE the (free) jar of garlic! I haven't ordered a ramen broth that I like yet, unfortunately. BUT I enjoy the broth that my bf orders. I'm happy that a seasoned egg is a whole egg!

Vibes! JINYA is not your typical ramen bar. The restaurant features a full bar with TVs and plenty of high top and booth seating. It's very well decorated and fairly big. We went on Saturday evening and told there was a wait so we sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple drinks. There were 2 bartenders and an additional man helping behind the bar. He explained the full menu to us and made suggestions. They have a wonderful rewards program that we signed up for and got a free Nikuman pork bun. The bun was slightly sweet and the pork filling salty. The ramen was incredible! Plenty of noodles and toppings. Very flavorful. The tonkotsu black pork broth was flavorful. It wasn't as salty and the Special featured ramen we also got, which I was happy about. They give you a choice of noodles - thick or thin. I liked the thin and will try the thick next time! The seasoned egg was perfectly cooked. The featured ramen was apart of a Demon Slayer thing. It came with a spoon! My fiancée really enjoyed it, he said "this is so good" probably 10 times throughout the meal. The food came out extremely fast despite it being a busy Saturday night. The servers were all nice. We can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu!

We went in a saturday and had a reservation but maybe didn't need one. They got more busy around 7:00. Our server: awesome. The interior: beautiful. I love the vegetarian/vegan options available. I got the creamy spicey ramen and it was a good spice level where it's good flavor and i didn't need glasses on glasses of water. Overall was great! Giving four stars because it was on par with other ramen places we've been to for the slightly higher prices it was at.

JINYA was a fun place to visit on a girls weekend. It was located in downtown Royal Oak and very busy on a Saturday night, although we were seated right away. The offered an extensive menu and a full bar. We ordered potstickers and they came out quickly. The ramen took awhile and the bar lost our drink tab. Our drinks we ordered well before the meal came out after the meal. I very much would preferred my drink before the meal and ended up not finishing because we had to leave. The bar did seem overwhelmed.

Inside of the old Andiamo's looks cool and modern and fresh and warm. Afrina is waiting on us. Not super warm, but gets down to business. Ordered a J Girl and sparkler mock tail, crispy chicken, impossible tacos, eggplant, chicken chashu bowl, regular, spicy (hot) chicken ramen, added a side of mushrooms, rice noodles, house salad. $98.58 The kiwi is nice and refreshing, the kiwi taste is prominent. The J Girl is good, you can definitely taste the grapefruit juice. The crispy chicken is tender, but rather fatty and grisly. Not for me. The house salad is quite earthy with the kale, would have been better as mixed greens only. Not a big fan of raw kale with the thick rein on it. The eggplant is quite underwhelming. Mostly Brussel sprouts than eggplant. Sauce is overwhelming and not that special either. The spicy chicken ramen broth was so-so. It had some hot sauce on top of the soup. The spinach and chicken is the extent of the ingredients, not much to it. The rice noodles didn't pair well with this soup. Ramen would have been better. The chicken chashu bowl has the braised chicken and the white meat chicken? Both are quite bland. None of the food impressed me at all or made glad that I ordered it at all. Service and food was average at best. Not worth a return or recommendation, sadly.

First and foremost, our server, Bri was amazing! She walked through the entire menu for us giving recommendations and suggestions. She was so kind and helpful. Probably one of the best servers I've had in months! I usually get the spicy creamy vegan ramen and it's incredible. I tried one of the other vegan ramens this time and it was good, but the creamy vegan is better! I also got the tempura brussel sprouts and matcha lemonade. Both were really good!

3.5 but bumping it up to a 4 star. I ordered the Red Tonkotsu, you can pick the spice level from 1-10. Anything after 6 is an extra $1 charge which is.... kinda crazy to me when the price is pretty high up there compared to other ramen restaurant. Our server said the spice level is pretty spicy, so pick two level lower than what you assume you could handle. He recommended 3, saying it would be a decent medium spice level. I went with 3 and it was more like a mild. Honestly, if you can handle spice, just get whatever you want. I definitely wished mine had more of a kick. The taste was good enough though! Not the best that I've had in the area, especially for the price you are paying. Wasn't wowed but you do get a good amount of food. The broth was hot (temp) and came out pretty quick. The egg in my ramen bowl was nicely seasoned. My friend is vegetarian and there was a nice selection for her to choose from. Nice and spacious inside. My friend and I did come in on a Thursday late afternoon so it was fairly empty inside still. Very clean, nice vibe of the restaurant with neat interior design. Our server was welcoming and did appropriate amount of check-ins with us.

