I was able to check out the Pavillion restaurants during the Yelp event and sampled wonderful dishes from each of the places. I must also note that everyone was friendly and willing to explain their food items. Papelon- jalapeño cheese tequeños. These resembled mini egg rolls. I'm not a huge cheese fan but I enjoyed, the spice was very settled. Dump Truck- I tried the dumplings and the chili plum sauce was delicious. I also returned to try the Baos --these were made to order and I can't wait to have again Zaddy's- I sampled curries grains, and oh boy that was spicy (and I love spicy) but don't forget to have drink on standby. Cosmic Roots- I was able to chat with Isabel the owner and learn about her passion for holistic health. I enjoyed both samples of Mariposa lemonade and mushroom cacao-- both had different tastes that were enjoyable. Hope to get some Matach soon again. Last but not least Treat Dreams! - I cannot stop thinking about the sorbet I had. They had unique flavors of ice cream and sorbet. As I love Coca-Cola, I sampled the Coca-Cola lime sorbet. This was the perfect blend and treat and sample size! When I am back in the local area, I certainly will check out the pavilion. We had Mariposa Lemonade and Izzy Pop a ginger beverage from Cosmic Roots. Both were great. For dessert from Sweet Treats we selected root beer vegan ice cream and double chocolate chip. Both were excellent. The double chocolate is a chocolate lovers dream. The vegan ice cream is oat based. Parking in Ferndale is free on Sundays, so that made our visit even better.

Please keep the Roasted Beet + Citrus Salad and the Curried Leek And Corn Chowder as permanent menu items or at least on regular rotation. I will return to have both items again. I never knew about the canal district of Detroit, but the vibe feels like a vacation in Florida instead of the middle of the Midwest. All of our food tastes so fresh, and I loved the additions of things like edible flowers on the yogurt that we had with our parfaits. The beer is from Griffin Claw, but they made a special Greenfield Village version and it is such a cute can, and well made beer. I also like that you can get some quick service here and take it around the village to consume. Halloween is one of my favorite times of year, and they do a great job.
