Ok, so I mostly like this store, but. . . . Their deli counter seems enticing. It offers pizzas, sandwiches, Poke, Sushi, etc. It's crap. I got the worst "pizza" of my life there. A few bites, and in the trash it went. I would't feed it to my dog.

Haha!

Be forewarned, this store is laid out to make you buy stuff! That's a good thing though - they're doing their job! Snacks and goodies you didn't even know you needed are perfectly displayed around the store in areas you can't miss. The store is very neat and clean, and it's easy to find everything you're looking for (and things not even on your radar lol). I love this store and location. It's one of my favorites! Checkout is always quick and easy, and the staff is always attentive, friendly, and helpful. What's not to love?!

La Fermière French Yogurt! $2.99 each as of 6/23/2021

This review is based purely on a specific item that I have been searching for years - La Fermière French Yogurt. Thank you Pavilions for bringing in La Fermière French Yogurt to your California stores! I fell in love with this yogurt at a fancy hotel in Singapore years ago and have been searching high and low ever since. No stores in Southern California (at least not that I know of) carries it, but I am glad that my search is over because Pavilions came through! I am not a fan of the Oui French Yogurt that started a few years back. It is not the same smooth velvety texture like La Fermière French Yogurt. These lovely fancy yogurts are selling for $2.99 and there is a lot of flavors to choose from. I personally like the French Vanilla the best and I wish they carried the plain ones without any flavoring, but I'm not complaining! If you have never tried La Fermière French Yogurt and are curious, go to Pavilions!

Amazing Ice Cream / Gelato

This gelato is amazing. Highly recommend Nancy's Fancy. I can in for ice cream and left with gelato. Wow! This is creamy, authentic and extremely flavorful! A must buy! Thank you chef!

The Bread Pricing: They have a tiered pricing system for the fresh bread to keep things fair: First 2 pieces: $2.99 each Additional pieces: $3.99 each Pro Tip: Do yourself a favor and grab the Kashk Bademjan (eggplant dip) from the market. The prices are definitely higher than many other markets, but the quality has always been pretty solid. One of the main reasons I come here is for the Korean beef short ribs. Every time I've bought them, they've been fresh and looked great. The only downside for me is the parking lot. Finding a spot can be a challenge depending on the time of day. Other than that, most of the products here, from frozen foods to kimchi and other groceries, have been consistently fresh. The store is clean, well organized, and doesn't have that strong market smell that some grocery stores can have. Everything is laid out in a way that's easy to find, which makes shopping a little more convenient. The staff isn't especially friendly, but they do their job and I've never had any issues.

Easiest thing to do is pray and use the overflow lot to the side. With that in mind, this location pales in comparison to the others. Although Buena Park and Arcadia can get a bit tight for parking, it's never that much of a PvP zone where literally the entire zip code is in one place. It's also not the biggest H Mart that I've been to either. It's not a Super H Mart like some other locations. They do have a small food court off to the side, but seating is limited. The food court has Maison de Croissant (yummy croffles and other baked goods), Pizza Chicken Love Letter (at least the last time I checked), and I think at least one more. Like the other locations they have packed deli food and other bento box type foods that get discounted later on. Very busy and very crowded and since it's smaller, a bit more limited. Does what it has to, but definitely better locations out there.

The grocery is good for what to expect for any Asian market but the main attraction is the food court. It may not seem like much but all of them are really good and would fill up your hunger instantly. My favorites from the top of my head are the Katsu Don if I remember correctly and the Udon section where you pick your tempura (don't know the exact name). Overall good place to eat lunch or even dinner. Another problem would be finding a seat since there's hardly any tables and your plate is pretty big and bowls are heavy so you have to be somewhat quick to find a seat. The ambiance is fine but that's kind of to be expect in any supermarket, which is usually crowds talking and all. I really don't have much to say. Ever since this place closed down the anime shop, the DVD store, and bookstore, this place pretty much lost what made Mitsuwa special and worth visiting. Especially for someone who's into both anime and tokusatsu like Super Sentai (Japanese Power Rangers). Those places are what got me my first Gundam model kit (Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed) and my go to place for Japanese DVDs as mentioned (Gokaiger, Kyoryuger, and Nanoha). I understand why they close down these stores, especially with streaming services and online shopping are a thing, even though I don't fully agree as they are customers like me that would prefer in-store physical copies. That is why I deduct one star. These are replaces with a gachapon store, a Matcha store, a Boba store I believe and Daiso. The matcha and boba place (forgot the names sorry) are surprisingly good. I really like the matcha ice cream in a bowl and I believe the Doncha. The gachapon I cannot say as I never spend money there and I'm not into these gacha machines and I rarely buy anything in Daiso as its just your typical convenience store that sells some Japanese stuff so I won't say much. In conclusion, it's a very nice spot to eat Japanese meals and especially something to fill you up for the day while also shopping to buy Japanese food to cook at home. Just be aware this is pretty pricey, especially the Royce matcha chocolates and the food court.

But if you have never been to a Korean market, give it a try! SO many interesting things you will find. Their produce, meat and seafood items are amazing here. There was a row dedicated just to fresh sashimi and sushi. I was grateful to find their weekly special of pork belly, which looked so thick and juicy. And it is always so much fun to look through their snack, refreshments and frozen aisles. What I could not find was smaller sized rice, which is a bit disappointing, as I did not want to be stuck with a huge size. Also, they are a bit more limited on their ramen and porridge items. Perhaps it is a smaller store? Nonetheless, I had a great time shopping at H Mart Northpark. I was happy with all the purchases I did end up grabbing.