This place is really neat!! I got the wonton chicken ramen and my husband got the beef birria one. He is more into ramen and than I am but I appreciated some of the more common ramen options. It was really good. Esp on a cold night. The waiter was really nice too. We joined the loyalty programs and got free mochi! We will be back!

Spicy tuna tacos were crispy and stuffed full! Our table got the Jinya Tonkotsu Black, Original, Spicy Creamy Vegan, and Yuzu Shio Delight. My husband and brother made their ramen a combo, so one got a small bowl of Tokyo Curry and the other got a bowl of Pork Chashu. The combo also came with salad, and the upgrade was about $7. It was worth upgrading as both the curry and the pork chashu bowl tasted amazing! The tonkotsus were good; very hearty and heavy, it's a good pick if you're super hungry. The Tonkotsu is served with thick noodles. The creamy vegan is indeed, very creamy. A yummy pick even if you're not vegan! The protein in the ramen was tofu. The Yuzu shio carried just the right amount of citrus, and is a good pick for the summer. The noodles were thin and were okay; it ended up being slightly undercooked so it was stuck together and a bit mushy/sticky. They also forgot the egg for it, but quickly brought it out once we asked. Drinks were on point. Not the best ramen we've had, but it is one of the better options in Royal Oak!

I recently visited Jinya hoping for a comforting bowl of noodles and left feeling underwhelmed. The first impression didn't help--things felt a bit chaotic from the moment we walked in. The host seemed unsure of the seating situation, and it took longer than expected to get a table. They dont take reservations. Added myself to wait list just to be kick out 3 times. Absolute mess. Onto the food, ordered two different ramens, and two rice bowls. The broth lacked depth and richness, the noodles were overcooked, and the toppings felt more like an afterthought than a carefully curated combination. It wasn't inedible--but it certainly didn't hit the mark for a place specializing in ramen. Rice bowls were just blend no seasoning no sauce. Drinks were good. Jinya might have potential, but it's currently lost in its own lack of focus. With better organization and a serious upgrade in the kitchen, it could be worth another shot. For now, there are better places in town to get your ramen fix.

I have been to the Washington DC location multiple times and was very excited to see this one open in MI. We started with the gyoza and Brussels sprouts. The ramens were great and we were able to add or subtract anything we wanted. There was no wait and we were seated quickly, the restaurant is big and has lots of seating.

Jinya is kind of a miss. Which is dissapointing considering this corner really needs a staple establishment.

Beef about 3 pieces, brisket 5 , very thin pieces. NO TRIPE- they forgot it. Little onions. 3 tiny pieces of tendon $6 fresh rolls. COLD AF. I understand you eat them "cold" but it was like they pre-rolled them & they sat all day in the fridge until it was ordered. I came in around 845PM. Felt the same temp as my ice cold water they brought out. Pork & shrimp very thin. Peanut sauce was very little, def not enough for 2 rolls. Took one small bite & took it home. As a Vietnamese, Very disappointed. Gave this place another shot & I wish I would've spent my $20 elsewhere. I rlly wanted to like them since they open an hour later than other local joints & it's close to where I stay. Sucks, just got back from airport needed some liquid gold in my life. Came in & ordered in Vietnamese, & she didn't understand me. I should've just walked out idk if it was because I came late, or what. I walked in someone was already there, they had a couple of carry outs, but another table of 2 came in. I took my time sifting thru the noodles to make sure I wasn't tripping. Just go the extra 5-7 mins & stick to Madison heights area or go home & make some eggs & rice til the next day. TO ME, It's rlly not worth it as a Vietnamese person, but you may have a different experience & I hope that you do! I hope this review helps them improve because they knew they was skimpy & that shit was cold af let's be real. Street /parallel parking in Ferndale

And whoever mops the floors must have an irrational childhood fear of cleaning corners. Although the floors themselves are clean, each corner has a disgusting black buildup of filth. Likewise, the sinks in the bathroom. They have not been cleaned well in a very long time. Food: the beef roll pie is delicious. The marinated beef is OK but should be served cold, not room temperature. The steamed dumplings were OK too. However, the noodle dishes were oily, bland, flavorless, and just seasoned with a sweet brown sauce. Further, there is almost no meat to be found in the noodle dishes. What I had looked to be scraps. I paid three dollars extra to have the wide hand cut noodle. It was basically served raw to me. Service: this place has no concept of service. Food comes out haphazardly. First I got my entrée, then my daughter got her entree, then we got two appetizers. Sometime later, my son got his entrée, and the steamed dumplings came. Never once was an empty dish taken away, and never once was a water glass refilled. Service here is absolutely awful.
